I vaguely remember seeing it, but it seems to have disappeared ...

Any reason why? Because I saw this postyesterday and was certain it shouldn't be allowed, but one day later nothing has happened. It makes me think the moderators of that forum simply haven't seen the post ...

If no report this post button, why not have a report forum?
 
I asked DM about this a while ago on IRC, he said Smogon was just too big and that they got swamped with reports while the system was still active.

If the report system generates too many reports, then why not have a report forum? Because the post is still there, and I don't get what the heck is going on. Is it intentional the post is left there!?
 
If a specific post bothers you so much PM a moderator about it instead of hoping it gets noticed, because more often than not...it's still there because it's not breaking a rule. There's no need for a tattling forum, there's way too much bull that would go on. I do agree that it sucks that certain forums aren't actively moderated, but frankly we do not need a ton of minimodding going on.

The moderators are more than capable of taking down bad posts, something like this isn't necessary.

It's got nothing to do with it being a long post and everything to do with it being a thinly-veiled insult / parody, especially coming from someone who clearly does not think he is a n00b. The over-the-top praise is a dead giveaway considering how the original poster implied quite clearly that his team is somehow flawed because it can't reach the leaderboard. Read the post closely.

Also if it comes down to proving the post is an insult, I do think a "reports" forum is rather more appropriate to do that in than a suggestions forum.
 
There is not going to be a report button. If something is extremely out of line PM a moderator of the posts forum.
