If I used PP ups on a certain move, then used another TM to overwrite that move, then used a TM to being back the original move, would it still have the increased amount of PP or not? For example, Close Combat (5PP --> 8 PP) would be erased for Sacred Sword (talking about Terrakion, obviously), then removed again for Close Combat. Would the second Close Combat have 8 PP again or not?

MinHawk, I would expect the PP would go back to its default value. I'm pretty sure the game doesn't store info about moves that were known but aren't know. (The Move Relearner uses the standard learnset.)

Fortunately, some trainers in the Big Stadium and Small Court give you PP Ups/Maxes.

My Q: If Pokemon Colloseum or XD are being played on a Wii, is the GBA link usable?

Hey there. First off, I'm not really a competitive battler (yet). I'm just starting out, and the competitive battles I would be doing would involve in game Pokemon, as opposed to that one program that is used.

However, I was wondering what would be some good teams for starting out. Preferably Pokemon I can get in Black/White, Silver, and possibly Platinum version (since I might be buying that soon.)

For starting out, I mean a team for the battle subway to begin farming the items/bracers to get EV points. Also, a team that I can use when battling friends before I start EV training and the like.

I was looking at the rate my team threads, and the teams look awesome. However, they seem catered to go against other OU teams, and the moves would be wasted on other casuals. I mean, I don't think I would need a rapid spinner going against a friend who enjoys only using damaging moves.

Are there any teams you guys could suggest, or build to accommodate my needs? I'm a noob, I'll admit, and I'm willing to learn with some help.

For EV Training, you can get the Macho Brace in-game. It's not quite as good as the Power Items, but it'll suffice for training up a Battle Frontier team. Also, it's very useful to have Pokerus. You could ask on the forum for someone to trade it to you, or you could just trade on the GTS until you find it. (I got one on like my third GTS trade, but I may have been unusually lucky.) And don't forget to loot the Abyssal Ruins (GameFAQs has a map); when you sell the stuff you get like two million Pokedollars, which is good for buying Vitamins.

Speaking of EV training, I've been wondering how it works exactly.

Let's say I have 500 EVs to train for (forget the actual number, using this for convenience.) So I kill 250 Patrats for 250 attack EVs, and then kill 250 of another Pokemon to get 250 Defense EVs. Now that I have these EVs, I Audino grind to level him up. Will I keep all the EVs I got first ? Or will I start getting HP EVs?

It'd have 5PP again.

I know that if you attempt to steal an item from an in-game trainer, the item is returned after the match.
Now what if you fling an item? Will you get the item back or would it be like using a berry and it's gone forever

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but I don't know where else it would go so here it is.

One of my friends just told me that he found what I guess you could say is a glitch in the game, where in a Rotation battle, if a Pokemon is Attracted, and then rotated out, and then the one who used Attract is KOd, the Pokemon will remain Attracted when it comes back in, even though the Attractor is no longer in play.

So I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this happening before, and if so, if there is any info on it or something.

The item disappears, according to bulbapedia.

So I am hatching pokes. And I'm obviously looking for ones with good iv's.

My question is would a modest poke have worse attack right away at level 1 or would the stats just reflect the ivs until the poke has been leveled up.

I don't know how it is with B/W, but in DPP, you could *sometimes" already see the difference right after hatching. I remember perfect speed Aerodactyl having 14 instead of 13 points.

Question: Where is the Search-Button? I can't see it anymore! Omg I got no search button to search what I'm searching! xD

Just gonna answer a few things here.

Yep. A Wii playing a GameCube game is essentially a GameCube.

Trainer battles, the item comes back.

That sounds like a gen 3 example, but this does still happen. I could immediately tell if I hatched a terrible Timid Sigilyph because it had 6 Speed as opposed to 7.

It was taken off
I don't know if my experiences with it were similar to a lot of other people, but I'm guessing it was borked

BUMP

On an offensive Swampert is it more useful to have Avalanche or Hammer Arm in the last moveslot?

Waterfall
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Avalanche/Hammer Arm

Thank you :)
