Team Nitroglycerin! [OU]

First post here on smogon, and first RMT. This team is going pretty good, not the best, but good enough.
Changes in BOLD GREEN

Blader (Gallade) (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Steadfast
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Leaf Blade/Ice Punch
- Psycho Cut
- Shadow Sneak

My personal favorite lead, and my favorite all-time pokemon. People will be stunned to find out how much damage it usually does. I'm thinking of changing it to lum berry, so I can fight off sleeping leads. However, Gallade's physical defense isn't great and if I do that, most leads can KO me. My reaction to the top leads:

Azelf: Shadow Sneak can usually 2-3HKO, but usually, I will lose because it can get the chance to set up screens, rocks, and explode. Unless I replace one of my moves with night slash, but then I lose the other benefits.
Metagross: Close Combat should 2HKO the majority.
Swampert: Leaf Blade.
Machamp: Psycho Cut can 1-2HKO.
Jirachi: Lose
Aerodactyl: Close Combat + Shadow Sneak. Most will usually taunt.
Infernape: Psycho Cut + Shadow Sneak.
Roserade: Lose. Unless I opt for Lum berry. If that's the case, Psycho Cut + Shadow sneak.
Heatran: Close Combat
Tyranitar: Close Combat
Gliscor: Lose. Unless I opt for Ice Punch.
Empoleon: Close Combat + Shadow Sneak
Uxie: Lose. Unless I opt for Night Slash
Ninjask: Ice Punch, but Psycho Cut can do heavy damage anyway, due to craptastic defenses. When it's health is low enough, without a sub, I can shadow sneak to KO it.
Smeargle: Lose, unless I opt for lum berry. Then Close Combat can kill it, but Shadow sneak can't finish it off, due to immunity.
Dragonite: Lose, unless I opt for Ice Punch.
Crobat: Psycho Cut, and Brave Bird helps me KO it, due to recoil and focus sash. If it doesn't have Brave Bird, then it has hypnosis, which will make me lose, unless I opt for Lum Berry.
Yanmega: Who doesn't hate these things? Psycho Cut can do good damage, and Ice Punch knocks it down to its sash, but Hypnosis can screw me over, unless I opt for Lum Berry, but then I get killed by Air Slash.

Ozai (Heatran) (M) @ Shuca Berry
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion

I use this heatran as an early-game stealth rock set-upper. I can also use Heatran to switch into Fire Type attacks and get a free turn, plus a boost. Fire Blast should be able to at least dent those that do not resist. Earth Power is for Coverage. And Explosion because I do not want to be walled by blissey, suicune, or vaporeon (predicting when it will protect of course)

lucario_04.gif

Skywalker (Lucario) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Bullet Punch
- ExtremeSpeed

My FAVORITE Late game sweeper. Seriously. But who doesn't know what it does. It sets up Swords Dance either on the opponent's switch or on something it resists/is immune to, and fires off extremely powerful stab Close Combats, powerful extremespeeds, and crunch for those ghosts and psychics. One drawback with extremespeed: Gengar. I'm even ready to opt Bullet Punch just to finish Gengar off, because it can outspeed me and KO me with focus blast, something that tyranitar cannot switch into. I switched Crunch over Bullet Punch because it can surprise would-be checks and counters. However, now Rotom completely walls me, but that's what tyranitar is for. Also changed Jolly to Adamant because now I have 2 priority moves.

248Tyranitar.png

Krag (Tyranitar) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit

Scarf Tyranitar. This used to be pretty unpredictable and could almost always takes something out. But now that it is widely popular, it's just way too predictable. However, it still gets the job done, outspeeding fast threats such as Gengar and Infernape (without mach punch/vacuum wave), and KO them.

rotomheat.png

Toaster (Rotom) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Reflect

Ah, Rotom. With awesome resistances, ability to counter most steel types, great defenses, and ghost typing, this guy has to be a staple on my team, as it can resist most attacks this team is weak to. Not only that, but it can also support the team with reflect, and take a pursuit much better.

vaporeon.png

Aquaria (Vaporeon) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Surf
- Roar

Vaporeon, The team's wish passer and supporter. Vaporeon also does a decent check to Rest Talk Suicunes in case Heatran is unable to explode. Vaporeon is also a decent wall and staller of sorts. I'm thinking of switching protect with toxic, in case something goes wrong. Switched HP electric with roar, to serve as my phazer and be able to combat other threats.

That's pretty much my team. Rate, Love, Hate, Steal.

I think I've got a few decent ideas I'd like to suggest. The main issue seems to be the lack of a Ground- and Electric- type immunity / resist as well as a better switch-in to Fighting- type moves as Gallade is not the best candidate to do so. These three types are used a lot in the current metagame so this is definitely a big problem because you don't have anything that can switch-into the threats that utilize those types (You also have a lot of Pokemons that are weak to those types). Looking at your team, this team is vulnerable to offensive threats such as CM Suicune and Agility Metagross. Scizor is easily the most replaceable member, since you already have Tyranitar with Pursuit. The best way of fixing those issues is the addition of Rotom-H instead of Scizor. Rotom-H provides a decent switch-in to Ground-, Fighting- and Electric- type attacks while giving you a way of dealing with Suicune and Agil-Gross. Use Rotom-H (Bold Nature) with Leftovers and the following moveset: Overheat | Thunderbolt | Shadow Ball | Reflect and 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spe as an EV spread. Rotom-H also pairs well with SD Lucario, luring in Pursuit users and switching to Lucario (assuming Reflect is up to reduce Pursuit's damage) and proceed to set-up.

As for minor changes, Bullet Punch is decent alternative instead of Crunch on Lucario since Tyranitar is already trapping Psychic- and Ghost- types. It allows you to surprise Scarf TTar and Gengar that attempt to take you down. On Gallade, I would opt for Ice Punch instead of Leaf Blade to hit Gliscor and Dragonite leads and Lum Berry to take on Machamp, Roserade and Smeargle leads. Also, while it may seem a bit weird, Swords Dance is an excelent option instead of Psycho Cut since a +2 Close Combat hits Swampert, Hippowdon and Machamp very hard. Also, try replacing HP Electric with Roar on Vaporeon which also helps against Suicune and lets you scout the foe's team.

I think these changes should improve your team, so I would definitely give it a test.

Agreed. I changed it right away.

Tested it. Works better than before, although, now Rotom forms completely wall me, no matter what I do, oh well, that's what tyranitar is for.

On Gallade, I would opt for Ice Punch instead of Leaf Blade to hit Gliscor and Dragonite leads and Lum Berry to take on Machamp, Roserade and Smeargle leads.

Problem is with opting Ice Punch instead of leaf blade is that Gliscor and Dragonite leads are much less common than Swampert leads. And the problem with Lum Berry is that physical leads are able to take me out no problem with Gallade's crappy defense and Hp.

Also, while it may seem a bit weird, Swords Dance is an excelent option instead of Psycho Cut since a +2 Close Combat hits Swampert, Hippowdon and Machamp very hard.

I'll test this out. Not to keen on this idea though.

Since Rotom-H can somewhat deal with DD Gyarados, replace HP Electric with Roar on Vaporeon which also helps against Dragonite and Suicune.

Agreed.

I think these changes should improve your team, so I would definitely give it a test.
