Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Well I used a Ditto with IV's of 30, 3, 30, 31, 31 and 31. I have all the second parents IV's listed at 2 (Since I don't know its exact IV's).

You really should figure out the 2nd Pokemon's IVs. Just collect your egg take your parents out verify the IVs and turn your game off WITHOUT SAVING.

Then you'll know exactly what will be inherited and if it will produce a desired Hidden Power.

The ditto I gave you has perfect IVs, all 31. You're quoting the stats of the gastly baby you hatched last night. So yes, you can use that ditto to have a baby with HP 70, because that's what you did last night. I believe it was HP Ice. So do the same thing you did last night, use three 31 stats from the ditto and get the remaining three generated by the RNG Reporter. Edit: You can put all 2s in the second pokemon's IV boxes, so long as you don't want a 2 in the baby's IVs. That way RNG Reporter will ignore the second parent and take the remaining three stats from the game.

Okay... I've been going at this guy for two days (HG):

Seed: cf0308f4 (Delay of 2282)
Frame: 53 (No sych)

This is my umpteenth try at this guy and I am having major problems getting the spread for Ho-Oh. I have done 11 RNG abuses (Some including delays of 2500+) not including shinies, so this is nothing new to me.

The problem is the delay. I cannot hit the right delay no matter what.
It is odd delay if I have a cartridge in, odd if it is out.
Also, my roamer results for this one are somewhat strange. I do not get consistent results (And I HAVE abused in HG before) and sometimes I get no roamer results.

Anybody know what is wrong?

If you can't get the delay to be even, change the year. I've had the roamer results not work on certain delays for whatever reason, and I think others have had it happen too. I'd say always double check with Elm/Irwin calls to make sure, because you may be hitting your delay and not know it if you're only checking the roamer routes.

I've had this happen where are target delay doesn't show up and this other delay, not listed/no Elm results, keeps showing up. So I went to catch a wild pokemon and used it in seed finder. Sure enough, it was my target delay, but RNG Reporter had listed something else. This was only on HGSS. Anyhow, if you see one "no Elm result" delay repeating, be suspicious that it is your delay and go catch a wild pokemon to verify. That way, the next time it shows up, you can advance your frames as usual and get your target poke.

does the roamers affect the frame or in some way the rng breeding in platinum or SS??
if it is then just kill them right??
Thx in advance

Yes, they do. They advance the frame depended on where they were when you saved your game. You can RNG with them, just note their locations when you save, then input them into the appropriate boxes in the RNG Reporter. Having them alive makes checking your frame easy. However, if you want a simpler but slower RNG experience, you can faint them.

well i see but i already did the rng an egg i am doing the IVs now but i wonder if that wil affect so now that a started what do i do or just redoit all??

The roamers just move your starting frame up by three or four on HGSS, plus there's an NPC that can move frames if you're not quick getting into the pokegear. Just choose a target frame that's 12 or a bit higher to give yourself a chance to do your Elm calls and locate where you are.

For DPPT, you have to calibrate every time you do egg IVs, so your starting frame changes each time for that anyhow.

What I'm saying, is you don't need to kill off the roamers. The roamers are useful in HGSS for telling you your delay quickly.

Okay. Same Seed. New Problem

I have hit every delay around 2282 but not 2282 itself. This means both the odd and even delays. I have not put a cartridge in or changed the year.

What is the problem now?

if, while calibrating, i get a second of 16, should i put this in pikatimer under the wanted second option?

@ ominous fyre: keep trying, you'll get it. it doesnt sound like you have a problem.

Make sure your seconds are right but i have never heard of hitting both odd and even, only thing i can think of is that your hitting different seconds and not reallizing it. Also dont update pikatimer EVERY time you hit a delay. Only update it if you are like 6+ away but other than that just keep going with out updating it. I think you will get it and it takes a while and ALOT of patience to hit your delay so just keep trying and you will get it! Everyone makes RNGing seem easy but trust me, when your learning, it used to take me around an hour and a half when i first started, now it takes me about 20 mins! I hit my moltres i think it was on the FIRST try! Because i know how much i need to update right off the bat (30) so then im already close, just gotta hit it perfectly. :)

EDIT: @ jordan: i only calibrated once and i got 13 and i always put it so i dont think it matters too much.

No, you put it in the calibrated seconds range. The wanted second range is what your seconds actually is when searching it on RNG Reporter. Sometimes the delay is really high so you want to increase your wanted seconds when you search (this is so that you only set back the DS clock 1minute and not 2minutes).

How does one search for frame 1 spreads for Pokewalker Pokemon? Searching via Method 1 will give you frame 3 (since you add 2 for Wondercard spreads) at the minimum.
Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think RNGReporter currently allows for such to be searched. Actually I asked the exact same question a week or two ago and never got an answer, so I'll try to help you out a bit.

In the RNG Research thread, Romsstar got an excel (csv) file from a Japanese site that contains a bunch of Frame 1 (and 3 and 5) spreads...

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61090&page=10#238

So that should be somewhat useful I hope. Also the Japanese listed "1, 2, 3" instead of "1, 3, 5" for the frame column, just so you know. 1st column is frame, 2nd is year (+2000), 3rd is nature # I think, 4th is... I forgot, the rest should be straightforward, last column is hidden power power.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: O yeah, and yes, I tested (for a few, not all) that those listed seeds and frames do indeed correspond directly to Wondercard spreads in RNGReporter.

Just a few questions.
I want to abuse my id/sid on pokemon hg/ss and i just wanted to know how do i find out what delay i can hit while starting the game.

That depends on the delay of the seed for your chosen SID/ID combo. You put min and max in the range of that delay. Give it a good 1000 either way, more if you get no results the first time.

Dont forget the PID or else all your attempts are pointless. Use wichu's program and just press enter when it asks for your id/sid and look for a desired spread. Then do the pandora's box thing.
