Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

You're seeing it right now with Subliminal and I'm telling you from my experience..

Technically, that's not me seeing it. As I've never seen it physically.
You telling me is different.

But to answer the question, I have no explanation for why the frames skipped. Other than roamers or NPCs.

Hi i am total noob to this and i tried to read some of the guides even talked with Wichu, i am trying to get a Latias with 31 IVs Timid , i did find the seed for it: D2140289 and used the Seed in RNGreporter and then tried to use "Seed to times" and got a date/time for that Frame delay (638) but i dont know what do next, did i forget some data in RNg report? what does second next to Year in "Seed to times" mean? also most important is it possible to do this on R4 card (flashcart) but how without soft reset.

guess i need completely noob guide ;(

Well, the next step is to put all the data you got into a timer. You can download either PikaTimer or ZomgTimer. I still use PikaTimer though. In the timer, there are 4 boxes in which you can put some numbers. It'll be in this order:

Calibrated Delay - Wanted Delay - Calibrated Second - Wanted Second

Standard Calibrated Delay and Second is 480 delay and 14 second. When you click on 'Create Timer', it'll make 2 timers, and it'll tell you at what time you need to set your DS when you start the first timer.

And since you are on a Flash Cart, set the time, hit Ok and start the timer at the same time. Then start your game, and when the first timer runs out, you just SR. Then wait until the second timer runs out. When it reaches 0, you press 'Continue' at the same time.

Then you go to your Pokégear as fast as you can, to make sure the NPC's are not moving. Call Elm, and use the 'Search Elm' button in the 'Seed to Time' section. Enter the first 9 answers in that window that pops up, and that'll tell you at which delay you landed. Make sure, when you get a time, you put +/-99 delay and +/-1 second. That'll give you a greater range, which is necessary when you are RNG abusing on a Flash Cart

I like ZomgTimer because I spent a day and a half looking for PikaTimer and couldn't download it anywhere. :p

Of course, many successful timings leave me with no desire for another program.

I always RNG with three roamers out, and occasionally I'll start at frame 4, 5, or 6. I thought this was due to the inconsistent nature of roamers advancing frames by either 1 or 2, as detailed in the (HGSS) OP. You guys are saying that even with no roamers, you can start at a frame other than 1?

Anyway, my main question: I'm about to RNG Enigma Stone Latias. I remember reading people complaining about this, saying they get thrown off a lot, etc, but all I see is a standard legendary capture with some NPCs buggering up the works. Is there something special to this, or are her IVs determined at a time other than when you approach her?

Also, I've been using the same six-way max Timid spread for a bunch of legendaries and they're all Often Dozes Off. Slackers.

It's the same. It's just a ton of NPCs buggering things up. The frames advance a bit unpredictably. So it takes a while.

ok i did found out how to SR on my r4 ( L , R , start , select) it will move me back to the start of the game.

so basically after u got all data in the timer ,

1. u start the first timer exactly the same time as your DS date/time

2.then turn off your ds, then turn on again , wait until it reach zero on the first timer

3.then enter the game and then press continue then soft reset?

4.then wait for the second timer to reach zero press A on continue?

correct me if i am wrong ;)

also forgot to mention my game loads so slow on this card, takes about 10.8 sec to load from the time u press A to start the game and until the game starts (black screen then gamefreak, nintendo etc)

ohh and 1 more thing. atm i am standing just at the exit in the fan club, with E , R roaming johto , it is possible to check their location to determine if i got the right frame (Delay)?

i did save the location of them before i saved my game in case i would need it.

kk i tried again to get the delay, if it works to look at the location of roamers in johto (R and E) i found myself on delay 647 and my target was 638

You need to hit even by inserting a 3rd gen game into the GBA slot or by scrolling all the way down and back up on the continue screen.

I think if you add a year to your date it also makes you hit even.. Someone needs to confirm this though.

ok my situation seems to be rather odd. Yesterday I was RNG'ing for Celebi and hitting 14 seconds and between 483-497 delay. All well and good as I calibrated at 14 seconds at 493 delay. Now during this time I dropped my DS on the wooden floor, which at the time didn't seem to be an issue. After many stupid natures and missed seeds I called it a night.

Now tonight I decided to continue where I left off and I'm getting some very odd results. Firstly I'm using HG, my seed is C20301FE which has a delay of 499. The target time is 3:57:59, so I was resetting at 3:57:45, now here is the interesting part. I keep getting weird times when I do Roamer/Elm verification. At first it was off by 1 second, so I chose 3:58:58 and still reset at 3:58:45. I was still off by 1 second. I know I'm not humanly capable of hitting a 12 second mark. And for awhile I was getting odd returns of 9-11 seconds.

Just to make sure that I wasn't going crazy and just speeding through the opening scene I used Zomgtimer with the appropriate seconds and got about 2 seconds too early.

I'm thinking that perhaps I messed up the DS clock or in game time/synch when I dropped the DS, but I synched with an outside clock and it stayed in synch for 5 mins with both turning it on and off. Is it possible the game isn't picking up the DS clock?

What else could be causing such odd seconds? Should I try with an outside clock besides the timer and see if I come up with appropriate target second?

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

It's on HGSS, so it's a non-issue, track your frames on the main RNGReporter screen. Why don't people ever do this? (when possible of course).

Because it takes brain power? =P Just kidding.

I suppose people are so eager for their 1st RNG, or they don't really understand what seed, delays and frames are, or they don't really know how to use RNGrepoter's functions to the fullest, or a combination of that. Plus, when something doesn't go the way it was supposed too, people tend to get frustrated and ansiouns and sometimes they don't really read the help replys as carefully as they should.

Is it possible to RNG the Event Celebi (the one with Nasty Plot)? I'm going to receive it from a store, so i'm not sure whether i can RNG it or not...

Okay I just got a pretty simple question that I can't answer!! xD
Lets say I abused my ID/SID but I don't want to pass the whole annoying game and I use the code to pass through walls to skip everything so I can get to the legends I want. ^^
Would the Legends be considered as hacks because of me skipping most of the game?

People using ROMS do that. So I guess they will not be "Hacks". Just do not use any code on the pokemon itself.

They will be legit, as walking through walls/skipping through the game, does not affect the coding put into the Pokemon.

I'm having trouble with RNG for a shiny Rayquaza in Soul Silver.

I got shiny Groudon no problem.

I have been able to hit the seed, verified by roamers and elm calls. I advance to the proper frame and get into battle with Rayquaza and use a masterball. It is neither shiny nor the correct nature, and it's nothing even close to it.

I'm trying to calibrate in Platinum but whenever I try to find my seconds and delay I get the message "No reasonable initial seed found." This has happened every time I try to calibrate. No Pokemon are roaming.

okay now I need help on RNGing roamers.
I have no idea about in which frame entei, raikou and latios are... ^^
Also if I want to RNG Raikou by using the E4 method, do I need entei and latios alive? and to RNG Entei do I need Raikou and Latios alive?

*sigh*
They really need to get rid of that stuff that tells you to do it that way.
For platinum, just find a seed and try to hit it with calibrated delay = 600 and calibrated second = 14.
Use your coin flips to figure out what you hit, you should be close, +/-50 delay, just to be safe.

Update the timer with what you hit. You'll be hitting consistently in no time and it's far easier than that button-mashing-catch-a-poke-check-IVs-hope-you-find-a-match method.

Wondering if anyone can help.

I mastered shiny RNGing in 4th gen a while back, and am now hoping to master RNGing for flawless bred pokemon. I understand the general theory of the whole thing, but having some trouble with the practice; particularly in that during calibration, my delay values are coming out consistent enough when using Seed Finder in RNG reporter, but my seconds values are all over the place - any ideas why, or ways I can get around the problem?

Also having trouble getting EonTimer, as Norton identifies it as a threat everytime I try to download it...are there any equally good timers, or can someone tell me how to get around this issue - I'm sure it's very simple to rectify, but hey...I'm stupid ^^.

Have a shiny adamant Growlithe egg with flawless IV parents sitting waiting for collection at the day-care, that I would really like to hatch flawless, so would really appreciate any advice!
