Sand Power is the one that deals with sandstorm (increases damage or something? I don't remember off the top of my head). Sand Throw is the one that we don't know about.

I think if Illuminate had a boost it would have been mentioned in the article, but I guess it doesn't hurt to be hopeful.

Did anyone notice how deadly Victory Star could be? Victini's Fire Blast will either never miss or have a very small chance at missing, and the same goes for Focus Blast. Its movepool will probably decide which tier it's sent to, because if it gets loads of the powerful but low-accuracy moves, it's going to be a beast.
We've discussed this a lot too, lol. Fire Blast, Focus Blast, Psycho Boost, and Blizzard. Bam it's a beast :D

Has anyone mentioned how Mamanbou's Healing Heart may combine with Resters in double/triple battles to work like Manaphy's RainRestHydration combo but on partners?

If this is everything from the so called "Master Document", I'm pretty disappointed. :/

That said, Herbivore is a really cool ability and the demo Pokémon looks interesting. I wasn't expecting Miruhogu to light up..

Just to be clear... Is "Miruhogu" the Furret-esque one with red stripes on it, and that seemingly evolves from that chimpunk one?

From what I see, Herbivore means Bambi will completely shit over Grass-types' faces, lol. Motor Drive and Flash Fire absorb Thunder Wave and Will-O-Wisp, so it's to be expected Herbivore will do the same to Sleep Powder and Spore (!!!). A Fire/Grass summer evo for Bambi will make it eat any Grass-type's soul and also get it to switch in on two of Breloom's moves, while a Grass/Ghost autumn evo would make it completely stop the poor mushroom.

I'm perfectly okay with this.
So am I. I hate Breloom with a passion and wouldn't mind him being nerfed like that. In fact, I'd be perfectly alright with him being dropped from OU entirely since all he has going for him is Spore (Swords Dance is much easier to handle).

I have a hunch Illuminate will get a boost. An Intimidate for Accuracy.
Maybe it'll lower defense since it says he scares them. Perhaps this is why they made an ability that prevents defense drop. Give this man a Scarf, You First, and pair him up with Kings Rock Machamp with Rock Slide, and you have a great doubles strategy.

Of course, this is assuming it lowers Defense

I know. I liked how the early rodents seemed to be getting better each gen, and I was hoping it would follow through, but as soon as Minezumi's abilities were Run Away or Keen Eye, I knew it was not worth hoping anymore. But then lo and behold, Miruhog actually replaced Run Away with something... with an ability that's just as useless... Gahhh, Miruhog is so cool. But he's doomed with a BST worthy of an early rodent and poor abilities AND pure Normal typing.
Well, if MWL is right about Illuminate getting a boost, then maybe there's still a little hope. Don't give up on the little MeerHog yet!

I'm pretty sure Sand Throw and Sand Power do different things, we just only know what Sand Power does.
Ah, I was reading it as both Power and Throw get a boost in Sandstorm, not just Power. My mistake.

And I think Herbivore IS like a Grass-type Flash Fire, just Pokebeach or Corocoro wasn't very specific and only said "attack". I don't know if that's intended to be the Attack stat or just attack in general which probably means Grass-type attacks. ORRR maybe not. It could be like a Grass-type, Attack-boosting Motor Drive... oh well, either way it's more interesting than Chlorophyll.
I'm hoping it's like Motor Drive. Having Bambi absorb Grass Knot aimed at Swampert and then Baton Passing the attack boost to, say, Agiligross, and it'd cause some havoc.

Yay! I love speculation.

Sand Power apparently increases attack power during Sandstorm (according to Pokébeach); I'd guess Sand Throw makes Sandstorm do 1/8 damage.

Poison Heal and 130 Base Attack STAB Focus Punch too. But yes, I do not like Spore either.

Could work too. I know in-game descriptions of pokémon do not mean much, but I really think Illuminate will reduce the opponent's [stat] this gen. I mean, this bugger HAS to be better than Bibarel... right?

Generation 5 is looking to be pretty good in my opinion. The one thing I'm not looking forward to is random battles with people using hacked Pokemon or something equally annoying.

Maybe they'll change illuminate this gen? Make it decent?
That would be good for a change. I hate that there are abilities with no value for battles (runaway, illuminate, ect.) I could see illuminate working as a accuracy based version of intimidate...if it needed a change.

Unfortunately, even with a Defense/Accuracy-lowering ability in Illuminate, unless it's stats are above average for early rodents I don't imagine it beating out Bibarel or Linoone. It's really unfortunate. But I suppose there's no reason to denounce Miruhog just yet.

I'm sure there's plenty more information from the Master Document, but unfortunately I think we've seen all the Pokemon that are gonna be revealed in it. The rest will probably just be odds and ends information.

The more I look at it the more I like Moguryuu. I like the concaveness of his arms.

These seasons are starting to worry me. It looks like there are places you can only get to in winter... I don't want to have to wait a month to get to an area.

I would think Sand Throw might allow it to hit Flying-types and levitators with Ground-type moves, but that's just speculation given the name of the ability.

Only thing I'm surprised about is that they didn't reveal Emonga, since it was the only shown off Pokemon in the demo to get art and a profile.

I doubt seasons will be anything progress-impeding, stopping you from beating the game. It'll probably just allow you to get special items and such... maybe even special Pokemon?

@General Tso: That's actually called the "Pokemon File". It just includes pictures of all the Pokemon we know about... which obviously means no other new Pokemon in that issue. So I guess your point still stands...

Forget Emonga, it's the Pokemon that single-handedly ruined my hopes for a decent Pachirisu evo.

Also, I'm upset about Luvdisc's evo not getting some kind of awesome SpA-boosting ability when its raining. I dunno why I thought the horrible, cute pokes would become awesome in Gen5 but it doesn't hurt to hope, right?

I don't care about new pokemon right now, just about moremoremoremore information on them and their moves. And I love Moguryo and it's evo, I want it to be Ground/Steel :D

Poison Heal I'll give you, but with base 70 Speed and no Spore, his STAB Focus Punch is useless unless you're really, really good at predicting. He can still Sub, sure, but send in a Sub breaker or a Tank and he's done.

Well, maybe it will be an -amazing- tank. Two defensive abilities and all

So swana has Pidgeon Heart ? I don't know what the GF staff have in their heads
We still don't have the Swana page, so that might be a wrong on the guy who wrote up the info's part. He got Healing Heart, wrong, for example.

Strangely enough, there's no Zorua/Zoroark there.

Point given.
