do EVs always transfer from pre-evolutions cuz my gyrados got low att even though i trained adamant magikarp in attack

EV Transfer Question: Yes EVs always transfer. I think you might of read something wrong. Mabey, unlikely though, did you evolve another Magikarp?

Not sure about the other question.

I have a question. FOr the past few weeks my Shoddy Battle Download was working. Now whenever I open it, it says it's unable to launch the application. What's wrong with it or my computer?

Can some1 plz tell me wat's wrong?

Yes they do. You should look at the IVs and nature of the Gyarados, as those would play a huge role in it's final Attack stat. Also keep in mind the level of your Gyarados, and if you got all 252 Attack EVs for it, or just a few.

And stop double posting. If you have something else to say before somebody else posts, edit your previous post to include it instead of making a new one.

If I were to send a Pokemon into the Pokewalker and then start a new game, would I be able to restore it to my game afterwards?

I think you lose your pokewalker pokemon
Similar glitch allows you to duplicate your pokemon by having one in pokewlaker and one in game, but the pokewalker one deletes itself

@MegamanX propably HP Fighting else you will be walled by tyranitar/heatran assuming you run Nasty Plot/Heatwave/Hypervoice, but really Chatot shouldnt be used in OU his best selling points are his above average Speed and SpA with a less than medicore typing and more than awful defenses. Sure Nasty Plot is cool and after a boost it packs quite some punch but outside of a choiced EQ/Shadow Ball you will never get the opportunity to set up since almost every hit will OHKO you.

He may not be the worst pokemon, but he is NU for a reason.

Looking at the standard Choice Specs build for Jolteon, Baton Pass is listed as a move for scouting purposes.

I'm probably missing something here, but with Jolteon's speed, wouldn't a dry Baton Pass be the same as manually switching in a pokemon?

No, because with Baton Pass you can see what your opponent switches into before you Baton Pass out (switches are done before moves).
This is much better then making a "blind switch" and hope you get a good outcome.

Okay, I'm trying to Sweet Scent Ditto with a flawless spread. I've been able to do it 9 times successfully but it always comes out on a Spearow. So now I have 9 flawless Spearow, and I was wondering how you get a different species. Thanks!!:)

With Sweet Scent you have a random encounter with pokemon in that area. Since Spearow is probably the most common pokemon in that area he will be encountered most of the time. I suggest just to keep trying, if you're on the right route Ditto will come out eventually.

I'm on Route 47 and there is a Swarm of Ditto in the area. It's just that whenever I use Sweet Scent on that particular frame, it turns out to be a Spearow. Should I try a different tile perhaps?

EDIT: I just realized this is the wrong section.... Whoops, sorry...

Oh, that makes a lot more sense now. Thanks =)

Is the EV training system the same in both Heart Gold/Soul Silver and Diamond/Pearl? What differences should I know about before I go ahead and EV train?

When I visit the Strategy Pokedex, why do they not have EV points allocations and pokemon natures for each pokemon, under G/S, as they do for R/S and D/P?

I'm using a butterfree with 252hps but cant switch into rocks twice. How can i just adjust it so i can switch in more than once

Do rare candies effect Ev's, or is it just neatral level up with no ev's involved?
Rare Candies don't affect EVs at all--they don't give you any, take any away, or affect EVs in any way.

In the original Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal, stats were calculated a bit differently then they are now, and they didn't have the current EV/IV system. That's why EVs aren't listed in the analysis in the R/B and G/S sections.

However, HeartGold and SoulSilver do follow the same EV system as DPPt (and the same is true of FireRed and LeafGreen), so you don't need to worry about anything there.
