Smells Like A Balance Team

Intro

Hey guys, I made a simple Balance team for LC that consists of two Defensive pivots, a Choice Scarf user, a Sweeper, a Utility Pokemon, and a wall breaker. This started off as a joke team to use the most common Pokemon team in LC template, like how every other LC team in this particular round seemed to have done. It was Misdreavus, Gligar, Meditite, then three fillers. So I tired it and it worked out pretty cool.

If you'll notice, I have at least 2 or more checks for each of the top suspects of LC, on this team. Stuff like Gligar, Misdreavus, Meditite, Scraggy, and Carvanha I mean.

adambaldwin (Mienfoo) (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 156 Atk / 36 Def / 36 SDef / 236 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Drain Punch
- Taunt
- Payback
- Knock Off

Mienfoo is the star utility Pokemon of the team. This set is used mainly for a few things, stopping Scraggy sweeps and KOing them, Misdreavus check, and an Anti-Dwebble / Hazards Pokemon. I use it as my lead Pokemon most of the time (especially when I see Dwebble on my Opponent's team).

Drain Punch is the obvious STAB option that gives it back HP, as well as nailing Scraggy and crew, hard. Taunt stops Dwebble and other hazards / status Pokemon from doing stuff, as well as stopping things like Shell Smash Clamperl from setting up. Payback nails Misdreavus, dishing out a OHKO on no Eviolite and no HP EVs versions, while it does 14 - 18 (63.64% - 81.82%) to Eviolite versions. This is significant, because the average Timid Misdreavus (without Ghost Plate, LO, or Choice Specs) does 47% or 10 damage to Mienfoo, so Mienfoo will dodge the 2HKO by the skin of its teeth, if it is at 100% health prior to the Shadow Balls (1 Point of prior damage would end it though). Usually I try not to take on Misdreavus with Mienfoo, though, since some versions carry Will-O-Wisp for things like Stunky and crew. Knock Off, while slightly odd, is extremely vital to this set and is an overall excellent move in LC. In order to properly revenge Scraggy, I need this move in my arsenal (I learned this the hard way). The reason for this is because if Scraggy gets a Dragon Dance while I'm switching in my Mienfoo, it can Dragon Dance again, tanking a Drain Punch, then proceed to Drain Punch Mienfoo to death. With Knock Off, however, it is a different story. Mienfoo has the ability to Knock Off on the second Dragon Dance, tank a +2 Drain Punch, then Drain Punch Scraggy back for a OHKO on average, on the second turn. If Scraggy doesn't Drain Punches on my Knock Off turn though, I would switch to Meditite or Sac a poke, then bring back in Meditite or Mienfoo to tank a hit (Moxie boost or not) and OHKO it back. Knock Off is also good for just general use, especially with Eviolite being so prevalent, and taking off Flight Gems so Slowpoke can't get OHKOd (bar crits).

EVs are simply max speed then nearly max out attack, taking off one stat point to add a stat point to each defense, to bolster the Eviolite boost. The speed (17) helps me outrun nearly every non 19 Speed tier Pokemon, including the main threats to my team like Dwebble and Scraggy (pre-DD). In the same vein, defensive EVs allows me to take hits just well enough to counter or check the previously mentioned Pokemon, as well as many others. Speaking of taking hits, Mienfoo's amazing ability Regenerator is one of the things that makes it really shine. Regenerator, along with Drain Punch, make it survive for quite a while, without even needing a traditional recovery move. Points where other Pokemon may have been discarded or blown away by a slight breeze, Mienfoo just adds on another 33% of health when it switches out.

adambaldwin (Gligar) (F) @ Flight Gem
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 236 Atk / 236 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake
- Substitute

If you've played LC this round recently, you know exactly what this set is. AcroBat, supposedly invented by user Masterful here on Smogon, basically is just here to do a ton of fucking damage and possibly sweep and it has done the latter a handful of times, while it has done the former a shit load of times. It is surprisingly useful as an anti-metagame Pokemon that has become the metagame, which doesn't make much sense but yeah.

The great thing about Acrobatics Gligar is, you know it's out there, but you can't do a thing about your team being susceptible to it, unless you want to be susceptible to other common threats, such as Scraggy and crew. A Swords Danced Acrobatics with Flight Gem (equaling 165 BP without STAB factored in) has the power to OHKO a max / max Impish Slowpoke @ Eviolite with a high damage roll or with SR if they lack one less point than max in HP (which is common for Slowpoke in order to get an even number of SpDef for Eviolite). It also is good for OHKOing annoying Scraggy and Meditite who before used to have an Ice Punch ready for simple Eviolite Aerial Ace Gligar, but most have them have caught on by now. With that said, Gligar is mostly here to tear up shit. Earthquake is there to round out coverage (only losing to like Bronzor or something in LC), while it still packs a punch, OHKOing things like Carvanha without having to waste my Flight Gem. Substitute is the golden filler move that I enjoy over Agility and etc., because it eases prediction and helps me sweep, while also arguably being the safer option. With Substitute, I can do things like Substitute on a predicted Protect from Speed Boost Carvanha, and if I'm wrong, I only lose 25%, whereas with stuff like Agility, I would get Hydro Pumped in the face.

EVs again, are straightforward, max / max and there are no leftovers. I chose Immunity just because Sand Veil has no effect outside of the Sand, but I sometimes use Sand Veil if I know the opponent has a Sand team. When someone tries to hax you, you go ahead and try to hax them right back. Although, Immunity is useful in a pinch.

307.png

adambaldwin (Meditite) (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Pure Power
EVs: 116 HP / 196 Atk / 156 Def / 36 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Drain Punch
- ThunderPunch
- Ice Punch
- Bullet Punch

This guy as well, needs no introduction. He's a straightforward 28 Atk attacker, bulky, and is good against anything not named Misdreavus, Gligar, or something similar to them. Meditite is my only priority user, and tears down LC "walls" as nothing can take its hits lightly, except for obscure things like Elgyem.

Quad Punch set is very simple and straight forward. Drain Punch is the main STAB attack and is used when I want HP back and I know I can OHKO them, or if they can't do anything back. Shows Scraggy who's boss. ThunderPunch is mostly to 2HKO Slowpoke, while also nailing Frillish and Tentacool for SE. It has died down in usage, being favored over Zen Headbutt recently, so that's good for my surprise factor a bit I suppose. Ice Punch is for Gligar on the switch in, OHKOing all forms (has a chance to not on minimum damage roll vs Eviolite versions), as well as nailing Grass- / Poison-Types. Bullet Punch is for general priority, nailing things such as a 26% or below Misdreavus for a OHKO, and other low health mons trying to cling onto survival. I've thought about using moves like Recover over one of the slots, but it really isn't that needed for my team, as much as the above moves all are. Meditite is really used for breaking down walls that would otherwise be hard to defeat with this team, considering I only have one sweeper.

EVs are a tad different, but not complicated. Max attack Adamant, then 14 Defense to bolster the Eviolite boost, and 21 HP for a clean 21/21 HP and Defense, while I put the leftovers in Speed. This helps me to mostly live through Scraggy beatings, as a double insurance (with Mienfoo) to prevent a Scraggy sweep. Should Mienfoo fail to KO it, and it gets something like +3 Atk, Meditite should be able to live through a Crunch, and OHKO it back with Drain Punch.

200.png

adambaldwin (Misdreavus) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 36 HP / 236 SAtk / 236 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Icy Wind
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

Although first in team preview, I almost never lead with it. Misdreavus is the best Choice Scarf user in LC this round, period. It has saved my ass countless times and I rely on it so much. Misdreavus has revenged many a pokemon and for all those reasons, it is awarded team MVP.

Shadow Ball is its main STAB attack, which is used a lot to decimate opposing Misdreavus. Assuming they've been at least slightly damaged by Lileep or SR, prior to the attack. Reason: Shadow Ball vs 36 / 0 Misdreavus @ Eviolite deals 14 - 20 (60.87% - 86.96%), which is 18 damage on average so I would need one Lileep Energy Ball in order to faint it with Shadow Ball on average. Oran Berry, LO, and opposing Choice Scarf Misdreavus are OHKOd on average without SR, but guaranteed a OHKO with minimum damage when they've taken either an Energy Ball or SR damage if they have HP Fighting / Fire (since they won't have enough EVs to add a point in their HP stat). Icy Wind is used to destroy Gligar and other fliers, while also having a nice speed lowering effect, just in case I want to slow down something as well. Thunderbolt is a bit of an oddball in terms of LC coverage. I originally had Hidden Power Fighting there for general coverage reasons (Munchlax and Scraggy), but I recently ran into trouble with some ResTalk Mantyke sets. Although I could have used Trick on the Mantyke, that would leave me without a solid revenge Scarf'er, as well as being risky if it switched. It's decent for coverage still, but in some cases I've felt myself slightly missing Hidden Power Fighting. Recently, however, I've been considering switching to Hidden Power Ground, just to nail Stunky (2HKO on average) that try to trap and kill my Misdreavus. Of course, I would have to play mind games with it still, but at least I would have something to barter with now. Trick is to screw with Pokemon that would not appreciate being locked into one move, ie Scraggy, Lileep, Porygon, etc.

EVs are pretty clear cut, Max / Max and leftovers in HP. Timid just to outspeed Modest Misdreavus and to tie with stuff like 14 Speed Chlorophyll users. It doesn't miss that 1 SpAtk point anyway. Choice Scarf is Choice Scarf, but outspeeding Clamperl after Shell Smash is a fun reason too.

345.png

adambaldwin (Lileep) (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 228 HP / 140 Def / 140 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Recover
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Lileep is the first part, Special Wall, of the defensive core combo I like to call Lilepoke (SlowEep is ok too, but it sounds like I'm calling user Wildeep retarded or something). The main reason I chose Lileep was because it could fill the roles that Ferroseed does in the Ferropoke combo, while not being Ferroseed. Of course, there are other benefits to using Lileep over Ferroseed as well, such as; not having that nasty 4x weakness to Fire-Type attacks (or weakness to it at all), immunity to Water-Type attacks, even getting a SpAtk boost from them, Recover, and the ability to 2HKO Opponent's Ferroseed with Hidden Power Fire. As well as doing the stuff people usually have Ferroseed for, only better, such as; walling non-Nasty Plot Misdreavus, walling Carvanha (takes 34% or 9 Damage from a Mixed LO Crunch, while it takes 46% or 12 Damage from Physical LO Crunch on average for both), walls Chinchou + Staryu (Ice Beam from 16 SpAtk stat versions without a boosting item do 10 - 12 [38.46% - 46.15%] - Average of 10 Damage), while just being a general special sponge. It also happens to reach a 40 Special Defense stat, should my Opponent provide the sand. Just fyi, Lileep isn't some useless sand only Pokemon like people automatically assume, since they only see it on Sand teams, its strongth man.

Stealth Rock is for the general hazard that will damage stuff like Misdreavus enough for revenging. I usually find opportunities to set it up when I switch into a Misdreavus, since I really only need to damage it so much, usually one Energy Ball, to where it can be revenged by my Misdreavus and an extra Energy Ball would have not made a difference. Recover is recover. Since Giga Drain is illegal with Storm Drain, I am forced to use Energy Ball, which isn't that bad since it gets a nifty SpDef lowering chance, but it isn't as useful as Giga Drain. It is still a necessity, however, healing effect or not, its my main STAB attack and helps takes down the things Lileep is designed to stop, such as; Carvanha, Chinchou, Clamperl, Staryu, and etc. Hidden Power Fire rounds out my coverage and 2HKOs things like Ferroseed, Pawniard, Magnemite, and etc. Toxic isn't exactly needed, except for maybe opposing Lileep and stuff, Energy Ball hits most of the things you would want to hit with Toxic for SE, anyway (ie Slowpoke and Frillish).

The EVs are designed to take Special Hits very well, while also taking Physical hits decently, hitting even Eviolite numbers, and maxing out HP. There was a reason why I invested the extra HP point instead of adding them to SpAtk and Speed, but I can't remember it off the top of my head unfortunately. Storm Drain is a very cool ability this generation, although the SpAtk boost isn't too useful, the immunity definitely is.

Edit: I REMEMBERED! It's to take a Blizzard from Scarf or Eviolite Chinchou / Staryu during Hail and recover off the damage without being 2HKOd, on average. It does 12/26 damage on average and Hail does 1, so if i get hit by Blizzard twice it would add up to 25 damage when counting Hail, but with 26 HP I'll survive with 1 HP, then I can just Recover until Blizzard runs out of PP, since it only has 8.

HELGA (Slowpoke) (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 116 HP / 236 Def / 36 SAtk / 116 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Toxic
- Slack Off
- Fire Blast

Slowpoke is the second part, Defensive Wall, of LilePoke. Everyone who's played BW LC knows that Slowpoke is the premier Physical Wall, full of high defense, recovery, Regenerator, and all that good stuff. He does his job walling the majority of Physical threats in LC not named Carvanha, Scraggy, or a Swords Danced Acrobatics Flight Gem Gligar (although he is my first line of defense vs said Gligar). Pretty much simple and straight forward.

Surf over Psychic, since it beats Timburr and Mienfoo one on one anyway, and it really needs Surf in order to immediately threaten Acrobatics Gligar (other versions as well). Toxic is for obvious status, as Slowpoke functions as a good ToxicStaller as well. Slack Off is Jack Off. Fire Blast them stupid Ferroseed! Slowpoke is my main wall for Meditite too, Toxic it first, then if it doesn't have ThunderPunch, Slack Off stall it. If it does ThunderPunch you, switch out once, to like Gligar or Mienfoo or something, then switch back on a non-ThunderPunch move and stall it till it dies.

EVs are just max Defense and nearly max HP, but take off one stat point for Special Defense, in order to get an even number, then dump the leftovers in Special Attack. Regenerator is cool beans.

Change Log

None so far, you guys got any ideas?

Threat List

Threats in Red are dangerous against this team.
Threats in Black are not Red.

Abra:

Life Orb: Lileep takes 46% from Psychic, which is a 2HKO with SR, so I would have to be careful of that. Usually, I would go to Slowpoke then to Lileep, then Recover + Energy Ball it to death. Misdreavus outspeeds and OHKOs. It takes like 52% from Meditite's Bullet Punch.

Choice Scarf / Specs: Slowpoke first, unless I assume Trick or something. Misdreavus usually outspeeds and beats it as well, or at worst speed ties with a +Nature Max Speed Choice Scarf Abra, but I don't really think those are used, Abra is hardly used as it is. Also, attacking it with any attack works, Abra is as frail as shit.

Axew

Eviolite: Meditite smashes it in the face.

Choice Scarf: Slowpoke can tank Outrages and Toxic or Surf it to death. Meditite smashes it in the face.

Bronzor

HYPNOSIS BRONZOR IS ILLEGAL DON'T USE IT.

Oran Berry: It sets up Stealth Rock usually, has something like Psychic, HP Ice, Earthquake, Toxic or Flash Cannon on its moveset. Meditite is usually my best bet to avoid as much damage, since Toxic will screw with Slowpoke / Lileep. Drain Punch it to death, or Fire Blast / Hidden Power Fire with Slowpoke and Lileep, respectively.

Eviolite: Same as Oran Berry, but gives me less HP when I Drain Punch it to death.

Dual Screens: Annoying, but usually I would bring out Meditite to smash, whoever they switches in after Screens are up, in the face with a Drain Punch, or whatever.

Trick Room: Doesn't do much after Trick Room, Meditite smashes the switch in.

Carvanha

Mixed: Switch in Lileep take the 36% Crunch, then Energy Ball as to not risk the Defense drop. Mienfoo and Meditite can tank a Hydro Pump at full health if Lileep can't come into Carvanha for whatever reason.

Physical: I assume Mixed first, so if Lileep takes the Physical 46% Crunch and doesn't have enough HP to take another, for whatever reason, I could either switch to Mienfoo / Meditite, or sac Lileep or something, then bring them in to OHKO it back.

Chinchou

Choice Scarf: Lileep takes it on, Ice Beam hurts, but it can shrug it off or go to Slowpoke. Misdreavus also outspeeds with its scarf and threatens with a Shadow Ball, beats it one on one. Meditite can tank a hit if need be and OHKO it back.

Bulky Eviolite: Gligar OHKOs with EQ but has to watch out for Scald, Lileep takes this on all day and night. Meditite can take it on as well, but has to watch out for Scald like Gligar. It usually has Thunderwave though, so I avoid switching in any other Pokemon against it if I can.

Clamperl

Eviolite Shell Smash: If Mienfoo is on it then I would Taunt first if I'm feeling confident or Lileep is down. Lileep takes an Ice Beam for like 20 damage on average, and OHKOs it back with Energy Ball. Misdreavus outspeeds it even after a Shell Smash and OHKOs with Thunderbolt. Meditite speed ties with it, so that leads to some dangerous games, but he could come out on top.

Deepseatooth Shell Smash: This is the more deadly of the two. If I think it is Deepseatooth, I will always Taunt with Mienfoo, or Knock Off if I think it will attack. Of course, if Misdreavus isn't dead, I can just Thunderbolt it, but this guy usually comes around late game, and most teams like to gun for Misdreavus early, especially if they have Stunky. Lileep cannot take an Ice Beam after Shell Smash, so that's out of the question. Gligar can do the thing where he Substitutes on a Shell Smash, then Acrobatics it if I want as well.

Cottonee

Eviolite Leech Seed: Lileep is usually my best switch in to this. It doesn't mind Stun Spore too much, is immune to Leech Seed, and can Hidden Power Fire it to death. As an added bonus, Lileep isn't weak to Hidden Power Fire like Ferroseed is, which Cottonee usually carries. Encore is annoying, but usually I can tell who it will switch in after Encore, and predict / switch accordingly. Meditite can just Ice Punch it until it dies, as it usually takes 69% or 16 out of 23 HP. Slowpoke has Fire Blast and Misdreavus can Trick it, but Lileep usually has things covered.

Eviolite Cotton Guard + Giga Drain: Same thing as above, but Meditite can't handle it as well this time, and Slowpoke fears Giga Drain.

Darumaka

Hustle Choice Scarf: Hurts like hell, but manageable. Slowpoke can come in on anything, but U-Turn, however, any remotely skilled player would notice a Slowpoke switch in miles away. If I think it'll U-Turn, I would usually go to Mienfoo, or Misdreavus / Gligar if Mienfoo is out of the question. Although U-Turn doesn't hurt THAT bad anyway, since Slowpoke has Regeneration.

Hustle Life Orb: Slowpoke again, U-Turn hurts it bad, but I have Regeneration anyway. Gligar OHKOs it. Also it misses a lot.

Deino

Hustle Choice Band / LO: Hurts like a bitch, Slowpoke is 2HKOd by Outrage, so I would usually have to sacrifice something to it if he switches in on Misdreavus Shadow Ball or Lileep. Meditite can OHKO it back with Drain Punch and can tank a LO Outrage at full health on average, but dies to Choice Banded ones. Mienfoo outspeeds and OHKOs with Drain Punch, as well as Gligar with Acrobatics.

Choice Scarf: Slowpoke still gets 2HKOd by Outrage, so Meditite is probably my best bet, as Misdreavus's Icy Wind only does 61% on average. Mienfoo can now tank an Outrage on average, but risks a OHKO on a high damage roll. Hustle induced misses help though.

Diglett

Life Orb Arena Trap: It traps Pokemon not named Misdreavus and Gligar, so for my other Pokemon this is what I do. Mienfoo Drain Punches it to death. Meditite Drain Punches / Bullet Punches it to death. Lileep Energy Balls it to death. Slowpoke surfs it to death. Gligar I would switch because all of them have Hidden Power Ice, obviously. Misdreavus can Shadow Ball or Icy Wind it death, but it fears Sucker Punch so I'd rather switch to like Slowpoke.

Doduo

Brave Bird Choice Scarf: Slowpoke can tank a hit then Surf it to death or Slack Off damage as it dies to Recoil. Misdreavus outspeeds and OHKOs with Thunderbolt.

Brave Bird Life Orb: Same as above, only Gligar can kill it now, but I'd rather not waste my Flight Gem. Meditite can Bullet Punch it to death when it has low enough HP, which is on average 9 HP so 47% for 19 HP LO. However, I have to watch out for Adamant / +Nature Life Orb Brave Birds, as they 2HKO Slowpoke on average, if I switch into one with Slowpoke, I would be forced to Sac something, then revenge it.

Dratini

Life Orb Mixtini: This is actually pretty dangerous, but can be pretty easily handled by just switching between Lileep and Slowpoke, stalling out the Life Orb damage. Lileep tanks Draco Meteor like a champ, but takes 50% from an Outrage. So while it can't switch into an Outrage, it can easily Recover them off fully, but I'd have to hope for no crits. Slowpoke gets 2HKOd by a Draco Meteor + Outrage, so if Slowpoke switches into a Draco Meteor, I will be forced to switch into something to take an Outrage, like Lileep or Mienfoo if I don't want Lileep to take that big of a hit. Otherwise, just attack it with Slowpoke/Lileep or Drain Punch it with Mienfoo, attack it with Gligar, when its low enough to be OHKOd.

Life Orb Dragon Dance: Annoying, but usually I would go to Meditite and Drain Punch it for a OHKO, always, unless it invests a lot of Defense EVs, which would be retarded for Life Orb. Outrage hurts, but it doesn't OHKO, and I could also go to Slowpoke and try to Surf it death, but I could die in the process, while it would have gotten a few Dragon Dances. It has ExtremeSpeed to bypass Bullet Punch as well.

Eviolite Dragon Dance: Same as above, Meditite is my main counter to it, although it would take a beating chunk from Outrage and Drain Punch won't OHKO this time.

Drilbur

Sand Rush Life Orb: Slowpoke can take it on, but will get 2HKOd on average by a +2 LO Earthquake after SR damage. So if Slowpoke is weakened, Lileep can be my next best bet, it will survive a +2 LO Earthquake and will OHKO it with Energy Ball after LO recoil, on average. Meditite can also take it on, tanking a +2 LO EQ at full health, and OHKO it back with Drain Punch, on average.

Dwebble

Sturdy Entry Hazards: This guy is pretty damn annoying. Although Mienfoo totally beats it with Taunt, Knock Off, and Drain Punch, all it takes is for it to get a smart switch on something like Lileep, then it can at least get one layer of SR or Spikes before Mienfoo can come in. I have to predict the switch ins and react accordingly. In terms of killing it, Slowpoke can Surf it to death, but hates STAB SE X-Scissors and Toxic, and Meditite can Drain Punch + Bullet Punch it to death to bypass Sturdy and Oran Berry. However, even with Mienfoo, the ball is in the hands of the Dwebble player, as it is pretty damn easy for them to get off at least one layer with it, with just simple switching.

Sturdy Shell Smash: Pretty strong, but Mienfoo and Meditite will usually take it on the same way as the above set, although Aerial Ace would hurt, it doesn't have much outside of that.

Elekid

Life Orb: Lileep can tank a Cross Chop, although it does around 50ish% or more, break the sub or nearly OHKO it with Energy Ball. Misdreavus also nearly OHKOs with Shadow Ball, outspeeds, and can tank a Thunderbolt if need be. ThunderPunch could hurt though. Meditite can take it on a full health as well.

Ekans

Intimidate Eviolite / Choice Scarf (?): Has Glare and Switcheroo so is actually pretty annoying. Slowpoke hates getting Switcheroo'd a Choice Scarf, but can wall it otherwise, and doesn't mind Thunderwave too much. Lileep can handle it without a Poison move, while Gligar can OHKO, but has to watch out for Glare and stuff, if it switches in. I'm not sure if Glare can hit Misdreavus, but if it can't it can switch in on the Switcheroo and Shadow Ball it to death, although Swagger is pretty annoying.

Ferroseed

Entry Hazards / Leech Seed Eviolite: Lileep can 2HKO with Hidden Power Fire, Mienfoo has Taunt, Knock Off, and Drain Punch, Meditite has Drain Punch, Slowpoke has Fire Blast, Misdreavus has Trick, and Gligar can set up on it, although Bullet Seed breaks its subs.

Frillish

Eviolite: Annoying, but manageable. Slowpoke can Toxic it and tank a Shadow Ball, but it does a LOT. Lileep can then stall it from there, or attempt to Energy Ball it to death, hoping for a Special Defense drop somewhere, but has to watch out for Toxic itself, though most usually carry Will-O-Wisp. Meditite has ThunderPunch, but might fail to OHKO it. Mienfoo can Taunt or Knock Off it, but can't really kill it by itself. Misdreavus can Shadow Ball a weakened one to death.

Gligar

Flight Gem (+ Sand Veil) Acrobatics: I assume this Gligar first now, whenever I see it on a team. Usually it Swords Dances or subs right off the bat, so I would usually go to Slowpoke. If I predict Swords Dance and am willing to take the risk, I could go to Misdreavus then Icy Wind it to death. Slowpoke is usually my best bet though, since it usually lives through a +2 FG Acrobatics from a Jolly Gligar, assuming it is at full HP, then I would Surf it back for a likely OHKO. Slowpoke takes 33% from an Itemless Acrobatics at +0 while it takes 66% from a +2, all on average. Misdreavus can always revenge it back with Icy Wind (assuming it doesn't miss thanks to its 95% accuracy). When paired with Sand Veil in the sand, it is especially annoying.

Sand Veil + Oran Berry Acrobatics: Usually, I would assume this type of Gligar when I see a Hippopotas on their team. It almost always Substitutes first, so I would bring in Slowpoke and hope that my Surfs don't miss that much, or at least break the Substitutes before I die, if I die. I would then proceed to revenge it with Scarf Misdreavus Icy Wind.

Swords Dance Eviolite: The Eviolite versions are the easier of the bunch. Same as above really, but Slowpoke can handle it easier, and Meditite can even tank an Aerial Ace and OHKO it back with Ice Punch, on average, if need be.

Toxic Taunt Eviolite: Annoying more to Slowpoke, but it can still handle it, despite disliking Toxic. Same as above as well.

Hippopotas

Stealth Rock + Roar / Yawn Eviolite: It almost always leads, so I usually lead back with Gligar, set up a Swords Dance, then attempt a OHKO with FG Acrobatics, but if that fails to OHKO it, I would get Roar'd then hit it with a light breeze, to whatever Pokemon I get switched to, in order to kill it. Mienfoo can also Taunt it to stop it from Stealth Rock'ing, but it risks getting 2HKOd by Earthquake, since Hippopotas users seem to be Earthquake happy whenever they see a Mienfoo.

Houndour

Life Orb: Fire Blast has enough power to 2HKO Lileep, so that's not good. Slowpoke takes 26 damage (out of 27 HP, on average, from a +Nature LO Max Special Attack Dark Pulse, so it can kill it with Surf if Slowpoke is at full health. Gligar can outspeed and OHKO with Earthquake, but risks getting hit by a hard Sucker Punch. Meditite and Mienfoo can both tank a Fire Blast, on average, but risk getting OHKOd on a high damage roll. If they survive, they will OHKO it back with Drain Punch.

Eviolite: A bit easier, thanks to less power, but Surf from Slowpoke won't OHKO, and Fire Blast still hurts, so I have to rely on smart switching, such as Slowpoke on a Fire Blast, then Mienfoo on the Dark Pulse. Otherwise, I use the same method as above.

Lickitung

Dragon Tail (+Curse Restalk) Eviolite: Mienfoo and Meditite own it with Drain Punch, Knock Off, or Taunt, respectively. Misdreavus can also Trick it a Scarf, but there usually is no need for that.

Lileep

Sandless Eviolite: Toxic with Slowpoke, tank the Energy Ball, then switch out to my Lileep and stall it to death. My Lileep must be wary of Toxic from the opposing Lileep, as well. Misdreavus can Trick it. Mienfoo and Meditite can tank Energy Balls and 2HKO it back with Drain Punch (so bulky it usually lives a Meditite Drain Punch at full health).

Sandstorm Eviolite: Same as above, only it almost always carries Toxic this time, so Mienfoo and Meditite are better to kill it with, although it would obviously switch out, so nailing it with Toxic usually does the trick.

Sandstorm Set Up Sweeper: Same as above, again, only if it is Restalk, then I would have to hope Meditite can still take it on, assuming it didn't get too many Curses or Barriers, otherwise Mienfoo can usually take it on with Taunt, Knock Off, and Drain Punch as well.

Magnemite

Choice Scarf: Annoying makes huge dents in my team and forces me to predict a lot. It usually comes in to revenge Gligar, since most have Hidden Power Ice now of days. I would switch to Slowpoke if I predict HP Ice, or Lileep for Thunder Bolt / Volt Switch (or even Gligar if I'm feeling ballsy). Flash Cannon 2HKOs Lileep, but if it catches it on something else it can HP Fire it to death, or on the switch in. Slowpoke also has Fire Blast, which would OHKO with SR, on average. Mienfoo and Meditite can possibly live a Thunderbolt at full HP and OHKO it back with Drain Punch.

Life Orb: Same as above, only much harder to switch into, as more Thunderbolt now OHKOs Mienfoo and Meditite, but Mienfoo can now outspeed and OHKO, as well as Gligar doing the same.

Eviolite: Same as above, only Mienfoo's Drain Punch doesn't OHKO all the time, iirc, but it more easier Life Orb. Only problem is I might mistake it for Choice Scarf, if my opponent is good at bluffing.

Mantyke

Eviolite Restalk: Misdreavus OHKOs with Thunderbolt, or can Trick if necessary. Meditite can OHKO with ThunderPunch, but has to watch out for Hidden Power Flying and Scald burns. Restalk gets rid of Toxic stalling and Mienfoo can't switch into it to Taunt, since it has Hidden Power Flying and/or Scald.

Meditite

Eviolite: Switch to Slowpoke and hopefully they don't ThunderPunch, then proceed to Toxic and switch to something like Mienfoo if they start to ThunderPunch. Switch back to Slowpoke, then back again to something that would take the hit, basically just play around with it until Toxic faints it. Gligar and Misdreavus both OHKO and outspeed it (Misdreavus needs a light breeze on Meditite, since Shadow Ball does 95%, on average), but can't switch in unless it is an attack they are immune to.

Life Orb: Slightly more dangerous, although the same method works, only I can't switch to Mienfoo this time, and Surf could come in more handy. Gligar has an easier time, but hates getting Bullet Punched. Misdreavus always OHKOs now, but also hates Bullet Punch.

Choice Scarf: Trick will screw with Slowpoke, but it can take on all its other moves and Toxic it, Misdreavus is probably my best bet, as it both outspeeds and OHKOs it.

Meowth

Life Orb: Misdreavus, Lileep, or Slowpoke on the Fake Out, then Mienfoo on the U-Turn / Bite. Meditite and Mienfoo both OHKO it with Drain Punch, and Slowpoke can just Slack Off U-Turn and other damage, while Toxic / Surf'ing it to death.

Mienfoo

Eviolite: Annoying as hell, thanks to Regeneration. Slowpoke can Toxic it, but it'll usually get hit by Toxic or Knock Off, or just get hit with Taunt or U-Turn. Meditite 2HKOs with Drain Punch, but usually has to predict whether or not it'll U-Turn. Gligar can switch into all of his moves, although Taunt is sort of annoying, and set up. Thankfully, these versions don't carry HP Ice. My own Mienfoo can Knock Off the Eviolite then Drain Punch it to death. Misdreavus can 2HKO it with Shadow Ball with SR, since most versions don't carry Payback, although it has to watch out for Knock Off.

Choice Scarf: Hi Jump Kick is annoyingly strong, though Slowpoke can handle it and Toxic it back, but has to be wary of Toxic itself. Gligar can't beat it as easily, since it usually carries HP Ice, and my Mienfoo would get 2HKOd by HJK before it can 2HKO it back. Meditite now OHKOs it with Drain Punch, and Misdreavus always 2HKOs.

Life Orb: Same as Scarf, only Gligar can beat it one on one usually and U-Turn hurts Slowpoke a lot more.

Misdreavus

Eviolite Attacker: Explained on my Lileep and Misdreavus sets. Go to Lileep first, set up SR then rotate between Energy Ball and Recover when appropriate. When or if Lileep dies, usually to Nasty Plot variants, go to my Misdreavus to outspeed and revenge with Scarf Shadow Ball. Mienfoo is a failsafe with Payback, but fears Will-o-Wisp, if the other two can't help. Meditite's Bullet Punch and Gligar Speed ties are risky last resorts.

Choice Scarf: Most are Modest Scarf so my Misdreavus outspeeds and OHKOs them, otherwise same as above.

Bulky / Defensive Eviolite: Screw this thing, I hate it. Since my strategy with dealing with Misdreavus usually starts with damaging it slightly, if it switches out SR won't be enough for me to revenge it with my own Misdreavus. The especially dangerous variants are Will-o-Wisp + Nasty Plot, since it will disrupt all three of my Lileep, Misdreavus, and Mienfoo, at least killing 2 of them in the process. I usually take it out with Meditite's Bullet Punch or Mienfoo after the damage is done, however.

Munchlax

Eviolite Attacker: Slowpoke can tank all its hits, it won't like Toxic, but neither would Munchlax. Meditite can do the same, but usually OHKO it back with Drain Punch. Mienfoo can 2HKO with Drain Punch.

Eviolite Rest(Talk): Same as above, but Slowpoke can't Toxic stall it now.

Nosepass

(Sandstorm) Eviolite: Ok this thing is almost NEVER seen, except when people were testing sets for the analysis, but Slowpoke and Lileep can handle it well, while it usually can't do anything back, besides the rare Toxic. I have not seen a ResTalk variant, but if I do, Meditite, Mienfoo, and Gligar can all handle it as well, they just have to watch out for Thunder Wave and Ice attacks, respectively.

Omanyte

Shell Smash Eviolite: See Clamperl, it's just weak to Fighting now.

Swift Swim Life Orb: Lileep grapes it in the face. Misdreavus usually outspeeds or ties with it then Thunderbolts for the OHKO.

Pawniard

Life Orb: Meditite tanks any non +2 hit and OHKOs with Drain Punch, same with Mienfoo who outspeeds it and resists Sucker Punch. Gligar hates playing Sucker Punch mind games with Substitute, but will if it has to, as it OHKOs with Earthquake. Slowpoke can actually hand it if it lacks Night Slash, but also has to play Sucker Punch mind games. If it gets too out of hand, Misdreavus can Trick it a scarf, then my other Pokemon will handle it from there.

Eviolite: Same as above, but less powerful. Meditite can now live one +2 hit.

Choice Scarf: Pretty annoying, but handled similar to the previous two, although Gligar should be more cautious, and Mienfoo can't outspeed it now.

Ponyta

Life Orb: Slowpoke gets 2HKOd by Wild Charge, but can tank any other hit and OHKO it back with Surf. Meditite tanks a hit and OHKOs it back with Drain Punch after recoil damage, which it would always have. Gligar speed ties for a OHKO on it, if necessary.

Eviolite: Same as above, only Slowpoke handles it better since Wild Charge won't 2HKO, but Surf will. Meditite no longer OHKOs with Drain Punch after recoil, but does with SR and recoil. Gligar speed ties for the OHKO again.

Porygon

Eviolite: Very annoying, usually a charge beam set. Slowpoke can Toxic, then Lileep can Toxic Stall it even with Ice Beam, as long as it doesn't switch into it. Meditite and Mienfoo both outspeed, tank a hit, and both OHKO or 2HKO it back. Misdreavus can Trick it a scarf.

Choice Scarf: Sometimes has Shadow Ball, so it is a bit dangerous for Meditite, but otherwise same as above, except the Trick part. Slowpoke and Lileep have a bit easier time with it.

Choice Specs: This is the most dangerous variant, since the attacks have the power to nearly OHKO-2HKO all of my Pokemon, with the right move, but smart switching and guessing can beat it. Otherwise, KO it the same way as above, except for the Trick part.

Scraggy

Dragon Dance Eviolite: Annoying as shit, but I described the procedure in Mienfoo and Meditite's set descriptions. Baiscally go to Mienfoo on the DD, Knock Off or Drain Punch depending on what I'd think they would do, Knock Off is safer though, then Drain Punch it to death or switch out, then switch to something again to OHKO it or Trick it a Scarf if it gets too out of hand.

Choice Scarf: Annoying bastard, but mostly handled the same way. It'll 2HKO and outspeed Mienfoo and sometimes catches me off guard, killing my Mienfoo that way. Meditite eats it for breakfast, however, and Gligar can tank any move not named Ice Punch, from it.

Bulk Up Eviolite: Mienfoo can probably handle it, but Meditite is more suited for this guy. Gligar can revenge it if needed.

Shellder

Shell Smash Eviolite: A +2 Rock Blast won't 2HKO Slowpoke on average, although it has a much higher Crit chance thanks to it being a 5 Hit attack, and Slowpoke can only 3HKO with Surf, while it can Shell Smash more to 2-OHKO Slowpoke. Misdreavus with Scarf Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball is my best bet, although Jolly +2 Max Speed will tie with me, and Ice Shard hurts a bit. Meditite can't OHKO with ThunderPunch, unless it underspeeds it during the speed tie, or if they have Jolly. Mienfoo can Taunt it before it Shell Smashes, but doesn't like eating Icicle Spears

Shelmet

Entry Hazards Eviolite: Gligar sets up on it and grapes it in the face. Lileep and Slowpoke both have Fire attacks, but have to watch out for Bug Buzz. Mienfoo can Taunt it then Drain Punch it to death, although it would take a long time.

Slowpoke

Physical Wall Eviolite: Annoying, especially with Regeneration, but Meditite will 2HKO with ThunderPunch, which is cool since TPunch usage has gone down, making it more "surprising". However, I usually have to catch it on the switch in, otherwise it would usually just Toxic me, switch and Regenerate, then it can come back later to Toxic Stall me. Misdreavus can Trick it or 2HKO it with Shadow Ball, while it can't do much back, except maybe Thunderwave. Mienfoo can Taunt and Knock Off it to make it easier for my other Pokemon to kill it, but has to watch out for Psychic. If SR is up, Gligar will OHKO it with +2 FG Acrobatics and can tank a Scald at full HP, but Burn status would suck.

Calm Mind Eviolite: Same as above, only Misdreavus can't switch in on a Calm Mind and 2HKO it, but its usually not going to be sweeping my team anytime soon.

Snover

Choice Scarf: Gives my team a bit of trouble, but it's pretty manageable. I switch in Slowpoke on the predicted Blizzard, and has Fire Blast to catch it on the switch in or tank a Giga Drain, if one on one. Lileep can tank a Blizzard, which surprisingly does 18/26 damage on average, and OHKO it with HP Fire. Meditite and Mienfoo both tank a Blizzard and OHKO back with Drain Punch, or with Bullet Punch when below 69-60%. Misdreavus outspeeds and 2HKOs with Shadow Ball, and can tank a Blizzard.

Eviolite: THIS ONE'S THE WORST. Stupid bluffing ass tree, I will usually never know its not Scarf until its too late, since it 2HKOs Slowpoke with Blizzard + Giga Drain + SR, on average. It can take on Misdreavus, as I won't 2HKO it without SR. Meditite and Mienfoo both outspeed and take it out with Drain Punch, but I might lose something before then.

Life Orb: Same as Eviolite, but once I see the Life Orb, I just have to play smart with the switches, trying to get my Mienfoo or Meditite in on a non-Blizzard, then usually tank the Ice Shard and OHKO it back.

Staryu

Eviolite Attacker: Lileep handles it like a god, although Ice Beam does 3HKOs Lileep can usually threaten it out or Recover it off, Energy Ball 2HKOs. Meditite will 2HKO with Drain Punch, or OHKO with ThunderPunch. Misdreavus can tank a hit and 2HKO with Thunderbolt.

Life Orb: Same as above, only Meditite and Misdreavus have to watch out as Hydro Pump does 16/21 damage to Meditite and 19/23 damage to Misdreavus, both on average. Lileep still handles it very well, but can't switch into an Ice Beam with SR up, as it would get 2HKOd on average.

Eviolite Bulky: This set is basically Scald, Thunderbolt, Recover, and Status or Rapid Spin. Lileep handles the crap out of it, Meditite has to watch out for Scald burn, but also handles it. Misdreavus hates Thunder Wave, but can 2HKO it with Thunderbolt still. Good thing this Staryu is weak though, since Slowpoke can even Toxic Stall it one on one, Thunderbolt only does 44% on it.

Stunky

Eviolite: It is the ultimate Misdreavus killer, and lives up to its name versus my Misdreavus, unfortunately. Obviously, Misdreavus isn't a counter. Gligar can OHKO with Earthquake, but Sucker Punch is pretty strong and annoying. Meditite has to watch out for Explosion, but can always 2HKO with Drain Punch, or Drain Punch + Bullet Punch + SR on average. Mienfoo can Knock Off its Eviolite then 2HKO with Drain Punch, but has to watch out for Explosion as well. Thankfully, Explosion won't OHKO either Mienfoo or Meditite at full HP, and Crunch / Sucker Punch doesn't do too much to either of them. However, Stunky usually never switches in on anything other than Misdreavus, so I usually only get to kill it after it gets its horrid job done. It also fucks with my Slowpoke, this bitch.

Choice Scarf: Same as above, but Meditite will now always OHKO with Drain Punch + SR and Mienfoo doesn't need to Knock Off to 2HKO.

Lum Berry: Same as above, the least threatening, has the weakened bulk of Scarf, but no speed boost, while the Lum Berry doesn't affect my Pokes at all.

Taillow

Toxic / Flame Orb Guts: Slowpoke easily switches in since it usually Protects to activate the Orb and if it doesn't the attack is weak enough to not be 2HKOd by the corresponding hit, while it can take it out with Surf or just Slack Off until it dies. Misdreavus can outspeed and OHKO with Thunderbolt. Gligar will speed tie if necessary. Meditite can Bullet Punch when its low enough, which is at 47-42% or lower. Thankfully, it can't use Substitute since that would make it die so fast, it would faint before I laid a finger on it.

Tentacool

Toxic Spikes (+ Knock Off) Eviolite / Oran Berry: Meditite can OHKO it with ThunderPunch + SR on average, Gligar OHKOs it on average without SR, but both have to watch out for Scald, and Knock off is annoying. Mienfoo can Taunt it if it switches into him, to prevent Toxic Spikes, but can't do much back, and hates Scald. Misdreavus can 2HKO it with Thunderbolt + SR, but not without since it has 20 special defense before Eviolite.

Timburr

Guts Eviolite: Slowpoke handles this easily, alternating between Surf and Slack Off, or Toxic if I started out at full HP. Gligar can set up on it and OHKO with Acrobatics, while Timburr can only attack back with Payback. Meditite also takes it on, as none of its moves can really damage it well enough before getting Drain Punched to death. Toxic is a bit annoying though.

Toxic / Flame Orb Guts: This thing is much more easily Toxic / Burn stalled by Slowpoke and taken on by Meditite, but it hurts Gligar a bit more if it has Stone Edge.

Wynaut

Oran Berry: It traps and kills Meditite, which is annoying, while it can also outspeed and Encore + Mirror Coat Lileep and Slowpoke to death. Mienfoo has to play around with it using Taunt, then waiting till it stops using Counter for some turns, to guess when to chip off pieces of its health, until it dies. Misdreavus with OHKO it with Shadow Ball + SR, but can kill it when Misdreavus on any other move, other than Trick. Gligar can just Substitute or Swords Dance to escape being Counter'd, or Acrobatics it to death on Encore, or if its +2. Destiny Bond could be dangerous, however.

Eviolite: Same as above, but Counter / Mirror Coat does less now, allowing Meditite to possibly KO it without dying first. However, it can now revenge Misdreavus when its on Shadow Ball even with SR damage.

Choice Scarf: Same as above, only slightly more retarded. It can speed tie with Gligar and Destiny Bond, and Encore Mienfoo before I can Taunt it.

Weather

Hail: There usually aren't any full Hail teams in LC, more just teams with Snover on them. But I can still deal with Blizzard spam if needed, Meditite and Mienfoo can tank one and OHKO the Ice-Type back. Although, Lileep would have slightly more trouble with Blizzard, it's extra HP point insures Staryu's and Chinchou's Blizzard won't 2HKO it at full HP, so it can tank 2 Blizzards at full HP, and Recover off the damage until Blizzard runs out of PP, since it only has 8. It's mostly just a manner of playing around attacks using Slowpoke as my only Ice-type resistor, but at least it has bulk and Regeneration.

Rain Dance: Rain Dance, however, is really manhandled by Lileep, but can still be dangerous as hell. Usually nothing on a Rain team that abuses the rain is strong enough to OHKO Lileep, so it can likely OHKO-2HKO them back with Energy Ball and Recover off any damage dealt to Lileep. Switching between things like Mienfoo, Lileep, an Slowpoke, make it so I can stall out the Rain turns then smash them in the face with Meditite and stuff. Misdreavus can even outspeed many of the 13 Speed Swift Swimmers and tie with 14 Speed ones, while it can OHKO most of them with Thunderbolt.

Sandstorm: This is in the same group as Hail, only it has recently gotten extremely annoying due to Acrobatics Sand Veil Gligar. Usually, I just need to deal with him, then the rest are easy pickings. It's mostly normal play and you can look up specific Pokemon like Lileep up above.

Sunny Day: Here is the big daddy of weather vs. me, and although it is pretty much non-existent after the Vulpix ban, it could pop up one day and beat the crap out of me. For anyone who has played pre-Vulpix ban, knows how deadly Sun can be if you're not prepared for it with at least a couple Checks/Counters, but I at least have some ways to deal with them and I have the ability to stall out the Sun now. Lileep will usually be able to tank all hits from Chlorophyll sweepers and 2HKOs Eviolite Petilil with HP Fire + SR, and 2HKOs any other Chlorophyll sweeper with any less bulk, while it fails to get 2HKOd by anything with LO and 16 Special attack, and less. Unfortunately, things like Oddish can and will 2HKO Lileep with LO Max Neutral Natured SolarBeam, doing an average of 13/26 damage, and with no Grass resists or weather changers, this means I have a huge weakness to being swept by a Chlorophyl LO'er. Misdreavus can't even revenge it well enough, since Shadow Ball will fail to do enough damage to KO it, more often than not. In order to prevent a sweep, I have to fight HARD in order to stop my opponent from setting up Sunny Day. Thankfully, there are no 20 Speed Pokemon that are common Sunny Day set uppers, so I have to utilize Misdreavus and Mienfoo to stop Sunny Day users, like Gligar and Meowth, or hope they don't have a strong LO'er, like Bellsprout or Oddish. Not only that, but Slowpoke would be my only Fire resist to powerful Pokemon, such as Houndour, and Slowpoke would be quickly KOd by a Dark type attack next turn, if I were to use him to counter them. Smart switching and extremely good prediction is what would be needed to win, but a competent Sunny Day user would come out on top, more often than not. Thankfully, they aren't common.

I recommend using Roost over Swords Dance on Gligar. That pretty much guarantees a nice, long shit on Missy as well as Sucker Punch Stunky. Against a good player, you're never going to get the chance to set up both Substitute and Swords Dance.

Also, Flamethrower does the same amount of damage to Ferroseed as Fire Blast. I recommend using it due to its higher accuracy.

edit: also don't forget to use the pro threatlist I made

Flamethrower is cool, I remember raging when Fire Blast missed that one time, unfortunately, it misses out on ohkos for some Steel-Types, like Pawniard, and that's all I can think of atm (I just did a calc). So I really can't do that.

Roost is cool and all, but I need a sweeper, and what you said about not getting up Substitute and Swords on a good player is not exactly true, I've done it before. Though, SD and Sub are more use this for one team, and use this for another kind of deal. Roost wouldn't exactly help me too much, since I can't take hits as well as with Eviolite anyway. Even though I've had moments where I missed Roost, I'd rather be attacking.

Thanks for the suggestions though :).

Also, I will update the prolist into here :D!

Also why Payback on Mienfoo? It really only hurts Missy, who, if running WoW screws you over anyway. You can't really afford to scout for WoW either since no one on your team really appreciates it. I suggest running U-turn or Fake Out or something over it.

That's pretty much the reason to run Payback on Mienfoo. Lileep can take a WoW, although it won't really appreciate it, it's usually my go to Pokemon for Misdreavus, for the procedure I explained in my Choice Scarf Misdreavus's info. Mienfoo is there for when I'm in a bind and need to have Mienfoo take down Misdreavus for whatever reason, as well as assuring I'm not set up bait for Ghost-Types. I'm not sure how much Fake Out or U-turn would even help, but I'll give them a shot I suppose.

Run Eviolite Gligar, it takes 65% from houndour's life orb fire blast and roosts it off while scaring it out. You currently have nothing that isn't ohkoed by houndour's stabs (lileep is 2hkoed by fire blast + dark pulse on average without sr, houndour can actually ohko after sr damage if it switched into a hp fire).

Yeah, there's a reason why people run eviolite gligar, it's a bulky bitch that you can't kill.

lileep + poke + bulky fighter (i like to use spd timburr) is probably the best all around defensive core in lc atm, so the defensive backbone of this team is pretty solid. i do see you having trouble with strong special attackers such as misdreavus, snover and houndour though, as nothing can really switch into them. i have a simple fix that would help with this, but it would take away a big bulk of your offense, that being acroglig. i know you probably enjoy fucking shit up with it, but i feel that it doesn't bring much to the team other than that, thus making it easily replaceable. i'd like to suggest an eviolite houndour of your own to help remedy the previously mentioned threats. it takes care of all your misdreavus problems, especially the bulky variants, switches into opposing houndour just as easily, and is a great counter to snover as long as you don't switch into hp fighting / ground. here's the set if you want to try it (c/p'd from my team heh)...

Houndour (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 116 Atk / 116 SAtk / 36 SDef / 236 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Pursuit
- Sucker Punch
- Fire Blast
- Dark Pulse / Hidden Power [Fighting]
the ev's allow for 14 atk and 16 spa, which is a good even split from what ive found, then the rest is in speed and 36 go into spd to give you an eviolite number. pursuit, fire blast, and sucker punch are pretty self explanatory, as they're the bread and butter of any dour set. the last slot is up to you. dark pulse gives you a more reliabe dark STAB to hit slowpoke and frillish with, while hp fight lets you counter opposing houndour easier.

hope that helped a bit. overall, a great team. good luck with it!

AL AND HIS TEAM ARE EASY AS HELL TO BEAT CUZ HE'S NOOOOOOOOOOB /trollmodeoff

Cool team (it looks EXTREMELY SIMILAR to mine). I think every threat is well covered, besides Houndour (who kills every team anyways). I just think you should use u-turn on mienfoo, preferably over payback since you shouldn't be relying on him to beat misdreavus since she has WoW.

Lileep should have stockpile instead of HP as slow can cover the steels (which are mostly physical) and wall. The stock will allow you to take some physical hits as well which us helpful. Meditite should have life orb as the evolite seems pointless on a pokemon that can recover health and the extra damage can help take down more pokemon. Still this is a great team and doesn't have major threats.

On a metagame where fighters are every where, I don't think it's a cool idea to use stockpile with a fight-weak poke. Besides, Lileep is an utility counter, not a slow sweeper.

On a previous version of this team, I originally had a Toxic Staller Gligar that I had used in the previous Drought round and had used to much success. However, it just isn't that good for this round since fighters have taken center stage once again, and with the prevalence of things, such as Ice Punch Meditite / Scraggy and Toxic Mienfoo, it just wasn't pulling its weight as a solid check to those Pokemon. Aerial Ace doesn't OHKO, in other words. Acrobatics Gligar still beats Houndour, although it can't switch into it, and it gives me a lot of offensive momentum needed for this team to work. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I tested out Houndour and found myself just not putting enough pressure on other teams and being overwhelmed. It's not like I've had that huge of a problem with the three Pokemon you mentioned anyway, as I have many checks for all of them. Like you said, Gligar is a big bulk of my offensive and helps me keeps pressure on the opponent, when used with my relatively bulky and slowish teammates. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I tried U-Turn and liked it, but recently I saw a couple double Ghost teams and got sadly overwhelmed thanks to my lack of Ghost counters after Lileep and Misdreavus were easily disposed of after weakening and Stunky use. Mienfoo's payback is really essential as a fail safe against these teams and rampant Misdreavuses, should they also have Scarf or Lileep and Misdreavus are both dead or too low on HP. However, I occasionally use U-Turn on a split version of this team now, thanks Blue_Star.

Meditite should have life orb as the evolite seems pointless on a pokemon that can recover health and the extra damage can help take down more pokemon. Still this is a great team and doesn't have major threats.
Hidden Power Fire is a little more for more than just Steel-types as it rounds out my coverage and gives me something to hit stuff, such as Cottonee, which Slowpoke simply can't handle on its own. Stockpile wouldn't help me as much anyway, with the prevalence of Toxic and Fighting-types, along with the lack of ability to really do much after Stockpile'ing up.

While Drain Punch may restore my health, Eviolite is essential for taking hits to even throw a Drain Punch in the first place. I also need it for the many other things explained in the Set description. Life Orb doesn't really give me any more significant KOs than Eviolite does anyway.

Thanks for the rates everyone :).
