Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

1. HG/SS delays are usually between 485 - 510 unlike DPPt which are, as you say in the 600ish so yours is not off as you said.
2. Make sure you're doing the calibration phase correctly: it is impossible to have such a high seconds value with such a low delay if you SR by the time the DS clock reaches a new minute. Make sure that you correctly synchronized it with an external clock with a seconds reader and soft/hard reseted when the clock hit 0.
3. 14 isn't a high frame, it's rather low actually.
4. Don't use pikatimer for delays you can usually hit.

Oh thats what was wrong with my seconds, I guess I forgot to do that part. I redid it and got 14 seconds with the same delay. Awesome. I figured that it was a high frame because most of the guides say pick a low frame like 3 or 5. Thanks for your help.

You're welcome. Good luck with your RNG'ing^^

You can use the pokegear right before entering Lugia's part of the cave, so save at the entrance. You check your seed and do the frame advancements there and then take the shortest way to face it. The only thing that can possibly go wrong is you triggering the 128 step count but more than likely that won't happen. If it does and you hit the wrong frame because of that just take that frame advancement into account the next time you try.

What's this 128 step advancement?

every 123 steps = 1 frame?

No, every 128 you take the frame advances by the number of Pokémon in your party. But it's probably not going to happen, however, it can happen as the 128 step counter isn't reseted when you leave the game. As far as we know you can be saved on step 127 xD However, I already RNG'd lots of Pokémon without being right in front of them and never triggered the step count but I've also already used the 128 steps to advance the frame on propose^^

Thanks for pointing that out but the only different thing between DPPt is the seed checking (coin flips --> Elm Calls) and the frame advancement (journal --> Radio/Elm Calls). However, all that info is also posted on the first page.

About the high level Pokémon, they're only needed for the calibration phase because after knowing your usual delay range / learning how to use timers, you'll be able to check it using the Elm Calls. That high level Pokémon can be found on Mt.Silver (it doesn't need to be 50+, usually 47+ is enough for RNG Reporter to find your delay).

About info concerning the frame advancement (radio)/seed checking using the Elm Calls, you can find it in the following posts:
Radio and HGSS monster frames
Seed Verifying using Roamers and Elm Calls

Also the calibration phase is fundamentally the same for both DPPt and HGSS and the post with videos that I pointed on the last post also has videos concerning the RNG abuse on HGSS.

Hope I helped^^
Alright, thanks! Yeah, you did.

I see. Thanks! I'll try this one. I already RNG'd Ho-oh and Groudon just standing in front of them, but Lugia is kinda different. Not to mention I forgot Latios lol

Anyway, do you have any seeds for a Timid 31/30sh? Mines always 2000k frames x.x

It depends. Do you know how to reach high delays? If so, you have seeds like this one:
010b042f,14,11,0,3,0,TIMID,0,31,14,31,31,31,31,DRAGON,70

It's a great seed and with a synch, Lugia the spread appears on frame 3.

If you don't know how to reach high delays using a timer, you have this:
9F030201,508,475,0,473,0,TIMID,0,31,14,31,31,31,31,DRAGON,70

I guess 473 is better than 2000 XD

Thanks for the seeds. I forgot to mention that I can't hit any odd numbers of delay. I don't have any 3rd gen game for my gba slot wew.

LoL, in HGSS that's not what determines even/odd delays ;D
Your delay is consistently even, right? Then you just need to scroll down in the continue screen and up again to hit continue and you'll hit an odd delay.

Hello, sorry but I need a specific explanation here.

What I'm doing is when I enter the continue menu, I scroll down to the new game and when the time is up I scroll up and press continue. Anything I've done wrong? Do I need to press them at the same time? UP + A?

No xD You need to scroll down to the other screen. The one with "Mistery Gift" and the next options.

When I transfer my pokemon to the pokewalker, will the date and time of transfer affect my seed when I abuse for the nature and IVs?

No, only the date and time you first enter the "Connect to Pokéwalker" menu will affect the seed.

Okay. So, usually it takes 1 or 2 seconds for the game to load, right? That's when I'm supposed to hit my seed. But I always get the wrong nature, hardy instead of timid, even if I adjust either 1 or 2 seconds. What could I possibly be doing wrong? I've hit the seed twice before, but now I don't know what's wrong. I'm wondering if the steps affect the seed.

Did you calculate which nature would it be using the Pokémon's PID? You hit your seed: everything fine until then.... It's wired.
What's the PID of your spread?

Based on what WildEep says about Honey Trees, if I have a hexadecimal like this: C6B0, clearly I don't have 4 digits, so if I have to add 0's, do I have exactly do that for this?

Asking this again as I am trying to understand Honey Tree abuse again.

Ok so I am RNGing for a 31/31/31/12/31/31 Gligar Jolly.

This is HG...

I am using Everstone for the nature... I would like one of two answers...
A. Is there a way to RNG for Shinyness Nature Ability before the IV RNG without hitting an entire other delay? I know how in DP but not HGSS.

B. If you don't get the Everstone's nature after you hit the Delay does that mean that every time you hit that delay you will get the same nature and the Everstone will never give me my Jolly nature? I got Naive BTW

Do not use an everstone when doing RNG. The effects are random and you don't need it anyhow. When you RNG you are choosing the nature and ability. The stone doesn't help you.

Edit: I have never used an everstone and never need to. The only items I would use are the ones that make certain babies possible, like incense.

Ok I was reading again for how to abuse honey trees (for a combee) and I thought I was on the right path. This what I had so far:

Step 1. Use the Seed 181105e9 (that is also a shiny spread) and use Method J in the reporter

Step 2. I choose the first PID (2CF69A13) and use the last 4 digits (9A13), which in decimal form is 39443

Step 3. I divide 39443 by 656 to get 60 (disregarding the remainder). That tells me I'm on Column 1

But I only have one PID from this seed. But I can't use the same PID to determine the row, so that kind of leaves me stuck.

Should I put it on Method 1 and keep the Ivs totally cleared out, because I was using a spread from PokeRNG and I use that set of ivs along with Method J.

The IV spread I need requires a delay of 521, but I only manage delays with odd numbers. I have a DS Lite.
Does anyone else experience the same? Eventually have a solution for it?
