Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I'm new to this whole RNG Abuse thing. I'm trying to follow the tutorial (http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/dpp_rng_part3) and am getting stuck.

I'm using Platinum and am trying to hatch a perfect Ralts for a Gallade (meaning I don't care about Sp. Atk, of course).

I have done the delay calibration and have tried to do the frame calibration. I get confused when I get to step 10. It says to hit generate using the initial seed, but it doesn't say where to find this initial seed. Am I missing something?

If you SR several times (but not an insane number of times... perhaps 20 or so), what's about the reasonably best frame you can expect to see a shiny egg on (nature/gender/ability disregarded)?

you're supposed to get the initial seed by catching a Pokemon, like it syays on step 9, entering its IVs or stats if its level 50 or greater into seed finder on RNG Reporter, then enter the info such as date, time, etc, hit generate and it should give you an initial seed. Don't spend to long trying to catch a Pokemon.

Is it safe to fly? Cause it would make it easier to get to a level 50 pokemon.
 
I'm trying to RNG the roaming latias from the pokemon fan club, but its starting frame is different every time....on my first attempt it advanced the frame by 9, then 10, then 10, and now 8. Is it just luck-based or does something else influence it? (I would guess that it's the bayleef moving around in the room, but that's on a set path so it shouldn't advance any frames right?)
 
Well, I can't get RNG Reporter to give me any seed. I've tried it a few times and done this.

Load game quickly.
Hit B to get out of journal.
Get egg.
Fly to Resort Area.
Go north and catch a pokemon.

And yes, I did check the time. And no, I didn't forget to move the date 2 days ahead.

Any thoughts?
 
If you're getting the egg and catching a pokemon, that means you're trying to find your save frame, correct? This is hard to do without an AR and requires multiple rare candies, but you enter the caught pokemon's IVs into Seed Finder. If you're not using an AR, make sure the pokemon's level is above 50.

The moving NPCs at Vermilion City are the ones that mess up your frame.

Don't bother. Everything that's available on the Pokewalker can be found one way or another somewhere else unless you want an LC SD Munchlax.

They mess it up when you walk outside. I've never had my frame change though, it was the same every time I hit my delay. I just adjusted my advancement based on what that initial frame was.

Ah, that. I completely forgot about the Surfing Pikachu. But there was no need to get upset about it :/
 
Don't let negativity get to you, if you wish to do it, then you can and will succeed with hard work :) The first step of RNG is always the hardest, after that, it does become easier.

In any case, if no one here knows, try getting on IRC and asking someone on there. There's many more helpful people on there as well :)

Also, congratulations on the Heatran ^^

Well..... I've waiting for a response from you on your thread for two days and after I made a post on your thread two days ago, you didn't even reply back. I do want to try to get the pikachu from you but I thought you were just ignoring me since I've been seeing you had plenty enough time to post new updates on your thread. :/
