@King Emerald, take a Mudkip as your starter, named Pimp. It may only evolve into Marshtomp knowing Mud Slap and Swagger, and must keep those moves. I cannot evolve into Swampert.

@ King Emerald:

Take a Seedot and name it Nuzlocke. It has to evolve into a Nuzleaf as soon as possible and cannot evolve into a Shiftry unless it knows four moves of different types, none of which have a base power above 70. No matter what, the Nuzleaf may not evolve before Glacia.

Have fun.

Current team (will edit)
Mudkip (Pimp) Can evovle into marshstomp when it knows Mud slap and swagger and must keep them. Can't evolve into swampert.
Wynaut (Whynot) Can't be the lowest level poke in my party.
Shroomish Must learn spore to evolve.
Seedot (Nuzlocke) Has to evolve as soon as possible. Can't be a shiftry until its moves are different types under base power 70. Can't evolve before Glacia.
Heracross Male (Steve) Has to solo Sydney.
Trapinch (pyroak) From the mirage tower. To evolve, it has to learn giga drain and beat someone from frm team aqua with it, and must keep the move. To evolve again, vibrava must learn both rock tomb and dig, solo Wally, and must also keep those moves. Thanks everyone!

@Chateau: sorry already had 6th member just waiting on nickname to update it so I can't take Winston. But I will give you a Bidoof named "PFC Vagoo" (must be female) it needs to have a +SpA nature. To evolve all of its attacking moves must be special. Once it has a special attacking move it may not be replaced with a Physical attacking move.

@King Emerald: A male Heracross named "Steve" from the Safari Zone. It must solo Sydney (sp?).

@ king emerald

get a trapinch found in the mirage tower, name it Pyroak. to evolve, it has to learn giga drain, and must keep the move. to evolve again, vibrava must learn both rock tomb and dig and must also keep those moves.

extra edit: i see you want it to be hard. trapinch has to evolve by killing someone in team aqua with giga drain. vibrava has to evolve by soloing wally by itself, no items that restore HP can be used.

i love trapinch's random moveset xD

EDIT: Damn, didn't make it in time for King Emerald. Oh well.

EDIT 2: Damn, Chateau's team is loaded with normal types already.

Chateau, I now give you Burmy. You can evolve it into whichever type of Wormadam you want and whenever you want. As a Wormadam, it must know Rain Dance and Skill Swap, one move of the secondary type (Grass, Steel, Ground) and one move of your choice.

FINAL Team!:

  • Turtwig: Cannot evolve into Grotle until lvl 36, cannot evolve into Torterra unless it soloes at least one Pokemon owned by each Gym Leader This will definitely be a "powerhouse".
  • Bidoof (PFCVagoo):Must have a +SpA nature. Cannot evolve unless all of its attacking moves are special. Once it has a special attacking move it may not be replaced with a Physical attacking move. Sweet baby J. Bidoof doesn't learn any Special moves by level up, so TM's it is. Maybe I'll use Simple and Charge Beam, mwuahahaha.
  • Glameow: Cannot evolve until it knows both Charm and Captivate, must keep one of those moves, and must learn Attract at some point. Planning on Fake Out/Charm/U-turn to get free damage. Can't catch one until after Fantina. . .
  • Burmy: As a Wormadam, it must know Rain Dance and Skill Swap, one move of the secondary type (Grass, Steel, Ground) and one move of your choice. Thanks for changing it Dex :P This one will be fun.
  • Snover (SnowCone): Cannot evolve unless it soloes Candice's Abomasnow, finishing it with Blizzard. w00t. This will be helpful.
  • Medicham (Captain): May evolve ASAP, and must know Thunder/Ice Punch Thanks Paradox, I needed that.
This will be fun! I've already started trainging Turtwig, who I have named Noggin, and am searching for the right Bidoof.

Chateau, I changed mine as I didn't see the 2 other normal types. I'd be willing to change again if you don't want another thing weak to fire.

Thanks, and it'll be fine as long as I give it the sand cloak.

Well this seems a good way to spend the summer... Looking to start one on Fire Red, OP's rules, no trades.

Take Magnemite. It's moves must always be the last four moves it can learn through level up. (So at level 44 its moves should be Screech, Swift, Lock-on, Spark, e.g) It can evolve after defeating one of Blaine's pokemon on its own. Oh and it has to be at least the same level as your lowest-level pokemon.

@chateau
hmm, seems like you need a strong fighting or psychic. in that case i give you both xD

take medicham, name it Captain. catch it as soon as you can, and try to get it to evolve before lake valor explodes. as a medicham it has to know the psuedo-boltbeam combo of thunderpunch and ice punch. you can make it into C.falcon if you teach it firepunch if you want. go nuts since your team seems to be lacking in the type coverage department :P

@medusa
since you need something for brock, use a mankey. name it Fireball, and it has to defeat 15 dugtrio in the diglett tunnel to evolve. after evolves, it must keep rage when it learns it, and you must teach and make it keep overheat upon beating blaine.

Update time.

Fire Red: Just beat Lt. Surge rather easily.

Flare the Charmeleon, level 29, Lax (Scratch, Scary Face, Ember, Metal Claw)
Gloom, level 23, Lonely (Absorb, Sweet Scent, Poison Powder, Stun Spore)
King the Ekans, level 24, Brave (Wrap, Glare, Dig, Bite)

Still have to get my Lapras, Poliwhirl/Jynx and Scyther. Won't be evolving Ekans until I have my full team with the moves I want, otherwise I'll have to use all my TM's on Arbok. Gloom can't have more than 2 attacking moves or Sleep Powder. Flare has to solo Erica.

Emerald: Just beat Brawly.

Magicaleaf the Ralts, level 16, Quirky (Growl, Confusion, Teleport, Double Team)
Flare the Combusken, level 17, Adamant (Double Kick, Peck, Focus Energy, Ember)
Zigzagoon, level 14, Impish (Headbutt, Tackle, Sand Attack, Tail Whip)

Still have to get Spinda, Lombre and the first one I find in the desert. This is definately the more difficult challenge.

Meduso:

Take a Pikachu. In order to evolve it you must have at least 100,000 pokedollars with you, and it must know the move Agility(gets at level 33, you may delete it once it is a Raichu).

Aww, i was really hoping to see Frank's response seeing as he has to solo so many gyms... :(

At any rate, f*** Girafarig. I know i accepted one, to be caught outside Lake Valor, but i tried to find one before Pastoria Gym, and now Galactic Bomb has set off after Canalave, and i still haven't seen one (Why???!!! Why do you hate me, Girafarig???). I have a bad feeling it's not showing up because i spelled it's name backwards. haha

Someone replace it with something else. I really don't care what now, though something on the way to Snowpoint would be nice, i don't wanna have to backtrack too much.

My current team (so you don't duplicate) is:

~November (Floatzel) Female, solo'd one of Wake's or all of Byron to evolve, of which it's done both , so it's doubly allowed to be a Floatzel.
~Lorak (Grotle) Leech Seed to be a Grotle, Giga Drain replaces Mega replaces Absorb, Giga to evolve to Torterra.
~CaptFalcon (Staraptor) Only one Brave Bird per Trainer Battle, no Close Combat.
~Bibarel (Bibarel) Simple, one stat up move at all times. Current HM Slave, has Defense Curl.

Will catch a Chimecho at Coronet (10%, why'd i accept this???!!!).

2. Sandshrew (Paradox808) It has to be your lowest level pokemon at all times. In every gym leader battle, it must faint (and be the first to faint). Same goes for each E4 member and the Champion. How on earth is it going to faint against Surge? THAT'S the challenge here

I believe the idea is to just sit there and hope for the best, really. But if it's impossible, you can change it to 'Solo all of Vermillion Gym' instead, on the conditiion that somewhere in your house is a monopoly chance card that says 'you may get out of jail free'. No going out and buying the card.

Treadshot A1, you have a pretty strong team. I sentence you to a Graveler with Explosion or Selfdestruct at all times, and no Ground moves. It can't evolve. You can catch one on the way to Snowpoint.

I've got Turtwig (Noggin) and Bidoof (PFCVagoo), both following all the rules. Trying to keep Vagoo low levelled until I can get the special TM's necessary to evolve so I can snag a few good Physical moves to replace my non-attacks.

Vagoo now has Defense Curl and Simple. This basically moves it to Ubers for any long battle. Some kid outside Oreburgh called me a noob. Must be my Bidoof lead.

how did you not find a girafraig in the valor lakefront? the thing has a encounter rate of 25% in platinum, and 30% in D/P. are you sure you're looking in the right place?

the dugtrio i gave him is already soloing the gym

I'm just gonna defense curl and/or sand attack against something till it dies. That shouldn't break the Solo rule for Dugtrio's ego boost.

What a prick. He must be jealous.

Yes, i am absolutely sure. I've even searched at different times (morning, noon, night) just to find one. I've tried everywhere on route 214 and outside Lake Valor, where bulbapedia says. All i get are stupid Staravias.

DetroitLolcat, is that for me? That means i have a choice between a Graveler and a Crobat. Since i already have a ridiculous weakness to Gyarados (I have to resort to SeedDraining woth Lorak), i'll take the Crobat.

Oops, okay, just sit and wait, sandshrew. And where's Lolcat's post go? Trust me, i didn't make up the Crobat. Honest.

Finnaly caught my seedot. That thing is super rare in emerald took me forever. It's annoying cause it's common in both ruby and saphire.
