I like their old stuff, but Hate Crew Deathroll isn't the best, and after that they went to shit (aside from the odd song).
another mainstream metal band gone bad. before mainstream, they were awesome, it was like alexi was playing to really say "HEY GUYS I'M REALLY GOOD AT PLAYING GUITAR LOL".
now, he's like "I CAN PLAY GUITAR BETTER THAN YOU LOOOOOL"

cheesy riffs as fuck, but the vocals and lyrics are just awesome.
early Bodom was boring with the exception of Follow the Reaper, which had some tasteful solos and riffs and the keyboards weren't ALWAYS getting in the way and being annoyingly cheesy, but i think their later stuff ranges from just average to fucking awful

not such a big fan of the Swedish scene but i'm not sure if i'd call it the "best Swedish death metal album", but it's definitely great
i still think Van Drunen era Asphyx > Pestilence.
i mean Consuming Impulse is great and shit i just prefer my death metal either thrashier or doomier or something like that, you know
