Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Yeah the radio could help you with that. But what I do is. Since you have a relatively high frame. What you could do is use the radio that advances by 13-14. Just after using it x amount of times, call Elm keeping track of what he says. Than after about 6-10 calls after the radio advancements find the matching set within RNG reporter.
So say you do six calls and those calls come out to K,K,P,P,E,E. Search for that (going to have to do it by hand, by scrolling through the seed yourself) set of calls. If you find one, that matches call once more making sure you are correct and see if it matches with the next frame.
It can be easily manipulated through that way.
No need for that extra program.

Also, as a quick tid bit. If you advance the frame the exact same way, it will always use the same frame usage every time you hit that seed.
So say you hit the seed, call Elm 10 times to verify. Use the radio that does 13-14, 5 times. Call 7 times, it will always be the same frame after that if you did it the exact same way. Easier way to keep track :P

Meh. 303 isn't that bad. I'll just do it by the single frame advancement now to keep it simple. For now I'll go RNG this Zapdos and post the results. Thanks for the help guys.

Update: Blarghhh I hit the seed and kept advancing by one slowly and accidently hit the other radio station Dx I was nearly at 100 :(
I think I'll just continue this tomorrow...

Actually it's not that hard.
Divide 303 by 13 and 14.
303/13 = 23.3...
303/14 = 21.6...

So use the radio 21 times which would make the frame between 273 to 294. Just call Elm and keep track of the calls that match in order between those frames and than just use Elm till you get where you want.

Thanks, I'll try keep this in mind for other times I RNG Legends. I'm gonna give Zapdos one more time before bed.

Bagh... What show is the one with 13-14. They say 14-18 on the first page...

It's messed up, it really is 13-14.
Yay for a 5 minute abuse that had a frame of 1,100 xD!

The good news is I'm battling him.
the bad news is HE WON'T GO IN THE FRIGGIN POKEBALL >:O

Update: It came down to my 29th pokeball and Zapdos was near to struggling. I couldn't risk it. So I caught him in a masterball. Oh well BUT I DID IT! I RNG'd my first legendary woop woop! Thanks for the help guys :P I'll be back another time when I need to RNG in Diamond xD

Cool, thank you guys mucho. I downloaded EonTimer, it helps alot.

I do have another question though. I'm RNGing another pokemon and I'm not hitting my delay. I try going to to elm search to see what delay I did hit but it says there's "no matches were found for my elm results" does this mean I've messed up somewhere in the set up?

What timer are you using?
When in Seeds to Time, how many adjacent delays do you have generated? How many adjacent seconds?
Do you have roamers out roaming? Which are Entei, Raikou, Lati@s

What Elm responses are you supposed to get? What are you getting?

I am just starting to RNG in Gen IV games, in HG to be more precise. I did the calibration steps a few times but something made me confused.

Results of my last try were

Type Seed Seconds Delay
Initial 760E0231 13 489

Donphan - #232 (Modest)
HP: 0-1
Atk: 14
Def: 14
SpA: 14
SpD: 10-11
Spe: 4-5

I just thought I'd take a look at the seed so I could figure out how much (1 or 2, right?) the sweet scenting while on a bicycle in a cave advances the frame in my copy of HG. Well the start of the seed in question looks like this (from RNG Reporter)

1 40 K 1 630FD668 Serious 0 19 29 9 2 3 11 Electric 66 F M M F
2 19 P 0 6CD1A260 Calm 0 1 4 3 26 1 30 Fire 47 F M M F
3 12 E 1 E248BBA0 Modest 0 1 14 14 14 11 4 Steel 64 M M M F

Frame three matches except for the Encounter Slot (1), I think it should be 6 or 7 since I'm doing it at the first "room" of Mt. Silver http://www.eggmove.com/encounterheartgold.htm

Am I doing something wrong or what? :D

I am using EonTImer v1.2
I'm not sure but I think when you say adjacent delays I assume you mean the ones believe the delays below the box that says Odd/even should match the seed's delay, in that case I have it set to go 20 both ways.
My seconds are 1 to 1.
No roamers.

I should get E,K,K,K,P,K,E,K,P,P but most of the time I'm getting K,P,P,P,P,K,P,K,P. I do get other results sometimes and those don't show up either.

Yes, that's what I mean by +/- delay.
That might be your problem right there. Change the max/min to 99 in both directions along with +/- 0 seconds. As with a timer you can hit the second pretty effectively.

Now try seeing if you get any results, if you don't. Tell me what you did get.

Still no result, this time i got K,P,E,P,P,K,E,K,P.
I can use the physical and special threads given in this sites RNG guide right? I dont HAVE to use time finder do I?

I really don't get the guide on how to abuse one's ID/SID... I mean, how do I know my delay when calibrating? How do I start with it? Sorry for being an english noob but I really don't get what the guide says.. If only there is a video guide out there or any other guides other than the ones posted here... T_T

What game are you trying to abuse on?

What game are you trying to abuse on?

My game is Pokemon Platinum. I know how to RNG abuse for IV's, PID and etc. But I want to go abuse my ID/SID so I can have my Shiny Flawless spread for my legendaries (its my preference to have flawless shiny legends, i dunno why).

Thanks in advance Winters Zombie!

You're welcome. So to abuse what you need to do is, start the game blah blah blah. Your ID/SID is determined when you turn the TV off. You know when it talks about the Red Gyarados, right before you can start doing stuff in game?

To find out what your delay would be, you'd have to input the time you ended the TV screen. What ID/SID combo you got, and all of the other relevant info to Pandora's box.

Although, what you could do is try to abuse for an ID/SID at a delay of about 6,000 or higher. As that's easily obtainable and gives you a little time to mess around in case you mess up. Yes, all ID/SID abuses are usually that high of a delay if not higher. Rarely lower as it takes forever to get to where you need to for the ID/SID to kick in.

Now if you miss your ID/SID. Input the time you hit. Put a min delay of 5,500. Put a Max delay of 7,000. Than put whatever ID you got, and see which has the correct SID. Whatever it was, was your delay. And you can than adjust your timer accordingly.

If you need me to explain anything further, just tell me where you got lost.

At what point do the delay starts to count when starting a new game? I use emloop timer to track my delay but in a new game, I don't know how to track my delay. Does the delay starts to count at the instance I load my Pokemon Platinum game (at the DS Menu/Hard reset)? Or is it at the instance the TV screen shows up? Or the instance I press start at the title (where Giratina shows at the bottom screen)?

The moment the game is started. That's where the delay starts for everything, in every game that has a delay.
It runs from the moment you start the game from the DS menu or soft reset.

Okay for example purposes.. Assuming that I get everything set up and now I am in the process where I need to hit the time generated within the "Seed to Time" when I copied the seed for my chosen ID/SID combination.

Example:
(Date) - 2011/06/07
(Time) - 12:34:35
(Delay) - 6754

Do I need start the Pokémon Platinum at the moment the DS clock hits 12:34:35 seconds or do I need to adjust my DS time to at least a minute before the time or so?

Anyways I'll try to abuse my ID/SID combination with all the information you have given me.. Thanks for all the help again :D

You need to end the TV screen at the 12:34:35

Oookayyy... I'm having a bit of a trouble monitoring the time when I need to end the TV screen and the delay... Any tips on what programs to use? Emloop? PikaTimer?

How do you do it?
