Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Ok, thanks ^_^ I'll try 10.

Also, how fast do you have to catch the pokemon? Would two turns be acceptable?

Example: I send out ______ angainst a Lv. 50+ wild _______. I use ________ and the pokemon's health is down to red zone. I throw pokeball and capture _______.

Is that ok, or do I have to catch it on the first turn?

Sorry, posting this again because it was the last post on the last page, so no one saw it.

Btw, I'm reffering to the calibration process, if you're wondering.

Adding to what Stavros said, since you are also not saving the game after any calibration, you can use a masterball to catch the seed pokemon. You just soft reset after so you don't lose your master ball. All you want is the information anyhow, not the pokemon.

Edit:

I have a question about in-game trade pokes, such as Steven Stone's Beldum. Are these pokemon RNG abusable? Or are their IVs pre-determined? I'm asking in case the IVs can be changed like with the roamers, by beating Lance.

Ok, thanks to both of you :)

Edit: Umm... Calibration is going a bit weird... Here's what I got the first time:

Type: Initial
Seconds: 13
Delay: 507

This seemed normal to me, so I kept going like how I usually do. Here's trial number 2:

Type: Initial
Seconds: 2
Dlay: ??? (I forgot, I know it was in the 500s. I didn't log it because I thought it was weird, so I just ignored it) Here's trial number 3:

Type: Initial
Seconds: 41
Delay: 545

Help?

How do I advance the IRNG in Pokewalker to get my desired nature? If I'm getting a Lax natured pokemon, how do I advance it to get a different nature?

Help?

a)you have to synchronize your clock with an external clock and SR on 0 seconds
b)try to get into the game world ASAP. you are too late

Checking to Find Corrections

I'm trying to breed IV's onto a Pokemon.

My seed is ED11028A and the frame is 19. The delay is 640.

I hit the correct flip sequence once before, but it was an incorrect spread that wasn't within 2 adjacent result frames.

My average seconds during the first calibration phase was 14, but also while testing during that time I found that a delay of 640 has a seconds of 15. When I'm SR'ing, should I instead reset 15 seconds prior instead of 14?

Go for one second over your calibrated second and use PikaTimer. You need to begin using PikaTimer and calibrate it to a certain way so you will hit your delay, that means having some extra windows open, Shoddy open, changing the lagg in some way, just to hit your delay consistently.

For calibration, on my Diamond it is 15 because I use and AR to IV Check so I choose a second of 16 just to leave room for error.

Also just keep trying, I tried for 10 hours to get my Deoxys on my Diamond with the correct nature (evil randomly generated natures!) with flawless IVs. So you should be able to get your seed and frame eventually, you can check what frame and seed you are on by looking at the NPCs as well if you are still having some trouble and that can work quite well if you hit your seed quite a lot without getting the right frame.

Also when it comes to hitting your delay to get very consistent results when it comes to hitting your delay look at the screen where the pokemon is moving/changing colors, the screen where it says press start right before the continue button. With enough practice you can determine what delay you hit simply by looking at it.

Would you mind explaining to me how to configure PikaTimer? I realize there's a guide on the first page, but it's a bit confusing to me.

Just an interesting question, but does the ability Magnet Pull have any effect on the encounter codes/slots of an area? Basically what I'm trying to ask is, what does the effect does the ability magnet pull have on the game rng-wise.

I'm going to be one of the only ones to tell you that you really don't need it. If you can figure out your most common delay time, set your year to mimic that delay time, and then just use the common 14.5 seconds for the reload, you should be fine. I synch my DS to my XP computer clock, and I've hit my seed tons of times. :3

Make sure the wanted and calibrated delays are the same and that you have RNG Reporter open along with an internet browser. These will go and help minimize the lagg.

Make the calibrated second and wanted second 15 as well, make these the same. Go and press Start and find out the second and delay you hit, it should hopefully be the same second that you calibrated for and you should hopefully be hitting the same delay consistently. At that point you can make this your calibrated second and delay.

You can use this second just to make sure you are consistent with your results and then just begin updating the delay by inputting the delay you are hitting in the update tab and clicking update until you are almost hitting a very small delay range.

Soon enough you should be hitting your delay consistently and just have to worry about the frame and with calibration in that and experience at looking at how the NPCs move you should be able to hit your seed and frame.

If I want to RNG an egg for someone so it hatches shiny on their game do I have to input their ID and their SID into RNG reporter or use my ID and their sID or some other combo?

You use their ID/SID combo in the shiny egg finder, do everything else normally.

Question regarding RNGing with spinning NPCs in the vicinity:

The frame advancement due to a NPC is always tied to the seed, right? Does this mean that on a given seed, the earliest possible frame might not be 1? I've been experiencing this with my attempts to RNG breed in Pearl and also while RNGing Wondercards.

I mean, I'm sure I don't have any wandering Pokemon but I can't seem to get the frame 1 spread on my Wondercard Pokemon. Am I just not quick enough with the button presses or do certain seeds always have a higher minimum frame due to NPC movement?

You can change the date a bit so the journal comes up immediately and you can begin RNG'ing higher frames like that. Also try going to a different Pokemon Center. I am curious to how you even found a wondercard spread with a frame of 1 as it is the Method 1 Frame + 2.
