I’ve been running this team for a while, and I have to say it is pretty effective. I really like Choice Band Haxorus a lot. It may seem crazy to run 4 choiced pokemon on a team, but I really like the synergy it has. Anyway, I’ve always like Wash Rotom, which is the pokemon I started the team with.

Team Building Process :
Spr_5b_479W.png

As I said, Wash Rotom was the first pokemon I added to the team. I really like its design and animation, and its stats and typing are awesome. I choose to use a Choice Scarfed version of it because its kinda slow without it and it will still be powerful firing off Hydro Pumps and Thunders in rain.
Spr_5b_479W.png
Spr_5b_186_m.png

For a rain team to work, you need Politoed. Well, that’s my next member. It doesn’t have awesome synergy with Rotom outside of that, as it shares its Grass weakness, while being weak to Electric, a type that Rotom doesn’t resist. I choose a Choice Specsed version of Politoed because that way Tyranitar won’t like getting onto its Surfs countless times.

Spr_4h_212_m.png

Scizor was just an obvious on that team. It x4 resists Grass moves that my two other members are afraid of, and its only weakness is Fire, which is reduced by Rain and resisted by both Rotom and Politoed. It also gives Tyranitar further problems, which helps me, since right now it simply CANNOT switch in any of my pokemon. It also beats Ferrothorn with Superpower, something that is really appreciated by any Rain teams.

Deoxys-S helps me a lot, as it can lure Tyranitar, destroy Conkeldurr, beat Dragonite, set up Stealth Rocks. Its weaknesses are all resisted by Scizor too, which is nice. It also gives me a useful Fighting resist. It can revenge kill nearly anything, bar +2 stuff and Excadrill. It also beats Thundurus, a great threat.

I needed something bulky for my team, because not-so powerful attackers were most likely to earn easy KO’s on my other members. Dragonite is there to punish them with its powerful Hurricane.

I really didn’t know what to put there, so I just randomly threw Haxorus in. It works really well, destroying Steels like a madman.

So thanks to you all I realized my team had 1 big weakness : Electric. I replaced Dragonite for another dragon, but this time it is a Latias. It has pretty great synergy with the rest of the team.

The Team
150px-612Haxorus.png

Haxorus @ Choice Band
Ability : Mold Breaker
Nature : Adamant
EVs : 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Brick Break
-Dual Chop
Okay, so that was taken right from PK Gaming’s Enter The Dragon, but god is that set effective. Choice Band Haxorus destroys nearly everything with Outrage, even more with Skarm being less than popular. Its job is mainly to punch holes in the foe’s team right off the bat, like weakening Ferrothorn, a great threat to my team. It also stop stupid Bronzong leads from setting up Trick Room, as it will get annihilated by Earthquake. Its two weaknesses (Dragon and Ice) are resisted by Scizor, so it can beat an incoming Latios trying to Draco Meteor it. Haxorus is also an extremely important player in matches against stall-defensive teams, because it has the capacity of breaking walls pretty easily, without lots of prediction.

120px-479Rotom-Wash.png

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Ability : Levitate
Nature : Timid
EVs : 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-Hydro Pump
-Thunder
-Hidden Power Ice
-Trick
I really love this thing. It’s perfect for rain: its dual STABs fit perfectly, its ability allows it to beat Sand, and it’s fast and powerful. It’s my main sweeper: once its few counters (if any) are gone, this guy goes wild. It has good synergy with Scizor, as it can take out its counters, while Scizor does same. They also both resist each other’s only weakness. I like Hidden Power Ice because it has nice coverage with my STAB moves and beats dragons. I’m considering Volt Switch over Trick because I’m not using it often, and it can Volt Switch/U-Turn spam with its partner Scizor. It also has great synergy with Haxorus, as it can beat most Steel types that could stop its Outrage, namely Skarmory, while Haxorus beats Blissey.

140px-212Scizor.png

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability : Technician
Nature : Adamant
EVs : 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spe
-Bullet Punch
-Superpower
-U-Turn
-Pursuit
As you probably figured out before, I heavily rely on Scizor for this team to work. It has an awesome typing, which helps me resist the weaknesses of those pokemon :
-Haxorus (Dragon, Ice) 2/2
-Rotom-W (Grass) 1/1
-Deoxys-S (Bug, Dark, Ghost) 3/3
-Politoed (Grass) 1/2
-Latias (Dragon, Ice, Dark, Ghost, Bug) 5/5
So you see how important Scizor is on my team defensively. It is also extremely useful offensively, as it helps me revenge kill stuff like Terrakion, Deoxys-S, Salamence and Tornadus. It’s also my only priority user, which we all know is very important in today’s crazy fast metagame. Anyway, I think Scizor is a must on any rain teams, since it helps their weaknesses so much and it’s only weakness, Fire, has half the power in rainy conditions. Yes please.

180px-380Latias.png

Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
-Recover
-Calm Mind
-Dragon Pulse
-Surf
Latias, while not on my team before, became a crucial member of this team's success. It is my only Electric resistance, which means it's also my only safe switch-in for Thundurus. With this huge special defense and the HP investment, it's able to tank most special attack, even most super effective ones with ease (I'm not talking about Latios' Draco Meteor here!). Even more important, Latias provides me a great way to sweep the opponent's team in late game. While it's not as good in beating Conkeldurr as Dragonite was, it lacks its Rock weakness that was pretty hindering for my team, since I have no resists!

114px-386Deoxys-Speed.png

Deoxys-S @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Naïve
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-Ice Beam
-Psycho Boost
-Superpower
-Stealth Rock
People often overlook Deoxys-S as an attacker. “It’s not powerful enough”, “It’s better as a suicide lead”, “Offensive Psychics? Lol.” are a lot of comments I heard about offensive Deoxys-S. Obviously, its base Special Attack may not be as high as Chandelure, Gengar or Latios, but it can be a very powerful mixed attacker, as it is hella fast and has an awesome movepool. Against most sand teams, when Deoxys comes out and spam Ice Beams or Psycho Boosts, Tyranitar shows up, and promply gets hammered by Superpower, earning me an easy win (if Politoed is alive of course). Anyway, this guy protects me against the popular Dragonite lead, as well from DD Mence, (Garchomp, now banned), Landorus, Thundurus (Sub versions are difficult to deal with though) and other random stuff, all with Ice Beam. I like the + Speed nature on it as it can outspeed up to +1 base 100s with it. Along with Scizor, it’s my main revenge killer. I also chose it instead of other stuff because of the ever useful Stealth Rocks.

115px-186Politoed.png

Politoed @ Choice Specs
Nature: Modest
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Hidden Power Grass
-Perish Song
You thought Politoed was a defenseless, cute frog and that was better suited as a pet than a competitive pokemon? Well, the truth is that it WAS. Politoed now has the best ability in the game, Drizzle, which is why it found a spot on my team. It has pretty decent Special Attack, maxing at 305, which becomes pretty respectable with a Choice Specs to boost it. Along with Dragonite, it is a bulky powerhouse. Tyranitar often comes on it thinking it will take pathetic damage from something like 0 SpA Surf, but then it faces a nasty surprise. I opted for Perish Song on the last slot since it protects me from SmashPass, and I don’t like to mess with the RNG and risk a Focus Blast miss, which would end the game pretty soon for me.

I hope you enjoyed my RMT. Here’s the “export to text”

598MS.png
Ferrothorn - Scizor can Superpower it, Deoxys-S can too. Haxorus will damage it a lot with Brick Break/EQ/Outrage, and it won't like taking multiple rain boosted Hydro Pumps from Rotom-W.
248MS.png
Tyranitar - The only pokemon on my team that can't beat Tyranitar is Dragonite. Otherwise, it can't get on any members if I predict correctly.
212MS.png
Scizor - Rotom-W and Politoed are my best bets. Specially Defensive version is a bigger problem though.
472MS.png
Gliscor - Beaten by everything bar Scizor, who can just U-Turn out. Not much of a problem seriously.
381MS.png
Latios - Deoxys-S if not scarfed, Scizor, Rotom-W are good revenge killers, but most of the time it will end up killing something.
530MS.png
Excadrill - If rain is up, it can't threaten this team. If sand is up, I'll have to rely on Rotom-W to Hydro Pump it.
579MS.png
Reuniclus - Scizor and Haxorus beat it pretty easily.
485MS.png
Heatran - Here again, if rain is up, it will struggle to damage anything on this team (Scizor won't like Fire Blast though). Rotom-W damages it quite a lot with Hydro Pump, and Haxorus can Brick Break/Outrage it for the 2HKO if it has Balloon.
385MS.png
Jirachi - Everyone loves playing against this! I have issues against Specially Defensive version of this guy. EQing it with Haxorus is my best bet.
149MS.png
Dragonite - Dnite leads are beaten by both Haxorus (who bypasses Multiscale and strike it with the powerful Outrage) and Deoxys-S. If it lost Multiscale, then Deoxys-S will have no problems beating it mid-game.
534MS.png
Conkeldurr - Dragonite is my main answer to it, but Deoxys-S can Psycho Boost it too. It has troubles with 2/3 of my team. Seriously beaten quite easily.
186MS.png
Politoed - Do I really need to explain how rain teams beat Politoed?
094MS.png
Gengar - Scizor, Deoxys-S and Rotom outspeed and KO it. SubDisable versions give Scizor issues though.
227MS.png
Skarmory - It tends to come on Dragonite, and gets promply Thunder'd. No big deal here.
642MS.png
Thundurus - I'll have to revenge kill it with Deoxys or predict a Nasty Plot. Rotom-W can also revenge kill it. Big threat.
593MS.png
Jellicent - Energy Ball version is a big threat, like to every teams. On a more serious note, Dragonite, Haxorus and Rotom-W beat it with Thunder / Outrage
121MS.png
Starmie - Probably the biggest threat to my team. LO versions beat 5 pokemon on my team, but Rotom is generally able to save me.
637MS.png
Volcarona - Dragonite is my best bet against it, while Rotom-W can beat it with Hydro Pump.
392MS.png
Infernape - Gets annihilated by Dnite and Deoxys-S. Rotom-W also does a fair job against it.
130MS.png
Gyarados - Really not a big threat with Rotom-W on my team ready to destroy it. Dragonite is also able to beat non-Ice Fang versions (who seriously run Ice Fang on Gyarados these days?)
242MS.png
Blissey - Deoxys-S, Scizor and Haxorus beats her.
242MS.png
227MS.png
SkarmBliss - Scizor is my best bet against this combo, although not seen a lot this gen. It beats Blissey and can U-Turn out of Skarm so something like Rotom can OHKO it.
205MS.png
Forretress - Will not like boosted Water moves from Politoed and Rotom.
038MS.png
Ninetales - Ninetales alone isn't threatening for this team.
635MS.png
Hydreigon - Deoxys-S and Scizor beat choiced versions pretty easily. Non-choiced version are never seen.
612MS.png
Haxorus - An extreme threat. It can keep spamming Outrages as it wants. Deoxys-S is my best bet to revenge it while its locked into Outrage.
373MS.png
Salamence - Deoxys-S can get on it while it DDs, can slay it with Ice Beam.
462MS.png
Magnezone - Is it really a threat when you have 1 steel on your team? I think not.
639MS.png
Terrakion - Scizor and Deoxys-S can beat SD versions. Scarfed versions give me issues.
134MS.png
Vaporeon - Dragonite and Rotom-W can beat it with a super-effective 100% accurate Thunder.
376MS.png
Metagross - Rotom-W fully counters any versions, bar Explosion, which is greatly nerfed this gen (and will result in Metagross' death)
286MS.png
Breloom - Dragonite beats it easily. Scizor threaten it with Bullet Punch. Deoxys-S beats it. Not a threat at all.
609MS.png
Chandelure - Rotom-W again beats it. Politoed too. Rain hinders its sweeping capabilities.

Will continue later, but there's pretty much only pointless pokemon left.

Alright, your team for the most part is good, however I have noted several glaring problems with the team. RP or Scarf terakion. Change poiltoed to quiet nature 0 speed IV to get rain over t-tar's sand, seems like a good enough team, I'll give it a whirl.

You lack a solid electric resistance, which is especially important when using a rain team. I'd consider using a Ferrothorn, because Thunder from the opponent will deal huge chunks of damage, as you have nothing to reliably switch in on it. Dragonite could also be replaced with Latias perhaps.

I like Latias, I'll have to test it. Thanks!

Choice Band Haxorus destroys nearly everything with Outrage, even more with Skarm being less than popular.[/HIDE]

skarm was #16 in the May usage stats. That's pretty popular. :/

anyway, GroudonEx was correct. Haxorus HARDLY takes electric attacks. Specs Thudurus and Rotom laugh at your puny efforts to stop them. Something that can take their hits consistently would help your team a lot.
Unfortuately, Thundurus has no absolute counters, but at least you have a couple of checks, and he's going to ubers next month anyway. Replacing Dragonite with a Nattorei would be a good idea, though. You have pokes to take out fighting type pokemon that would try to set up on it and you wouldn't have to risk a turn letting Deoxys get KO'd/crippled as it sets up SR. However, this leaves you even more vulnerable to a Volcarona sweep. You were already getting swept by Bug Buzz/Quiver Dance/HP Ice/(fire move that is for the most part useless against this team) assuming rocks were up, which is likely considering you lack a spinner. Deoxys-s can easily revenge it if you give stealth rock to nattorei and replace it with Rock Slide. It might appear to be an odd choice, but it secures several games from Volcarona's grasp.

Anyway, decent team. I like the use of Perish Song on Politoed. It just sends a big middle-finger straight in Gorebyss' stupid face.

(BTW, magnezone still is a threat to scizor, no matter what you say ;D)

I only have two things to say as of now. Once your rotom is down, you really don't have much that can take down a Gyarados, and a Sleep Talk set would probably pick apart this team. For that reason, I would get rid of SR on DeoS for Thunderbolt. I know SR is vital to a team, but in the end it is your choice.
In addition I would reccomend changing your Rotom set to 252 HP 252 SpA because your team would enjoy a bit more bulk.

Well, thanks all for your feedbacks.

I've changed Dragonite to Latias in order to pretect my team from Thundurus and Rotom-W. Darthenos, I'll probably change Surf to Thunderbolt on Latias, thanks for the advice.

Oh and sorry for Latias' pic, I'm having issues centering it ._.

Does 4 Pokemon choiced in 1 team give u a problem?
No
