Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Guys...

I am hatching an egg with frame 4..

So before i put the egg in for daycare, i called elm 10 times to verify my seed?

So, by doing this, does it increase my frame to 10 ?

Furthermore, how do i achieve frame of 4? Since by taking an egg is 1 and calling joey is 2, can i call elm because calling elm seems to increase the frame by 1?

Ok, can someone PLEASE give me an answer to this? It's been on 3 different pages with no response yet. Thank you

Walking up the lader is 0 frames avancement. Walking up to it is also 0.
Still, for my catch I simpli advanced frame till 10 frames prior to my target downstairs. Then I climbed up and approached Ho-oh and advanced my frames to my target.

No, calling Elm/Joey advances a different RNG (for IVs) than for egg generation.

In theory you are suppose to accept/reject the eggs until the 4th egg which should be the egg you're looking for, but I've always had trouble with something (which I believe to be incoming phone calls) advancing the RNG making me skip the egg I wanted whenever it wasn't on frame one.

I'd suggest only choosing eggs that are on frame one, but maybe you'll have more luck with that than I've had.

Thanks very much for the help pal.

But may i have you to clear me another query, which is, what am i supposed to do to hit the delay accurately?

You see, i have no problem entering into the game with exact 14 seconds and the delay i can hit is always 493, but my target delay is 497 and i just cant seem to get it.

Thanks in advance

That is pretty close. Since the delay changes 60x a second, you're not going to be able to hit your delay the first time every time. You could though, increase the year by 4 which will decrease the delay you need by 4.

Thanks for the tips. I will check it out now. (:

EDIT : For me, i don't desire any shiny pokemon, all i want is the nature and the IV spread. So, if i am to use the traditional method, which is keep breeding until i get a pokemon with whatever nature i want by SRing and all, will i still be able to do IV spread on the egg?

im trying to rng a shiny sudowoodo and I finally got the right delay. However this sudowoodo wasnt shiny AND it didnt have the same ivs and nature that the calculator sit out when i was searching for spreads. The method 1 frame box said 38 when I was aiming for a frame of 4, if that matters at all. If it does, how the heck did the frame increase by so much so fast?

if you're talking about HGSS, Sudowoodo is Method K not Method 1, just like all pokes you have to approach (Ho-Oh, Lugia, Snorlax, etc.)

Ok, I am trying to hatch a shiny egg using ShinyFinder. I used it twice no problem - shiny Charmander and shiny Eevee. Now I am trying to get a shiny Baltoy with a delay of 597. So I double-click on the time/delay I want, it open up a list of sister delays for that time/delay, normal as ever. Start my game, go through the process, flip the coin ten times aaaannndd the coin flips I got do not match anything within the sister list.

So I did it again, but this time I expanded the list from 589-609 to 500-700. Did the process, flipped coin ten times, and STILL, I apparently did not hit any delay between 500-700. I double-checked my time, I double-checked my date, I double-checked by ID and SID. Did it 5 more times and made sure I was turning on the same 3 codes every single time (egg hatch, data checker, cloning). Still, NOTHING between 500-700. What could be causing this? I'm supposed to be doing a few BPs, but I can't if this keeps up!

When this happens, I check every single option in Time finder to make sure I entered everything correctly and I also recheck to see if my DS date and time is matching what I have in RNG reporter. And if it still fails, I resave the game and also change the date of my RNG and enter everything into Time Finder anew, so that I'm starting everything from scratch, that way I can catch any mistakes I may have overlooked or, even if I don't spot my mistake, doing it all fresh gets everything in their correctly.

Ok, being the confident (AND VERY SMART) person I am, I didn't do any research at all on RNGing Lugia! I figured, "oh, I'll just hit my delay and then advance the frames with the radio since I heard you can't call Elm from inside Lugia's cave."
Welll, I'm in Lugia's cave, on my seed, and I can't call Elm or use the radio to advance the frames, hahaha. My question is, does walking in and out of the cave advance the frame, and does surfing advance the frame?

If you hit the 128 step mark the frame will advance, but as for walking in and out of the cave, that depends on your game, I guess. I'd just walk out, using the minimum number of steps. Do the advancements like you would normally and go back to Lugia. Hope for the best. You may still get your correct pokemon.

I am having the same problem. I am trying to hatch a shiny Grimer, with a dleay of 794. I'm 100% sure that I inputted everything correctly, with no mistakes. But once I enter the time, which is 2:23:14, I turn it back exactly one minute, input the data on the pikatimer, start them at the same time, but once I enter the game world, I phone Elm, but all 33 of my attempts were fail. The RNG reporter keeps on saying that there were no matches found. Can anyone help me?

NOTE: I am using Pikaitmer on a laptop, and RNG reporter on my Computer. In other words, I am using the programs on different computers.

I'm afraid I only have the same advice as before. Resaving the game with new roamer positions and doing the RNG on a different date and re-inputting everything freshly into RNG Reporter are what I do when I get no results. And I eventually get my results just because I did all that.

I did some quick checking while advancing the frame. I ran in and out of the cave 5 times, but the frame never advanced. Going from that, I advanced the frame normally, to the target frame, then walked in, surfed, and talked to Lugia. It turned out to be the correct one, shiny, Calm, 31/~/30/31/30/31. Thanks for the help.

You've RNGed stuff before! Set up PikaTimer the exact same way every single time, except put 3410 as your wanted delay.

fuckkkk thats gonna take FOREVER! cause the first timer is 57:12 and the second timer is 61:73 and it takes me quite a few tries to hit it too :( but thanks for the clarification

Big delays = boring.
It sucks, but it's worth it. Make sure you set your clock early as well, because PikaTimer probably says to set it a minute or two early.

Experiment with your wanted seconds on Pikatimer until you see the first timer lowered and possibly the second one as well. Then make sure RNG Reporter generates a time with the same wanted second.
