I was thinking of starting a project to make a CAP Pokémon on another forum, once it was done would I be able to post it on these forums and see what you guys think?

Are we sure persistent is working with Trick Room and Gravity? I used a Gravity Fidgit today (i double checked that its ability was persistent) and gravity only lasted five turns, including the turn i used it. (i counted the turns 2 or 3 times, looking to see if i made a mistake, and i got 5 turns every time) I didnt save the log, but i can easliy edit one in later if need be.

Okay, I tested this out. Here are the results:

Trick Room w/ Persistent
XXX used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around the foe's team!
Fidgit used Trick Room.
Fidgit twisted the dimensions!
---
XXX used Stealth Rock.
But it failed!
Fidgit used Taunt.
Gliscor fell for the taunt!
---
XXX switched in Roserade (lvl 100 Roserade ?).
Fidgit used Taunt.
Roserade fell for the taunt!
---
XXX switched in Cyclohm (lvl 100 Cyclohm ?).
Fidgit used Taunt.
Cyclohm fell for the taunt!
---
XXX switched in Revenankh (lvl 100 Revenankh ?).
Fidgit used Taunt.
Revenankh fell for the taunt!
---
XXX switched in Stratagem (lvl 100 Stratagem).
Fidgit used Taunt.
Stratagem fell for the taunt!
---
XXX switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).
Fidgit used Taunt.
Metagross fell for the taunt!
The twisted dimensions returned to normal!
---
Trick Room with a Persistent boost is working properly. Trick Room lasted for seven turns.

Gravity w/ Persistent
Fidgit used Gravity.
Gravity intensified!
Gliscor used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around the foe's team!
---
Fidgit used Taunt.
Gliscor fell for the taunt!
Gliscor used Stealth Rock.
Gliscor can't use Stealth Rock after the taunt!
---
XXX switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).
Fidgit used Taunt.
Metagross fell for the taunt!
---
XXX switched in Stratagem (lvl 100 Stratagem).
Fidgit used Taunt.
Stratagem fell for the taunt!
---
XXX switched in Revenankh (lvl 100 Revenankh ?).
Fidgit used Taunt.
Revenankh fell for the taunt!
Gravity returned to normal!
---
This is where things start to mess up. Gravity is not actually staying in effect for the full seven turns. The Persistent boost is ignored.

Thanks for bringing this up. It will get fixed.

I tested all of Fidgit's field effects with Zy. All of them work correctly except Gravity, which as you noticed, only lasts 5 turns. (Might I suggest Fidgit's Persistent be applied to Lucky Chant as well?)

Because I assume Doug has not gotten around to it. (Although I may be wrong, so you might want a second opiniion...)

A couple of questions:
1) What were the initial concepts for CAP1-CAP8?
2) Has anybody ever considered archiving the building processes behind each CAP, or is it just a case of scrolling back through the pages of threads?
3) What is the base power of Grass Knot against Collosoil?

Thanks in advance.

caps 1-3 didn't have concepts as we now define them. cap4 was "total support", cap5 was "break the mold" (something game freak hadn't done, like a rock-typed special sweeper), cap6 was "decentralizer" intended to reshape the top 10 pokemon, cap7 was "ultimate scout" and cap8 was "underused ability".

grass knot and low kick hit colossoil with 120 power.

Hi. My brother just showed me this cap project and i love it. One question though. He told me that using his computer to vote in a poll would get us both kicked out because it used the same computer address or something. Is that true?

more or less
You both would have the same ip address; as such people might think you are just an alternate account made by your brother so that he could skew the polls in favor of what he wanted to win.
You might also be banned(and your brother infracted) for "creating alternate accounts", if an admin decides that you are not actually your brother's brother and just your brother on another account.

You might want to talk to an administrator about this.

Code:
Arghonaut is tightening its focus!
Colossoil used Moonlight.
Colossoil restored 13% of its health.
Arghonaut used Focus Punch.
It's super effective!
Colossoil lost 100% of its health.
ssbbm's Colossoil fainted.
Arghonaut's leftovers restored its health a little!
Arghonaut restored 6% of its health.
Arghonaut's perish count fell to 2!

ssbbm switched in Fidgit (lvl 100 Fidgit ♂).
Fidgit was hurt by Spikes!
Fidgit lost 19% of its health.
Fidgit used Encore.
Arghonaut got an encore!
Arghonaut used Focus Punch.
Fidgit's leftovers restored its health a little!
Fidgit restored 6% of its health.
Arghonaut's leftovers restored its health a little!
Arghonaut restored 6% of its health.
Arghonaut's perish count fell to 1!
Is this supposed to happen, or is this a glitch?
(I used Encore on Focus Punch, and I got no damage.)

Since Im new here and I want to get a litter deeper, with CAP11 coming to and and:
What exactly is the "Concept Submissions" event and what exactly is a "concept" for a pokemon? The CAP site doesn't really explain that.

If I wish to create a movepool for CaP11, I know I need to follow the movepool limit, type-move and move-move requirements from here; I need to include all of the bold TMs from here; and I need to respect the allowed/disallowed movelist which will be determined in a future forum topic.

Are there any other requirements or resources I should be aware of? For example, are there any guidelines on which Tutor Moves CaP11 should know, or is that completely up to me?

EDIT @Rising_Dusk: Thank you!

Almost all Pokemon get the move tutor moves Mimic and Snore. Even those aren't "required", though, they're just "recommended for consistency". You generally have free reign (within given limits) of what to pick.
