Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

LMFAO! I switched up my ID! OMG! Wow.... I seem to be rushing and no checking over my typo's. Oh man... ever since I started RNGing.. I've been feeling more stupid and confused. I gotta take my time. Well, I'm going back to RNG eggs, hopefully I get something.

3 questions:

1) Where is the best Pokemart to RNG abuse Wondercards in DPPt?

2) Are there any 31/30/31/30/31/30 HP Fire ODD frames? The only ones I could find were even-numbered frames, which are pretty difficult to hit...

3) If not, how do I hit even-numbered frames? Or more specifically how long should I wait before talking to Mystery Gift guy to get the even frame?

1) Floarama Town or whatever is called, there's 1 moving NPC there only

2) Use the PokeRNG to find another descent HP Fire spread you can use one that has odd frames

3) You can do that, but the problem is that it sometimes it will advance the frame by more than 1 frame :/ so you can't actually depend on those

What Rock Smash pokémon what?, I don't know about that but about Sinnoh/Hoenn Sounds it's the same thing just that you have to look for the correct day that matches the sound when selecting it in the Seed to Time function :)

In HGSS sometimes, when you use Rock Smash a pokemon appears. i want to try and catch a Shuckle but the only way is through Rock Smash or Safari Zone.

Question:

How do you know how many frames Sweet Scent advances? When I did my first capture (Diglett's Cave) it advanced by 1 but my second (Rock Tunnel) and third (Route 3 grass) it advanced by 2.

Im not sure Bakus told me it varies but for me it advances by 2 and haven't had any trouble with catching anything. If it keeps advancing by 1 then advance your frame 1 before the target frame.

Can you RNG Rock Smash pokemon or pokemon that require Sinnoh/Hoenn Sound in HGSS? Is it different from catching pokemon?

Yep. Well, it's not been tested much, but it can be done. Use PokéRNG to search for Rock Smash encounter slots. Rock Smash is frame 4.

Through a bit of testing, I found that the chance of getting a Pokémon is 1/5; PokéRNG's results reflect this. If the frame doesn't have a Rock Smash slot, it won't result in a Pokémon (if it does, tell me the seed/frame, and I'll investigate). Conversely, also let me know if you don't get a Pokémon when it tells you you should.

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with the RNG Reporter. Hopefully you can help me out, because I'm completely stumped. First off, I'd like to say I've successfully used this version of the program before. This change only happened recently. Here's the scene. I get my time from the Time Finder in the Egg's IV tab. I put in all my info, generate the results, and get my seed. I then take that seed and put it into the Seed to Time, again selecting everything I need to and generating the results. I load up the Pikatimer with my calibrated information and needed delay, and I get to work. Now here's the weird part. When I start calling Elm to find my seed, the responses start on the THIRD listed response! So, if it's supposed to be...

KPKEEPK

It instead starts as...

KEEPK

I have absolutely no idea why this happens. I've tried picking different seeds, but they all have the same results. Any idea's?

That's because the NPCs around the area make you start on frame 3. It's perfectly normal and doesn't affect you in any way other than starting on frame 3. If your target frame is 7 you only need to make 4 calls because the first 2 are already skipped. If your frame is 9, you make 6, etc.

Hmm... Well, that's a possibility, but I when I boot up the game, I get into the Pokegear immediately. And, this happens consistently. Like, I've tried 20+ times and it always starts in the third response. I can see the NPC messing me up on occasion, but not so many times in a row.

Do you have Entei, Raikou, or one of the Latis roaming? Or a mix of the 3?

As they advance the frame when you load the game.

I don't have any roamers and I've always opened the pokegear quickly and still sometimes start on frame 3. I don't really think it matters.

Uhm. Yeah it does.
Roamers have always advanced the frame by certain amounts depending on who is out. Hence why there is the option to list roamers in the Seed to Time window, and on the main page of RNG reporter. They advance the frame when roaming.

Well, I dunno what you're doing wrong than.
As you should always start on frame 1. Unless if you have a roamer out or an NPC advances.

Nope, all the roamers have been dealt with.

Than you might have an NPC advancing the frame.
Just don't worry about the advancements until Iv abuse, and just abuse normally.

Well, new development. I did continue with the frame progression on the third response, like you recommended, and when I hatched the egg, the IV's didnt match... But, when I gnerated the results outside of the Seed to Time, just in the main menu of the program with the HGSS breeding option, the IV's in the target frame didnt match the IV's given to me in the Egg IV's menu. x.x So, why is the Time Finder lying to me? :|

I know, what I'm telling you is that it's possible to start on frame 3 even if you have no roamers and open pokegear quickly.

@winter: You're seeing it right now with Subliminal and I'm telling you from my experience..

Were you on a bike in Diglett's Cave?

Good question, I don't remember lol. I know that the other two times I wasn't though. Does being on a bike affect that?

When RNGing Egg IVs in HGSS It's possible to start on frame 3, this is because of NPC frame advancement, and it doesn't matter how fast you open the Pokégear.
