Wait until Winter (April, August, December), there will be a pile of snow which you use to get up there
But… the Pokemon I want to EV train against are kind of gone for the winter! D:

Well, if there anywhere I can go to train for things just attack? Like, nothing else in the area. Training Landorus in attack and speed.
And yes I know there is a thread for this, but it told me to go there in the not-winter season so…

Alright so after a lot of thought, I have decided to become a breeder this generation. Just a few simple questions about breeding. For those of you that breed, do you really find it much more rewarding when that pokemon is lvl 100 and battling on your team? I feel like I am missing out on a huge segment of the game when i would previously pokesav my teams.
I definitely do, it takes a lot of pride to see something you planned and bred for perform just as expected on your team, also it is comforting to know you now have easy access to breeding another max IV pokemon once you've succeeded in your project because now it can be used as a parent.

It's also a very pleasant surprise when the pokemon you're breeding for is rated by the IV Judge as "outstanding" or when it turns out to have Quadruple max IVs.

Another thing for current breeders, does it annoy you to spend hours breeding your pokemon just to battle someone online that prolly obviously pokesav'd their team 30 min before they logged on?

If there is a better place for me to ask this question, then send me there. Thank you.

It does annoy me a bit yes, I find it rewarding working for hours getting a pokemon even with it's little imperfections while they just input some code to get the pokemon they want.

But when I still whip their asses it's just as well.

Who can find the 6th Pokémon for my competitive team?

Hello, I was just wondering who should I use as my 6th Pokemon?
My team is
Lead: Mienshao
Accelegor
sweepers: Hydreigon Starmie Darmanitan
Thanks

I guess you could go up there in Winter, save, and then wait for Spring? (Maybe changing the DS calender to speed up the passage of time.)

I'm working on making a competitive team but need so help.
First I want to say, I want to only use pokemon that can be caught in Black (or White since my friend has white).

My team right now is:
Hydreigon
Ferrothorn
Jellicent
Volcarona
Chandelure
Conkeldurr

Does my team have good synergy? good type coverage?
or is it just random OU's thrown together into a smish smosh?

well, you'll want a poke that can take hits and support your team. Cresselia or Porygon2 with Eviolite might be good choices.

^ Depends on if you can trade. If you can't, stick with Scraggy, if you can, I'd probably go with Scraggy as well, but then it's more up to personal preference

What is a good poke to pass an Agility and a Sub to a Rampardos?

and a Nasty Plot to an Accelgor?

Can we start talking about tiers now in the threads?? Seeing as how we have an ubers metagame now, we can just assume that everything else will either be OU, UU/BL, or NU right??

How does the Sheer Force ability work? If my pokemon knows a move like hammer arm or super power that lowers it's own stats as a secondary effect are those secondary effects removed and the power of those moves increased? Basically I get a boosted hammer arm/super power without the stat loss?

No, it only removes those who have chance of an effect to happen. Superpower's effect is 100% whilst Ice Beam's is 10% thus getting a boost. Flare Blitz also gets a boost. It still has the recoil but the 10% burn rate is removed.

I would say Mew is pretty good. I'm not that familiar with Gen 5 yet though, but Mew must be a solid choice this gen too.

Hey, I read that I'm supposed to fight Cheren in Victory Road. However, I passed the area where I'm supposed to face him but I didn't even see or face him at all.I'm now at the Pokemon League. I didn't use Strength to move anything if that helps. Do I have to do something specific to get him to appear?

SuperJOCKE:

The way you explained it, however, the additional effects of DynamicPunch and Icy Wind would still occur. SuperPower's Attack reduction is not considered an additional effect, whereas those of DynamicPunch and Icy Wind are, even though their additional effect chance is 100.

My description for Sheer Force reads, in part:

No additional effects of attacks by the bearer can occur.

My description for Superpower reads:

Decreases user's Attack and Defense by 1 stage if this attack is successful.

DynamicPunch:

May confuse opponent.

Icy Wind:

May decrease opponent's Speed by 1 stage.

(In my attack list, phrases with the word "may" indicate additional effects.)

If you're on about rebattles post E4, I don't think he's there every day. I also don't know if you have to beat the E4 again (to get in the Hall of Fame.)

"Confirmed Stench gives the Pokemon's damaging attacks a chance to flinch, even ones with an existing side effect. Does not stack with King's Rock. Each hit of a multi-hit move has it's own flinch rate with Stench. The flinch rate seems to be approximately 8-10%."

^I have a question pertaining to this ^

Using Muk as an example, with Stench and Kings Rock, the effect doesn't stack. Is Stench/Kings Rock flinch effect overridden or tried in 2 steps? IE: Stench:Fail at flinch. KR:Successful at flinch. or just tried once, regardless. That one, I really don't care about as much, but...

My more curious question was, say, towards Muk + Rock Slide. (Although both questions may be stupid) I couldn't find anything to this one, does Stench stack with Rock Slide?

Sorry if I failed on any guidelines, joined today. Previously just used site for theory-craft reference, but thought what the hell. I might as well join.
