If we get an evo with it being a massive boar with metal plating and fire coming out of it's nose, then it'll be a pro.

Fire/Steel typing, good defenses, decent attacking stats and low speed. Sure it gets the 4x Ground, but Heatran never had any complaints. It could get Slack Off too, being a pig.

I'm really hoping Pokabu gets some decent stuff going, as you say it's becoming quickly forgotten.

On the subject of Mijimaru's evo, Water/Fighting all the way I reckon, would be a beast. Sub/Reversal/Torrent? Awh yeahhh :D
 
My guess is that the fire starter was not in the beta because he belongs to the new male character. Who is not pictured. I think that Ash will get the Water one not cuz its cooler but because he has had charizard for fire and beyleaf and sceptile for grass not to mention cynaquil finally evolved yet it is type for him to get a fully evolved water pokemon not named kingler. Also the females to starter relations has gone may fire dawn water thus it is about time that the girl gets grass.

Oh and to add on to my last post water fighting hits 7 types super effective by itself and with the addition of a hopeful new ice physical move he would hit 10 out of 17 types for super effective damage.

I've been thinking about the fire pig as well, and wondering about its evolution. I think we should all wait and see all of the starter's final evolutions and typings, before we say 'x' sucks, I mean look what's happening with otter.

Lol how often do you see king or bro as from the most recent statistics he is 75. Yanmega would be UU if he wasn't voted BL as he is like never seen on the ladder. Granted togekiss is 31 which still isn't great. Also it is generally excepted that psychic and flying attacks are not prevelent in the upper tier. Granted in UU flying is an amazing type.
 
Does anyone know when we got the full starter evolutions of for diamond and pearl? Because I really don't wanna wait to see them.

We only got to see them when the game was released which is another reason why I support that the art is fake and c'mon its not even a professional drawing....

Yes but the artist could have just knew about the female charectar from other sources earlier and could have drew the thing in a rush...because LoL....2D Pokabu...and plus there's no reason for the artist to show 2 evolutions and keep the rest for later....they didnt show starters one by one or two by two.

Some may consider this gullible but I truly beleive that its real. If not someone got really lucky with matching the girl or something. I honestly doubt that they will change that much from the beta. As I would image the starters are some of the first pokemon they make. If they do it has probably already been changed so no stopping it now

Poliwrath is a semi-favourite of mine.
His stats aren't really that bad just so balanced in distribution that nothing really stands out as exceptional.
It can hold its own defensively with Water Absorb, seven resistances and 90/95/90 defenses but it's attack is poor without a couple boosts.

Starters on the other hand usually get at least one good attack stat and some good moves so I'd expect some attacking power from Mijumar2.
Fighting, as a second type, is one of the best in this metagame with the SR resist and the Steels/Ttar discouraging Flying and Psychic moves.
So I can't complain about another part Flighting starters unless it is Fire/Fighting. I'd also be fine with other Fire/Fighting Pokemon, in general.
Fire/Dragon, Fire/Fighting, Fire/Steel, Fire/Ground or Forget Fire.

If it is fake will people be happier that smugleaf can be redeemed or sad that otteria won't be coming to stores near you. Crossing my fingers for it being legit
 
Keep in mind if it isn't fake that it is just a sktech. I mean, in order of how much we should care what it looks like: Sketches<Sprites<Fan Art<Official Art. I'm really trying to hold my opinion til we get some more official art. So far Pokabu, Zekrom(it grew on me) and The Ground/Gator are my favorites. I'd like Reksham if it wasn't for that misplaced tuff of down/fur/whatever xD
 
We need the August issue of Coro Coro. Hopefully the 2nd week of July comes fast. Even though I hate spoiling myself, I can't stop checking for leaks pictures and infos.

I hope they release some less horrible Pokemon in the issue,because the most recent ones look bad as sprites ,but definatley some new good ones are needed.

Why? Fan art almost always looks more appealing than the sprites or sketches. Like that floating green ghost/jell Pokemon. That sprite made me think i'd never be able to look at that Pokemno without grimacing. one good fan art pciture later, I'm looking forward tot he official art of it :D
 
I'm personally hoping for the fire boar to be Fire/Ground with decent speed, strong defenses, and a respectable attack or special attack score (or both)
Heatran does just fine with earthpower/fireblast so I'm thinking having stabs on both of those would be great. Not to mention fire/ground is a very strong type combo to be STABing off of

I have to agree with you. The recent pokemon looks horribly bad. The 2 on 2 pic and the 3 pokemon that were sent out most of them looks terrible. Throw in the fire gorilla as well. The zebra one reminds me of Girafarig.
