They did, but not like this

He's shown here, but not like the monkeys are. He's just kind of there, along with the other Pokemon shown in the Triple Battle below. No names or anything.

And here's his proper showcase
I'm pretty sure they showed the monkeys again just to reveal that each of the leaders within the gym has their own signature pokemon.

I really Hope that the starter page is fake. I was upset enough when Chimchar evolved to Fire/Fighting. Got over that, but three times in a row is just plain lazy and unoriginal. We want to see some different typings on our starters.

Yooterii – Puppy Pokemon – Normal type – Ability: Pick-up
Basurao – Violent Pokemon – Water type – Abilities: Reckless/Adaptability
Choronero – Ill Natured Pokemon – Dark type – Abilities: Limber/Unburden
Tabunne – Listening Pokemon – Normal type – Abilities: Healing Heart/Regeneration*
Monmen – Cotton Ball Pokemon – Grass type – Abilities: Teasing Heart*/Slip Through*
Churine – Stump Pokemon – Grass type – Abilities: Chlorophyll/Own Tempo
Tamageruke – Mushroom Pokemon – Grass/Poison type – Ability: Effect Spore
Baffuron – Headbutting Cattle Pokemon – Normal type – Abilities: Reckless/Herbivore
Dangoro – Pokemon – Rock type – Ability: Sturdy
Mebukijika – Seasonal Pokemon – Normal/Grass type – Abilities: Herbivore/Chlorophyll [Shikijika evo]
Baoppu – High Temperature Pokemon – Fire type – Ability: Gluttony
Hiyappu – Water Pouring Pokemon – Water type – Ability: Gluttony
Desukan – Casket Pokemon – Ghost type [?!] – Ability: Mummy*
Ononokusu – Chin Horn Pokemon – Dragon type – Abilities: Rivalry/Mold Breaker
Denchura – Electric Spider Pokemon – Bug/Electric type – Abilities: Compoundeyes/Tension*
Doryuuzu – Deep Earth Pokemon – Ground/Steel type – Abilities: Sand Scatter*/Sand Power*
* denotes new ability

I guess Ononononono is related to Kibago. It has Mold Breaker. This is from 2ch but this is "most likely legit".

different first gym leader depending on your starter sounds like it'll level the playing field, but if there's a lot of water/rock/ground types, Tsuutaja will have the easiest opponent, if electric and grass pokemon are more available before the first gym, Pokabu will have an easier opponent. And obviously, if there's fire/ice/poison/flying/bug available before the first gym, then Mijumaru will have the easy road. Bug and Flying are usually the most available pokemon early on, so Mijumaru might have the edge against the first gym for that reason.

Hmmmm, subtle update on Jungle's part.

The scan featuring the starter evolutions is NOT CONFIRMED. The ones featuring the 3 monkeys are REAL.
And when you cross-check the list of supposed Pokemon being revealed this month, the starters aren't on them.

I'm sure one of the official videos had shown the player catching a lv4 Minezumi and then using it at lv7 against a lv8 Shimama, which I'm almost sure was also wild.

So yeah, at least Shimama and Mamepato will be caught early on. The only starter which will have problems against the first Gym, at least as of now, will be Tsutarja, unless they randomly put a Rock or Ground pokémon somewhere (I don't think we'll have any Water-types that early).

Yes but how could it be possible for a faker to know exactly the point when the real scans would be uploaded? Unless the "fake" scan was uploaded by the same person..

I wouldn't say that. DP let you grab the Old Rod fairly early on. And there's always this...uh... "Dangoro – Pokemon – Rock type – Ability: Sturdy" Pokemon

It may have been that someone waited to upload it until someone started posting fake scans? It's basically what happened with that large scan featuring SHijiaka, Basuaru, Mamanbou, Yanappu (before we knew his name) & Swana.

If the Kimumiru evos and centipede pokemon is real. I feel for some reason that they won't be pathetic bug pokemon like the past(Beedrill, Ariados, etc). Like they're level something closer to Scorupi/Drapion requiring more levels to evolve them to their 3rd stage.

Do you see a page number anywhere on that scan, R_N? The monkies and Emonga, plus the other page are 4 and 5. Yet I don't see a number anywhere besides that "15" in the corner.

damn these starter typings.. its probably 100% true.. but seriously.. its not that difficult to give starters different type combos.. definitely since its been fire/grass/water since the beginning.. plenty of time to think.

Blastoise, Feraligatr.

Sceptile, Meganium.

Blaziken, Infernape.

If its true.. i still think Infernape is going to be more of a threat. Fire Pig to UU. Water Otter to be a Feraligatr type of attacker. And Grass shit to be a Sceptile weak attacker.

UU all around.

I am absolutely and utterly disappointed at GF's sheer laziness concerning our starters this generation. I know they haven't been completely confirmed yet, but why the hell would they be dumb enough to give us THREE Fire/Fighting types three generations in a row and keep the other two starters pure Water and pure Grass? I still refuse to believe this mess. At least gen IV had some pretty interesting type combinations for them. But for them to (potentially) do this is just laziness IMO. This is frustrating. Not to mention, the starters are one of my favorite parts of a new pokemon generation.

Hey, at least a vast majority of the Pokemons [other than the starters] typing is going to be interesting and fun to use.

#633 through #635 are a Dark/D#633 through #635 are a Dark/Dragon-type evolution chainragon-type evolution chain

automatic favorite pokemon, whatever it is.

I don't really mind the typing so much because their designs in the Sugimori style look superb. I can live with a pure Water, pure Grass, and Fire/Fighting. I can't wait to see Tsuta3 in Sugi's style.

Haha afro-bull! That's amazing. Shikijika has a really nice evolution, too. Some Pokemon look pretty terrible, though, like the Giga's pre-evolution.
