Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Hi i was really off from a lot of trial and error from breeding in DP by using the old methods on youtube for rng abusing the ivs. I just saw the pikatimer, would like to try it out for rng on hg/ss on moltres and the rest of the dogs. I already caught latios but i want to rng the entei and raikou, so do i need to knock them both out then challenge E4 before i begin to rng on them and whatnot?

Each frame has an encounter slot that tells you what pokemon you will find on that frame. Right click each frame that has your target IV spread and select "calculate encounter slots." Based on what route/cave/area you are in, those numbers you see correspond to a particular pokemon. Click the links at the bottom to view the encounter slots for whatever game you are using (scroll to the appropriate area), and see which slots have steelix. Then just go through those frames and find one that has the correct slot in the sweet scent grass/caves spot.

Explain to me about this part that Riddlinkid was talking.

About the frame with encounter slots to find the pokemon that I was looking for. I mean understood the dircetions that he has given but I don't understand about the numbers and going through the frames to find the correct slot. =/

I mean for what I found all I know is that Onix and steelix are listed under Route 47 Dark Cave on this link:

I've been RNG abusing Jirachi since Saturday in SoulSilver. I'm trying to get a Timid Jira with 31/26/31/30/30/31 (Hidden Power Ground 70). I've got EVERY other nature except Timid and Gentle (I guess I'll get that before Timid..). On Saturday I got something like 10 to 15 Jirachis with the correct IV's but none of them was Timid. Here are the natures I've got today and yesterday (these are the ones that I hit for the right delay and have correct IV's):

Careful, Naive, Brave, Calm, Careful, Impish, Quiet, Impish, Adamant, Adamant, Rash, Naive, Quiet, Hasty, Impish, Mild, Hasty, Lax, Modest, Mild, Modest, Adamant, Bashful, Hardy, Brave, Quiet, Lax, Jolly, Calm, Docile, Lax, Hasty, Lax, Adamant, Hardy, Mild.

This shit is beginning to really piss me off. It's just fucking retard, not a single Timid Jirachi!

You can't do anything to increase the odds of getting it of the nature you want. I hit seed and frame over 60 times to get a Timid Darkrai, and in the end I kept a Hasty one, this was getting way too insane.

Ummm...... I'm trying to rng abuse a rayquaza. I'm trying to rng abuse a Steelix/onix from the cave in Route 47.

Well then I wish you luck! I wanted to RNG abuse Rayquaza (both natures) so I can have experience RNGing on my own and have my names as their OT, that way it doesn't discourage everyone who is avoiding fully redistributable Pokes.

The same will go for every other legendary in my SS game, and I'll only get Modest/Timid natures for the ones that specialize in Special Attack or Speed. After that, I'll focus on Jolly and Adamant natures. :)

Yeah, me too. And I wish you the best of luck as well. ^^

Thanks, I appreciate it. My goal isn't to really focus on the egg hatching RNG abuse (that will come later), instead I want to RNG abuse the legendaries in my game, and try to get good natures and IVs. This way, I'll have a legend of every good nature type, and people can pick and choose what suites them out of personal choice. Once this is done, I'll start ID/SID abusing a bit and try to get shinies with certain natures as well (but that's a long way off from now).

Speaking of which, anyone know how I would go about trying to RNG abuse the gift Mew that released recently? I know you can't use Synchs so that's out of the question, but I'm curious if I can RNG as normal and hope for a good nature, or if there's a certain method to RNGing a gift Poke.

You're welcome and that's precisely what I'm doing.

Use the spreads lister here: http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/dpp_rng_part5

Also select "Wondercard IV's" as the method in RNG Reporter and naturally kill all the roamers before trying this (they will be resurrected when you beat Elite 4). It's best to RNG any Wondercard Pokemon (just like this Mew) in Cerulean City's Pokemart since there are no wandering NPC's there. It's just very, very frustrating that the nature is random for Wondercard Pokemon.

Question about radio frame advancing. I am wanting to learn it as hitting high frames with Elm takes forever!!!!

When I go to the radio, the top right one, all I get is bits and pieces of what they're saying, is that how it's supposed to be?

I've downloaded the program for checking the radio, but don't quite fully understand it. If anyone can help me with learning this, or telling me anything about using the radio for advancement it'll be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Also, I would like to know, say I am aiming for a frame of 103. Actual frame of 114. And I capture a Pokemon at actual frame 89, will that make me at frame 89, than all I'd have to do is advance the frame 12 more times to be able to sweet scent?

Edit2: @-Lux- Yes, it pretty much is, except that encounter slots can make you have to find a completely different seed.

Thank you Miku, for some reason I was limiting myself to "How to capture perfect Pokemon", rather than the Wondercard Pokes.

Is wild Capture like Legend capture only the encouter slot decides what you find?

Well.... I'm not absolutely sure. But after I managed to rng capture the onix after everything I've done so far, I'm guessing both wild capture and legend capture are similar. But from what I've learned about encounter slots when you're trying rng capture a wild pokemon, I'm guessing the only difference is that finding the wild pokemon that you're looking for depends on which spot you're standing on when you're trying to rng capture a pokemon that you're looking for in the wild.

And yes, I did managed to rng capture a wild onix in the wild. :D

What spread would anyone suggest as far as RNGing the gift Mew? I'm aiming for odd frames, so the following would work:

(6E0F029A) (141)
31/31/31/6/31/31 Physical

(690302C3) (43)
31/13/31/31/31/31 Special

(2A0C029F) (513)
31/30/30/31/31/31 Mixed Hidden Power Ice 70

(3B090283) (5)
31/11/31/31/31/30 Hidden Power Ice 70

(5407027B) (183)
31/14/31/30/31/30 Hidden Power Fire 70

(4C020286) (7)
31/18/30/31/30/30 Hidden Power Rock 70

(1A0102AD) (205)
31/10/31/30/30/31 Hidden Power Ground 70

I've just never actually used Mew before because I haven't had access to one until now, so I don't know what spread I want to RNG. Any suggestions?

Downloaded PikaTimer, but I can't run the fucking program because it's a .jar file and I have no idea how to run this application. How do you use this thing?

Ok Diabolico, if you are trying to catch a Steelix in HG, it is found wild in two areas: Mt. Silver or Cliff Cave (Rt 47 cave). What you need to do is first choose a seed that has the IV spread you want. When you have that seed, generate all of the possible frames under method k that have that IV spread (select the appropriate IVs, synch nature, and nature). Now, choose the location you want to capture your Steelix. I would recommend Mt. Silver. Now if we scroll down the HG encounter slots to where it says Mt. Silver, you will see Steelix in slot 1 for morning, day, and night (any time of day). This means we need to find a frame that has encounter slot 1 for sweet scent in grass/caves. You will need to go through your frames you generated in RNG Reporter, right clicking and viewing encounter slots, until you find one that has slot 1. This will then be your target frame, and if you hit it correctly you will encounter a Steelix with that IV spread.

Edit: Oh, I guess you caught an Onix. You probably got lucky with your frame, but at least now you will know what to do in the future.

lol. Yup. I figured it out. Thanks for helping. :D

EDIT: I think maybe I should call you Rid sensei. xD

I will RNG alot of mew about 8.

But I can help you narrow it down.

You will want to rng a mew that either +spd mix nature or a modest or timid mew. [or a mix +spatk]

Or if you want to think outside the box like me
A adamant or jolly mew can be an ok idea

Why?
You dont want to rng for hidden power since mew can learn all moves.
You want a +spd nature to outspeed most pokemon, but a +spatk can but alot of pain on most pkmn

If it displaying sentences that are missing something
Example: "G..d M.rn..g Ka.to"

Then something wrong either:
A. The radio somehow is getting detune
B. Your in a place where the radio have bad signal
C. IDK

To advance with the upper right station
You need to remember that each tap with detune will advance the rng no more than 18.

The lower right station
Each tap and detune will advance you frame consistently by 1

The left Side of the station look at OmegaDount post.

So example I looking to hit frame 1474

I will do the typical 9 elm/juggular calls to verify my frame (I will go ahead and subtract my monster frame 1)
I will need to advance the frame 1464 times

You also need to keep in mind that you will want to not advance you frame at least within 10 of your target frame as you will need to verify your frame

18*80 = 1440

1464-1440 = 24

I will right click frame 1 (any frame should work) and select "search elm response"
Call elm 10 time and record it in the response

keep in mind since you just called elm/juggler you need to advance the 13-15 more times, you will either just call elm or advance the frame using the lower-right station as long as it not on Buena Password as it dont advance the frame

And the you will just advance the frame until you have done the correct number of advancement for your monster can land on your target frame

*Note
In the beginning I said subtract 10 instead of 9 because of the monster frame. When searching for elm response to see what frame your on, you will be below by the amount of your monster frame, since the rngreporter have no way to know that you have already added your monster frame to the advancement

To your other question Im not sure of the answer

@Ragner
Welcome but since mew have flawless base stat 100, it can be something
