Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

JavaRNG is used to find a particular seed. For example, I wanted a Timid Suicune with HP Electric. So I entered the IVs/Nature I wanted, and it found a spread I could use. Then I inputed it in the RNG Reporter to find my desired date and time.

Pikatimer is there to help you hit your delay. JavaRNG helps you find a specific seed. I'd recommend using both.

So I'm watching Bearsfan video and it seems like he gets the same seed in JavaRNG and in RNG reporter like when he goes into the seed finder and enters the IV's. Am I supposed to get this also?

If you want your legendary Pokemon to have a specific nature/IV spread, you should do this too.

Okay. That video for the Legendary one is so confusing.

It seems he is assuming we are going after Suicune or any other stationary Legendary, which I am not.

I am going after roamers. But I assume he believes that is a better position to start, or once again, I am assuming he thinks that what people are looking for.

Now I am not trying to be rude or anything. I am just confused on how to start. o.o

I'm having trouble with the Enigma Latios. I'm hitting my delay but not the second I want (49 instead of 50). I'm using Pikatimer. If someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, it would be appreciated.

@ Shurokun : Bearfans' video doesn't explain how to RNG roamers. I suggest reading the guide on the first page of this thread.

Shoruken, I don't know how much experience you have with RNG catches, but if you don't have much or none at all, you should start with a standing legendary. This will be enough to at least get you familiar with all the basic steps of RNG catches. After that, you can go to the first page of this help thread and look for the post with the specific written guides about doing the RNG on HGSS roamers. Seeing as how you need to do the RNG for them before beating the Pokemon Champion, the steps are a bit more complicated.

Alright. Thanks. But do you think I should go for Roamers first or Stationary?

Also, I forget. Suicune and the Kanto birds show up after you get 16 badges, correct?

And to abuse each legendary, I have to do it one at a time, meaning if I do Suicune, I have to kill all roamers and then beat the E4, then go to it?

Alright. I will do Suicune first, Riski. I figured there was a reason he choose a stationary for the video.

Just add 1 second to the first timer and that should put you into the second you need.

No, you don't have to go through the elite 4 each time. You can leave the roamers out as long as you want, since all they do is advance the frame (ranging from 1-3 depending on how many you have out). You can go in any order you like as well.

You DON'T have to kill the roamers. It's only going to advance your frame a little if you don't, but usually frames are high for stationary Pokemon. I went after Suicune without killing them and I still got the Suicune I wanted.

Alright. Thanks for the help as well, Coktal.

All you guys have been of great help. :)

So yeah, I am gonna start with Suicune to make it easier.

Though I might not go for a Shiny. I don't feel like trading right now and I am not sure if that Giritina guy is on. xD

So my only question now, is. Since I already beat the E4 the first time and all the roamers are out.(all 3), do I just proceed to Suicune as normal, following the instructions of the video or should I beat the E4 again, just incase. As I want to start on the default frames for all 3 roamers, which apparently is 1, 6, and 11.

Okay nevermind the third paragraph. xD

Graymonkey, that is a relatively small frame number, so I don't see that it's a problem. Frames are very easy to advance in HGSS with the radio and 346 is still a fairly small number of journal flips for DPPt.

Shoruken, leave your Roamers alone for as long as possible. They are the first thing I look at when wanting a quick clue as to which delay I landed on. They're useful.

You don't need to battle the Elite 4 again. The only reason for abusing purposes to rebattle the Elite 4 is to re-release the roamers that you have KOed.

But yeah, just continue the story of the game until Suicune is standing at the Cape (you have to see it roaming around a few more times once in Kanto). Iirc, there's one spot to the right of Fushia City along the edge of the water going North. I can't remeber if there are any more places you see it before you can battle it.

Oh. Yeah, I already seen him everywhere. I just had to beat Misty(Which i forgot xD)

Anywho, so I am almost done with Misty. And I guess I will just review the video again.

I am looking for a Suicune with 31/0/31/31/31/31. Timid with HP Elec, btw.

Ok cool cause in that Bearsfan video he was saying we should avoid above 200. Thats a lot of calls to make though...

The end product, might be worth it, though.

God. I forgot about Misty's Quagsire. >.>

Anywho, if I have anymore questions, I will let you know.

He may have made the video before Radioseed. Anyhow, the radio station on the top right advances the frames between 13 to 15. Even if you don't download Radioseed, you can still carefully use the radio (tune and detune it to that station) about 9 times to advance the frames and then carefully use Elm calls to relocate yourself and then advance the remaining frames by phone calls.

So say I have 200 frames to reach. And Elm's calls are 1 frame.

Does that mean I have to call him 200 times, then battle Suicune?

Like as of right now, I just beat Misty. So I don't know if I should reset after, I save or continue on over to Suicune, then head to RNGreporter and what not.

That sounds like a good idea, i don't know if I really want to risk it though

Actually now that I'm doing it, when you say tune and detune do you mean going on the station and then into the fuzz?
