Hope this isn't stupid:
anyone knows an EV checking action replay DS code for DPPt??

So far I've been checking google and all they come up with were HGSS codes on ev checks or else it's someone who mistook IV checks for EV checks and stuff like that.

Thanks!

I'm planing restart LG, I'm looking for decent or move sets that will be unexpected at due to being so close to 5th gen, that use the Move tutors or anything that is hard to obtain in later games. Execpt for Feebas/Milotic and most one offs I've got Access almost every "Family" in 3rd Gen.

Also, I own a Level 10 UnTouched "Aura" Mew in the 3rd Gen. I once had 5 and I decided I'd use one for battles, I've not done it yet, but now is that time.

These are the stats and Iv's I can find out at this time, using Legendary Pokémon IV Calc:

#151 Mew [Naive]
IVs: 20 - 29 / 20 - 29 / 10 - 19 / 20 - 29 / 20 - 29 / 10 - 19
Stats at Lv.10: 42|0 / 27|0 / 26|0 / 27|0 / 24|0 / 28|0

I am aware that Mew is a low down in in the Uber tier, and can rank poorly against other Legendaries. But It's main "niche" is that It can know almost every move, which makes it unpredictable.

I'm planning to restart Leaf Green soon as I clear out All the things I can take off the cart.

I usually don't use TMs at all, and since I've not used any Move tutors, yet. I also have XD in post game, with no Move Tutors used, two Emeralds with most Move tutor not used. If there a choice, Mew takes first choice, then I have to use other games or the restarted LG.

As with 3rd Gen, I've not used any 4th gen TM and Move Tutors.

I am also considering taking this Mew to 5th Generation after April. However I know the tiers aren't fully formed yet.

I'm actually from another Pokémon site (same name, same Trainer and Lucario, different user bar) and I've now come here after realising I'm out my league.

@ Vortex: You can't ask for codes in this thread. Read the OP. Just Google them.

@ Big Nutter: So you're looking for moves for Mew which are hard/impossible to obtain after 3rd gen, but easy move tutors in LG. I don't think there are many of these, but take a look at the Mew thread in the Ubers subforum, where they have many movesets, and maybe then just get as many tutor moves of any worth as possible.

I recently got a Timid Darkrai off of the GTS and when I checked its EVs (with the EV berries), it had 252 HP, 252 Attack, 252 Sp. Attack, and 252 Speed. I reset the HP and Attack EVs, but I left the Sp. Attack and Speed EVs on to save myself the bother of EV training. However, when I got on wifi, its Sp. Attack and Speed stats were (if I remember correctly) 312 and 338 respectively, which are obviously nowhere near max, and would not even be explained by IVs of 0.

So I reset the EVs of both stats, put 252 more EVs in each, but when I leveled it up, the Speed stat went up a lot, but the Sp. Attack barely went up at all. The final stats at Lv. 100 on wifi were (again if I remember correctly) 291 Sp. Attack and 363 Speed. For my EV training I had the Power Lens on and had Pokerus, and fought 25 Ghastlys plus 1 more without the Power lens for a grand total of 252. Does anyone have any ideas about what might have happened? Thanks in advance for reading this long-ass post and for any help I can get!

I'm confused. You can only have a total of 510 EVs. How could you possibly have 252 in 4 stats? Chances are, the SpA stat didn't go up because all the EVs were already used. Once you were done with speed, you couldn't get anymore.

Action Replay allows you to get more than 510 EVs.

Firstly, you can not check exactly how many EVs something has with just EV reducing berries, so they probably did not actually have 252 in all four stats, which would explain the low stats. As for the low Special Attack stat, it is given by an IV of 16, but with no Sp. Att. EVs, which means that some of he information is wrong. Can you check the stat again, or maybe check using your berries that it does have EVs there?

I'm playing Platinum, and I want to raise an Ambipom. Obviously, I want one with Technician instead of Pickup. However, since Ambipom isn't found in the wild, I'll have to either catch or breed Aipom. Is it possible to determine what ability the Aipom will have after its evolution without actually evolving it?

Simple. One ability stays the same, the other changes, Aipom has Run Away & Pickup, while Ambipom has Pickup & Technician. So you need an Aipom with Run Away to get a Technician Ambipom.

Ah, okay. I had a feeling it worked that way, but I didn't want to assume. Thanks!

EDIT: Grr...I just realized Aipom only gets Fake Out as an egg move. I guess catching one isn't an option; I have to breed it.

More or less, this.. I've got almost every main series game to date. So I've also got Emerald and XD, but they're not going to reset by Feb. Being in Europe.. I'm also considering working a Channel Jirachi as soon I complete Ruby. (Probably next week, I'm not even sure if I've got a save.)

So What Area does a Slightly faster Mew with weaker Defences be in?

PS I found out it's HP:Electric, by using HP on a Kecklen but doesn't changes the IV ranges. (I didn't save, so still UT!)

I'm not really going to be playing Comp that much. I don't play many online battles or Tower/Frontier. The most likely thing I'd be doing, I'll be going for the HMV Pokécharms Events. Either that or a Random Match at a Event, Where'll be up against anyone.

I remember the Event I got Mew, they had PBR was running, one person had a 2 on 2 with 5 Lv 10 UT Mew (Pound, Transform), Vs a Giratina & Charizard both with Fly!.. Man, that battle was boring fast!

I'm looking at Serebii, and apparently there are no moves Mew can only learn in 3rd gen, which means that there would be no problem in just transferring it. However, one of the tried and true sets is Baton passing, which would still work, or maybe a sweeper set. Really, Mew can do anything, regardless of IVs.

The reason I know it had max EVs in all of those stats is because each one took 11 berries before they no longer had an effect, which is the max. I checked again and both stats are correct.

That just means that they had more than 100 EVs each. The first berry always takes it down to 100 if it is above that, regardless of how high it is, so you can 't know exactly.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. But either way, I still reset all of its EVs and only got a minimal gain of Sp. Attack, and there isn't really a good explanation.

I'm back with another question!

When RNGing for shinies, will hard resetting to on action replay codes like fast egg hatch and iv checks render the RNG useless? (Currently I don't dare to do that coz I don't wanna waste my efforts on clicking the poketch >.<)

thanks!

edit: I found the answer myself - hard resetting doesn't affect the RNG process! Phew..

Alright, so I am trying to deduce my secret ID and I have a problem: I used the Shiny Gyarados in the Lake or Rage as my Pokemon, and both RNG reporter and X's application both tell me there is no ID for that Pokemon, impossible. What should I do? Are these applications outdated compared to HG SS?

Is there any way to sav in HG/SS?

Yes. Google Pokesav, and you will find a HGSS edition of it to use.

Make sure that you are using the chained shinies to SID section, because the PID is calculated like chained shinies in PLA.

I spotted a few, but most I've seen replacements in 4th Gen.

Baton Passing? Possibly.. Sweeping? Mew can go physical or Special. May be I should Find which IVs better, Attack or SP attack.?

OK, I need to find someone to "support" this cutie. Baton Passing only really works if you've got someone to pass to. Then I can work out what to Baton pass.

I've taken my "Party" Pokémon and (an few UT Legendaries) in to PBR. I've usually got a good idea how I'm going to play a Poké based on it's Move set, which doesn't always help with "that" Colosseum, when it's your UT legendary facing you with a team of NFEs.
