Hi, this is my second RMT. It's a bit of a gimmick, the gimmick being that I want to go first a lot. It most likely loses to stall due to the overall lack of power as a result.
So, first, at a glance, we have:
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Stealth Rock
- Thunderbolt
- Explosion
- Taunt
More or less the standard lead Azelf. I chose Thunderbolt over Psychic or Fire Blast in order to have the best neutral coverage among the current OU metagame. I chose Azelf because Stealth Rock is a great help and Azelf is one of the better independent leads at achieving it while still dealing major damage before going out - its Explosion is extremely helpful as a last strike before it goes out, or to just to take down certain anti-leads that I won't want to answer later.
Metagross @ Life Orb
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- ThunderPunch
This is, stat for stat, the standard AgiliGross build. Even with its relative predictability, a Metagross running on 418 speed and 405 attack is incredibly hard to play around unless met by its dedicated counter, Rotom-A.
Scizor (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Technician
EVs: 180 Atk / 176 Spd / 148 SAtk
IVs: 31 HP / 30 Att / 31 Def / 30 Spd / 28 SAtk / 31 SDef
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Agility
- Superpower
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Bullet Punch
This is a bit of a silly build. This is the Scizor that comes in on an opposing Scizor and sets up. With the given speed EVs, Agility will allow it to outspeed and OHKO a ScarfTran if it decides to switch in, while (with significant SAtk investment due to Scizor's horrible base 50 SAtk) HP Fire will OHKO the given CB Scizor set on Smogon after Stealth Rock. For the final slot I chose Bullet Punch in case I'd ever need Scizor to just priority something without having time to set up speed.
Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Steadfast
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Ice Punch
Agility Lucario can surprise a lot of people attempting to switch for a quick check, like Gengar, Heatran, Salamence, etc. He doesn't hit quite as hard as the Swords Dance variant, but he works great when just cleaning up the remainder after the rest of my team has had its way with the opponents.
Porygon-Z @ Life Orb
Trait: Adaptability
EVs: 124 HP / 132 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Agility
- Tri Attack
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
This thing hits absurdly hard. EVs were put into HP to give it a little bit more survivability, with enough speed to outrun a +Spd Choice Scarfed base 100. Having the highest Special Attack in OU, boosted by Life Orb, along with an incredibly powerful STAB in Tri Attack, along with excellent coverage in Dark Pulse and HP Fighting, Porygon-Z will definitely leave a large mark of destruction before it goes down, if allowed to set up.
Jolteon (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Baton Pass
- Hidden Power [Grass]
Jolteon's just here because he STABs Thunderbolt and kills stuff. I didn't really put too much thought in this sixth slot, since I ran out of good things that ran Agility (though Jolteon can use Agility, I don't see how it'd really help matters at all), but the raw power of Jolteon's Thunderbolt has been very satisfactory for me.
Basically put a Pokémon in, Agility up, take as many things as possible down before finally dying to either Life Orb recoil or some revenge killer, then repeat the process. Jolteon can function as a revenge, a cleaner, a check, and in some hilarious cases a mid-game sweeper. Cry when stall tells me my lack of mixed options are never going to let me out-tempo.
