Sorry but, T-major..are you implying Spiritomb doesn't look cartoony?
442.jpg

by comparison, Joe. Sarcophaghost has thin arms that wave out in front of it, which in my opinion seems more cartoony than a swirling spirit with green balls inside it. makes me think of the arms in Spongebob, to be honest. might be just me...

either way, if it does turn out to be a Spritomb evo, I hope they make Spiritomb more strait forward to catch in game.

I don't feel like Spiritomb needs the evo much anyway, its good as is. On the other hand, Sableye does need an evo, and I guess if you follow that logic Mawile would probably get one too. I like the new Pokemon, even the goth girl, I think they look pretty cool. I'd wanna use them all first before I judged them as "horrible".

I guess the new pokemon COULD be a Spiritomb evo- totally possible. Not ruling it out.

However, Game Freak has pretty much categorized Spiritomb as incredibly rare and almost to the point of semi-legendary ('Tomb reminds me a lot of Rotom in that way)...I doubt that Spiritomb would evolve at this point. Additionally, Game Freak really likes to preserve that "no weaknesses" typing IMO.

denchura, the tarantula pokemon might evolve from ariados, since they are both spiders.
That must explain why Beautifly evolves from Metapod and Toxicroak from Poliwhirl.

And despite the fact that there are hundreds of classifications in the spider family.

/bad logic

You know, speaking of the Poliwhirl line, why the hell did it not become a frog? Not only is it obvious, but what if they had never made GSC? It would have been stuck as a tadpole. It's so strange. Is there some species of frog that stays as a tadpole? I just don't understand why they felt content leaving Poliwag as a tadpole throughout its whole line. You could probably pass off Poliwhirl and Poliwrath as really abstract frogs (after all, the whole line in general are pretty abstract representations of tadpoles, ESPECIALLY the latter two), but obviously this wasn't their intention since they made Politoed (and the Pokemon classification, but that could just be another case like Blastoise being a "shellfish").

I think the new spider is rumored to be Bug/Electric? It would of made more sense to give that typing to Volbeat and Illumise.

This probably has been posted a million times but we need a Dolphin Pokemon. :/ I'm just not sure what to type it besides Water.

I highly doubt that. The color scheme is completely off between Denchura and Ariados, and the wouldn't Ariados wouldn't mystically have his poison subtype transformed into electric. Denchura is probably the end of a different line.

Also, Ariados is a spider pokemon, Denchura is a tarantula.

Water/Psychic (even though that's a pretty bad combination) or make it a Water/Fire dolphin that shoots geysers from its blowhole.

Edit: Doesn't Denchura only have 4 legs while Spinarak and Ariados have 6?

Lol. I noticed that too..In the game screen shot, you can only see 4 visable legs on that new bug Pokemon...

I never thought of Spinarak or Ariados as real spiders despite their names and appearance. I want some sort of Dark/Bug Daddy long legs spider for this gen.

Seriously, people always complain about Fire types getting the shaft but Bug and Poison are so under used and there still hasn't been a Bug legendary. :/

I sort of hope the new spider evolves from Ariados, or Ariados has some form of eveloution. I mean, it only has a BST of 390, which isn't even too far off from NFE. Also, I think judging from it's HP in the video, assuming no EV's, it has the exact same HP stat as Ariados, so they aren't too far off from each other.

I bet the tarantula will be B/W early bug type. I.e. Butterfree, Ledian, Beutifly, and Krikitune are also early bug types.

Bug has some really good Pokemon for it (Heracross, Forretress, Scizor) while Poison is decent defensively (No instant recovery is the only reason Weezing isn't OU).

Actually, the biggest evidence for a causal relation between Ariados and Electula is the fact that they both have six legs, four on the ground, two in the air. In fact, of the Pokemon revealed the other day, I think Electula has the second highest chance of evolve from a pre-existing Pokémon.

Personally, I hope it does, not that I don't want another spider line, but it'd be nice precedent if Useless Beginning of Game Bug/Big/Rats could evolve in future games.

I reluctantly agree. I really wish we could get more badass bugs like in GSC though, and not just the bugs in the beginning of the game/random sucky ones. For the record, do not mention Ninjask...he could be obtained relatively early so he doesn't count.

Instant recovery for Poison seems cruel that they haven't offered it, especially considering Breloom has Poison Heal as an ability and it's not Poison :P Sure, it's a mushroom so it works flavor-wise, but Poison should really get SOMETHING new this generation.

For the record, I am not one of those "let's try to make all the types equal" people :D I just think it'd be cool to progress some things about each type.

And they both have two leg thingies on the...whatever a bug's ass is called. XD

One of the most poisonest creatures, it's called the something something hawk, (like tarantula hawk?) has it's poison described as being in an electric chair, perhaps this is where that typing comes from?

I mean, the only reason I see it being similiar is becasue of:

Other than that, It's probably a totally new line

This is another reason why I dont believe Munna will be a drowzee pre-evo....colors for god sake.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the things on Dentula's tail end aren't legs, but rather exaggerated spinnerets. So in actuality, it seems to have only FOUR legs. But Bug-types not having the amount of legs as the animal they are based on is not uncommon at all.

EDIT: Honestly, the only good reason Munna ISN'T a Drowzee prevo is the fact that it wasn't already stated in the Corocoro it was introduced in. What possible reason do they have to hide it?

Now that i look at it again, maybe its those two spinarette things on the back of ariados's body, instead of the top?

or again, im reading too into it and its not related at all
