RMT #2 - Wi-Fi Team!

--------------------
*Introduction*
--------------------
Hello,
This is my second RMT thread since I came back to pokemon. After the results with my last time, It wasn't that great. So I decided to make a new team, this team has netted me 27 win and 6 loss's so far on Shoddy (but mind you this is going to be a Wi-Fi team). So any suggestions that arnt allowed on Wi-Fi I can't do anything about., such as Rotom-App's, I do wish they were allowed. So Im here now with this team I put together looking to make it better then it is now, so please bring all the constuctive critism! So with futher ado... (Revisions will be in red)

*The Team*
--------------------
442.png

Bronzong
@
leftovers.png
(Leftovers)
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/86 Atk/80 Def/92 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion

Reasons: I chose Bronzong (Standard Wall Set) mainly for the Stealth Rock. I have 1 Speed IV on Bronzong since it was the best breed I got, was trying for the 0 Speed IV, but I don’t think that 1 speed will make or break Gyro Ball. Earthquake is just because it’s awesome. Explosion is for a last resort so I can go “boom.”

Synergy:
t_fir.png
- Switch to Heatran.
t_grd.png
- Refer to Ability.
--------------------
130.png

Gyarados
(M) @
leftovers.png
(Leftovers)
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP/72 Atk/96 Def/184 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Taunt
- Waterfall

Reasons: I chose Gyarados (Bulky Dragon Dance) was for his ferocity. I chose the Bulky counterpart so he could survive hits. I chose to have Taunt over a third attack, so toxic stalls have nothing on him. Waterfall was for water STAB. For now I have Bounce, Bounce seems to be a god choice, Its probably me, But it seems to miss more then it hits, causing a lot of Gyarados’s deaths. So If anyone could suggest Earthquake over Bounce (mainly certain situations) would be appreciated.

Synergy:
t_elc.png
- Switch to Jolteon.
t_rck.png
- Switch to Bronzong (Best I can do?)
--------------------
135.png

Jolteon (M) @
choice-specs.png
(Choice Specs)
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Hp/252 SpA/252 Spd
Timid nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Signal Beam
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt

Reasons: Serves the same reason as Electivire did, except Jolteon can also serve as another revenge killer.
The specs allow Jolt to deal out even ore damage. This set was a recommendation from Doctor Who? I have used the Jolt and it does work better then the Electivire did, and still allows me to absorb electric attacks directed at Gyarados, which is the idea of this team.

Synergy:
t_grd.png
- Switch to Gyarados, Gengar, or Bronzong.
--------------------
490.png

Heatran
(F) @
choice-scarf.png
(Choice Scarf)
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Explosion
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Reasons: I chose Heatran (Choice Scarf Set) because of his SpAtk stat and for a Revenge Killer. For the Hidden Power type I’m still drawn between Electric and Grass. Since no one on my team can efficiently deal with Swampert, So maybe Hidden Power Grass might be useful. I chose Flamethrower over Fire Blast due to the accuracy of Fire Blast.

Synergy:
t_wtr.png
- Switch to Gyarados.
t_ftg.png
- Switch to Gengar or Gyarados.
t_grd.png
- Switch to Gengar, Gyarados, or Bronzong.
--------------------
94.png

Gengar
(M) @
life-orb.png
(Life Orb)
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Protect

Reasons: I chose Gengar (MYSTICgar) was for a rapid spinner. And to block Fighting Moves directed towards Blissey, and Ground moves toward Heatran. Focus Blast was to deal with opposing Tyranitar’s that will probably try to Pursuit me. Shadow Ball was for STAB.

Synergy:
t_psy.png
- Switch to Bronzong, Heatran.
t_gho.png
- Switch to Blissey.
t_drk.png
- Switch to Heatran.
--------------------
260.png

Swampert (M) @
leftovers.png
(Leftovers)
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Ice Beam
- Roar
- Protect
- Earthquake

Reasons: I decided on this Swampert over Blissey due to the suggetions I got. I didnt need another SR'r so I placed Protect on this set.
What I would recommend is to replace Blissey, who honestly doesn't really fit on this offensive team, with Swampert, your best bet for the top 3 threats. Note that, if you switch him into Bulky Gyarados and he Dragon dances while you switch and taunts while you roar, he can effectively get another dragon dance and beat your entire team. To prevent this, upon first sight of Gyarados, switch to Jolteon and then to Swampert- if Offensive Jolly, he would have attacked and you can roar him, and if Adamant, he would have switched out.

Ok, Threat list done. Things that i dont know how to counter or need help with will be in RED.

Two small changes. Firstly I suggest Stone Edge>>Earthquake/Bounce on Gyrados. It gives the best coverage. Yeah you might miss hitting Celebi with Bounce or Empoleon with Earthquake but it gives coverage so that other Gyarados can't Intimidate and then set up on you.

Yeah Electivire is walled a lot so as a matter of preference I would suggest Jolteon instead. You don't get the speed boost of Motor Drive but you still get healed and Jolteon is really fast anyway.

Hope I helped.

EDIT: If this team is only for Wifi then maybe you should stick with Electivire because Jolteon lacks good moves without Hidden Power.

You can have Hidden Power on Wi-Fi.
Would a you suggest Spec Jolt?
135.png

Jolteon (M) @
choice-specs.png
(Choice Specs)
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Hp/252 SpA/252 Spd
Timid nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Signal Beam
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power Ice
- Thunderbolt

Reasons:
Serves the same reason as Electivire did, except Jolteon can also serve as another revenge killer.

*Edit* I used to have Stone Edge on another Gyara I used. Its a great move, don't get me wrong. But again it's another move that always seems to miss when you need it too actually hit.

I didn't mean you couldn't use Hidden Power but it would be quite difficult breeding the IVs for the Hidden Power you want. Maybe Hidden Power Ice would be the better choice since Bronzong is your only decent Dragon resistance and he could die early on. Also Gyarados could st up on Swampert late game anyway.

Then again Thunderbolt really dents Dragons anyway so really it depends on what you think hurts your team more.

Well, I could theoretically try for Hidden Power Grass on Heatran? And then that would let me change Jolteons Hidden Power to Ice. Thoughts?

Hey I got your PM, this team looks interesting, but I'd personally run jolteon over Electivire... He really is quite underwhelming, he's in the same vein as Dusknoir as "OU but not good under nearly any circumstances". Jolteon is an absolute nightmare for most offensive teams, so he'd be a lot better.
Don't use Softboiled and Wish on Blissey, use Protect to save her from explosion, this way she can still heal herself.

I'll give you a more full rate once you update your threat list, it's somewhat hard for me to look at a team and spot weakness- I'm sure you'll appreciate the bump anyway. :) PM me again once it's finished.

Im going to try the Jolteon over Evire. Im working on the threat list atm. Just been setting up the format for it took a while. So im inda dreading going back and redoing it.

*EDIT*

Now looking at my team. 4/6 of them are SpAtk oriented.

Ok I got your PM.

First off your team is sub + 3 attacks machamp weak, so you should really use bounce on gyara, but thats gonna be useless if its got a sub up, so i reccomend that you use a bulky togekiss in place for blissey maybe? Other than that try out this set for jolteon:

Jolteon@ Life Orb
EV's: 4Hp 252Spe 252SpA
Nature: Timid/Modest
Ability: Volt Absorb
Moves:

Magnet Rise
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power [Ice]
Shadow Ball

This set lets jolteon escape its weakness for five turns which is very useful and usually forces dragon's like flygon or salamence to either switch or outrage it which gives you the chance to come in with tran or Gyara and set up / eliminate it. The choice of nature is depending on what you want to out speed, timid allows you to outspeed max speed adamant gyara after a DD, modest does not let you do that, but in return you get more power. Hp ice and t-bolt for psuedo bolt beam and shadow ball is purely for filter.

Good Luck!

*Made some changes to the team*
*"Threat List" Updated and Complete*
*Still looking for suggestions on my Considering Section*
*And some overall suggestions on the Team itself*

Ok for togekiss run a calm nature to maximize on spD and put the EV's in def to sp.Atk for extra power. Choose roost over softboiled because it sheds togekss's ice and rock weakness.

Good Luck!

So something like this?

473.png

Togekiss (F) @
leftovers.png
(Leftovers)
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252HP/200DEF/56SpA
Calm nature (+SpD, -Atk)
-Roost
-Aura Sphere
-Thunder Wave
-Air Slash/Protect/Flamethrower

This puts Togekiss at 374 HP, 276 DEF, 290 SpA, 292 SpD?
Still looking for suggestions on a last move? At a complete roadblock with it.

Rate: Part 2! I'm not sure how accurate your threats list is. Jolteon is NOT an answer to DD Gyarados, as the Jolly ones will outspeed. A Jolly Gyarados is stopped by NO member of this team, save your own Gyarados stone edging the thing. Also, DD LO Mence will have it way with this team, make no mistake. DDTar is not revenged by Jolteon- Specs Signal Beam in sandstorm does 51% at MOST. Bronzong is your only hope, pray he isn't in Fire Punch's KO range by then. As you can see, speed boosters are your main problem- your team's relatively high speed helps against a lot of other threats to many teams. This still leaves you vulnerable to Jolly +taunt Gyarados, but I can't solve everything =P

Hope I helped.

Im currently testing the Swampert idea. And, I've always liked the idea or Roar/Whirlwind. On paper it looks good, but ill see how it works off paper.

Im using the MixPert set, if anyone was wondering.

Well anyway I just wrote all this rate went to post it and it said sorry token has expired so I have to rewrite it!!!
Well since now I am lazy it will be a short rate. (Sorry.) But let's cut to the chase. You should use Swampert over Togekiss because Swampert can help with your Mamoswine weakness as well as be able to resist most of Machamps moves. Even though Togekiss can take care of Machamp since it survives Stone edge except from Choice band sets and it can 2HKO Machamp with air slash as well as out speed. Swampert just takes care of more pokemon as Toxic Spork said just how useful he really is at taking out your main threats. Though they both compliment your team way better then Blissey could. Hence your team is fairly offensive and Blissey can not do crap on offense other then Seismic Toss. While both Swampert and Togekiss have power you should not scoff at.
Just a quick recommendation I may get to a more lengthy rate via edit later.

Ok, Made more of the changes. I've been testing the new team with Swampert instead. So far it seems to work very well. Im just now looking on suggestions on different moves on the sets, and possibly different EV spreads to test out.

Ok, After testing this team quite alot. I'm now seeing what exactly I'm having trouble with.

*Celebi, Breloom, and Machamp are all very troublesome for my team.
*A better lead, I love Bronzong, but it seems like he just slows me down alot. As where I could put a pokemon in to better counter those three pokemon I was having trouble with.
