I suggest a bug/electric resist. Ummm...in order or preference there's Gliscor, Steelix and Camerupt lol.
What about salamence? That would do better then all of them, plus starmie resist Ice, and umbreon easily swaps into stone edge and rock slide because of it's relaxed nature and 252 HP EVs.

Not to mention salamence is an uber.

I didn't see a question thread for wifi so I will post it here. I was wondering how to go about battling. I read all the rules, gotta redo my signature as well, but what do I do after that, I get their friend code, then go downstIrs and ???

I'm completely new at the wifi scene, don't know if I'm supposed to contact them while I battle, basically where to begin although I am well informed on how to play and the metagame though.

@Omnipresent

Just go to your Key Items and enter the persons Friend Code in your Pal Pad. Then go downstairs and entire Nintendo Wi-Fi.

Either they or you host the battle, usually people do lv. 100 single battles so that both parties are at the same level and are maxed out.

Also press X to turn off your mic, as most people don't like to have the mic on during a match. That's all. You don't need to communicate with people during the battle, just use visitor messages or personal messages to coordinate things.

How important are the 48 speed evs recommended in Ampharos' "Why Ampharos Don't Have Wool" set ie what are they for exactly?
I have an Ampharos with only 10 speed IVs, which actually completely undoes the boost from the evs.Would it be best to just ignore the speed and dump the rest in HP or something? Or should I give it more speed to compensate?

@ Phadunk: Yes, or at least I do and I think others do for the chained shinies and legends which HGSS doesn't have. I also like it because different Pokemon can be caught.

@ Jesseus: I think it is to outrun Weezing, who sits on 156, so that you can Sub on the Will-o-wisp. whether you should keep this is up to you, based on how your team deals with the aforementioned Weezing. If it likes it dead, the speed might be a good idea.

Oh, just a silly question, but how qualified do you have to be to post a moveset in the C&C?
As long as the moveset works for you and others, you can post it in the Quality Control section. Feel free to attach some logs of it in action also.

OK, so I wasn't trying to SR for a competitive nature/IVs on this Lugia (because I've never done ubers ever), but it seems I've caught myself a Bold 29 / 26 / 31 / 17 / 26 / 27 , standard HP/Atk/Def/Satk/Sdef/Speed. Is this a competitive-worthy Lugia?

I ask because I plan to restart this HG file, and don't want to lose the chance to give a nickname if this Lugia is going to be used in battle by someone - be that someone me, or be that someone else. (God forbid I can't think of anything better than "Lu-Gi-Oh!")

On the roaming legendary pokemon, do their IV's/Nature change every time you encounter them? Or are they set after the first encounter?

The roaming legends IVs are determined the first time you run into them, and don't change unless they are killed and re-encountered after you beat the E4.

What will happen to Shoddy when the Gen V games come out? Considering we don't even have a shoddy with doubles yet, will there be a Shoddy Battle for Pokemon B/W with all the new Pokemon and all the new kinds of battles (Rotation, Triple, etc.)?

@ Airfoil: Your answer brings up another question I have actually. Which roaming pokemon in which games can be killed and re-encountered after the E4?

Platinum:
All the legendary birds, Cresselia, Mesprit,

HG/SS:
all the legendary dogs

IIRC, all the legendary Pokemon from Platinum onward can be KOd and fought again after you beat the E4 or in Heatran/Giratina's case, after a week....I'm not 100% sure, though....

If you KO a legendary dog, it will roam again after you beat the E4, except Suicune who will appear in the Burnt Tower Basement.

Speaking of the roamers, how does repel work again? In order to run into no pokemon except Entei/Raikou, does your front pokemon need to be lv 39 or lv 40 against the lv 40 wild pokemon?

What is a good Mix Mence replacement? I used Mence to break down walls and weaken the opponents team. He also helped me to eliminate Swampert.(Note : I already have Nape on my team).

If you don't want to encounter any Lv. 40 and under Pokemon, your lead position needs to be at level 41.
@Ericcc: Obviously ChronoSquare wants to encounter the roaming legend, so having level 41 won't do.

@ChronoSquare: You will want your front pokemon to be at level 39 or below. Below 39 is fine as long as it is higher than the highest level of pokemon in that area.

Mixnite is the obvious answer. Things like Baittar, mixgross, Trick iron ball gross, etc, can break down certain walls too, depending on what you need. Swampert can be taken down if metagross runs grass knot.

PokeLab (aka ShoddyBattle2) can actually support 6v6 battles, but the only issue is just to update the 3v3 mechanics to support how it is actually in-game. PokeLab will also be able to 'upgrade' to 5th gen fairly easily, or so I hear.

Is Blissey or Cresselia a better choice for a (Sp.) Defensive wall that plays as some what of a staller?

I'd say Blissey since Softboiled is a much more reliable healing option than Cresselia's Moonlight.

EDIT: My bad, I thought you were asking about exclusively special defense walls.

I'd hate to have to disagree with Fate, but I can't stand Blissey because of it's Defense Stat. Bold Cress has that advantage.
