How did you create your username?

Millon De Floss is the name of the famous Level 1 Stalker in the Thursday Next books, written by Jasper Fforde. His name is actually a pun on the book "The Mill On The Floss" by George Eliot. Great name.
 
I was going to be sergant shuckle but I would have been shot down by genny. So I thought to myself shuckle is a hero, a bang shuckles my hero is born. At least people are mature here and don't call me suckles my hero. I formally had the worst name ever, prepare yourself... shadow force, so glad I changed it :).

Err... I use the name "Dark" on a bunch of forums, and because Smogon has such a huge community, that name was already taken when I signed up. So, I basically translated it over to Japanese and ended up with Kurai. It's a simple name that suits my pleasures, so I stuck with it. :D

I've thought of changing it to NyxHax, as my doggie's name is Nyx and I always win by Hax. That's it.
 
Mine has quite some history behind it:
I played Adventurequest quite a while ago...yes, I admit it...but I was 12 years old at the time and didn't know the difference. I wanted a username on the forums that wouldn't sound stupid, but wouldn't copy the likes of the creator's nick, "Artix". I went into deep thought, and thought Acklow of Jadestone would sound nice, since Jadestone was some random book series I was thinking of writing but never got around to doing. Soon, I just began using Acklow. Then, I started up the Austrian Spaceship MMOG, Pardus under the User, Acklow the Key. And just recently, I found out about competitive battling, which led me to Smogon. And thus, I decided to use my second nickname, Acklow. It does remind me of Admiral Ackbar, but it has no correlation. That's my really long story.
 
Relatively simple, ChainChomp was the name of an odd mixed Garchomp moveset back in the days when it was still OU. Normally I go by some numbered variation of HydroKirby, but I've gotten kinda tired of it, and just randomly recalled this moveset's name as I browsed through Garchomp's page for what must've been the -insert number-th time. Yes, I also realize that Chain Chomps are those black spherical creatures with large teeth and a linked chain attached to it, eager to take a bite out of Mario.

I still don't understand though, why it was called "ChainChomp"......
 
This is one of my better user names that didn't sound odd or had numbers in it.

Darkstar came from a character in my MegaMan fanfic. I thought it sounded cool and i was quite surprised the name wasn't taken when i arrived here on Smogon.

Also, i named my Lucairo Darkstar as well, so there's bonus points right there. I dunno, it just fit him Imo.
 
I guess just out of randomness, I wanted a cool sounded name. I wanted it symbolize the best pokemon types. Steel is the best defensive type, while Dragon is the best offensive type. Just to note, I am not "steel dragons" from TU. We have very similar usernames though.
 
I read the first fifteen pages of this thread and found some user's accounts to be quite interesting.
I man am regal, a German am I. I'm a music major whose major instrument is tuba.
The fact that it's not Tuba King is pretty annoying sometimes, so I think I'll ask an administrator to change it for me eventually.

You don't need to ask an Admin.

Go to User CP > Click on Change Your Name on the left hand side > Do what the next screen tells you to. You get 3 name changes.
 
I have this nickname since always, Zero comes from the Metroid Prime as in Zero Suit Samus Aran (favorite game hero) and Horus just because i like the egyptian god Horus the Death Guardian it sounds weird xD but i liked Horus even more after i saw a Yugioh card called Horus which is a metallic dragon.

So they both fit and since then i have been using ZeroHorus as my NN everywhere in the net, if you find a ZeroHorus then that's me :P
 
It used to be PokeN3rd_Pwnz0r because someone else had taken PokeN3rd.

Man that is a stupid name. Anyway I changed it to what a random word generator spit out and I am satisfied with the results.
 
For those of you who don't know what "adamant" means, it means "any impenetrably or unyieldingly hard substance" (Dictionary.com). Most known steel is adamant. Jasmine is the Steel-type Gym Leader of the Johto Region and is a girl. Thus, the name Adamant Girl Gasmine was born.
