The "Abominable" Pokemon Team

Haha get it? Abominable, Abomasnow, Hail team? :naughty:
Anyway, this is my first hail team that I've ever made. Please Enjoy!
Oh yeah, ??? means I'm not sure.

Abomasnow @ Leftovers?
Role: Lead
Ability: Snow Warning
232 Spd/136 atk/136 SpAtk
Hardy
- Blizzard
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Wood Hammer

Abomasnow, the heart of all Hail Teams. I wanted abomasnow as my lead because now only does it automatically start hail when it is sent out, but I wanted to make abomasnow be able to be a formidable opponent too. Because Ice is only resisted by some things, like fire and steel, I taught it focus punch to deal with Steel types. I have other pokemon to deal with fire types.

Mamoswine @ ???
Role: Physical Sweeper
Ability: Snow Cloak
252 Atk/200 spd/56 SpAtk
Lonely
- Earthquake
- Blizzard
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

Mamoswine: My physical sweeper. The EVs are pretty self explanatory for the most part. I gave him the 56 in special attack so that the 100% accuracy blizzard would do some more damage. That, plus stab, makes a pretty powerful blizzard.

472.gif

Gliscor @ Quick Claw
Ability: Sand Veil
252 Atk/252 Spd/4 def
Docile
- Earthquake
- ???
- Stone Edge
- Arial Ace

Gliscor is my check for fire and steel types with earthquake. It takes care of heatran with earthquake and charizard with stone edge. Tt is also a sweeper and can take care of bug or flying types that mess with abomasnow. Gliscor is a really fast pokemon with the EVs and the quick claw.

Walrein @ Leftovers
Ice Body
220 Hp/252 def/36 spd
Naughty
- Protect
- Substitute
- Blizzard
- Toxic

My staller/annoyer. He is good for damaging walls and pokemon with high HP with toxic. He can use the protect-substitute-toxic-blizzard combo for a long time. That combined with ice body and leftovers can keep Walrein alive for a long time.

Machamp @??
No Guard
252 Hp/252 Atk/4 spe
Lonely
- DynamicPunch
- Toxic
- Stone Edge
- Seismic Toss

Machamp is a pokemon that I have as an all around physical sweeper. He is good in particular with steel types, but can wipe out alot with his high attack and 100% accuracy dynamicpunch. He also has high hp and can take some hits. Also has Toxic for some more challenging opponents.

Jellicent @ Leftovers
252 HP/252 SpAtk
Impish
- Psychic
- Surf
- Blizzard
- Toxic

Last but not least, Jellicent, my bulky water type who can take out some of the worst threats to hail teams, and also sweep with psychic, surf, and blizzard. Can also use toxic to maim foes.

Last Notes:
I am thinking about switching on of my pokemon with glaceon, but I'm not sure.

i made some changes, try this:

Abomasnow @ Leftovers
Role: Lead
Ability: Snow Warning
252 Spd/252 atk/4Hp
adamant
- leech seed
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Wood Hammer

473.gif

Mamoswine @ Role: Physical Sweeper
Ability: Snow Cloak
252 Atk/200 spd/56 SpAtk
Lonely
- Earthquake
- Blizzard
- Stone Edge (try icicle crash or ice shard here)
- Superpower

472.gif

Gliscor @ Toxic orb (swap this guy with sweeper glaceon, or rapidspin/toxic spike overcoat forretress)
Ability: toxic heal
252 Atk/252 Spd/4 def
Impish
- Earthquake
- u-turn
- Stone Edge
- Sub or elemental fang
365.gif

Walrein @ Leftovers
Ice Body
220 Hp/252 def/36 spd
Bold
- Protect
- Substitute
- Blizzard
- Toxic

068.gif

Machamp @ Quick claw or leftovers
No Guard
252 Hp/252 Atk/4 spe
Adamant
- DynamicPunch
- Bullet punch
- stone edge
-protect (helps scout)
593f.gif

Jellicent @ Leftovers
252 HP/252 SpAtk
modest
- Psychic (try shadow ball to here)
- Surf
- Blizzard
- recover (if you get a toxic spiker, it would help free your moveset, so i added recover)
Last Notes:
I am thinking about switching on of my pokemon with glaceon, but I'm not sure

Try sweeper choice spec or scarf modest blizzard glaceon. you may want to add overcoat forretress with rapid spin to get rid of stealth rocks that ruin your team. toxic spikes also cause problems

Look at what the above said, why are you running Psychic on jellicent? WHY?
You said mamo's role was a phys sweeper yet you run blizzard. Explain! BOYO!
Quick claw is banned from standard, take that off machamp.

Ok, thanks for the advice. How exactly do you use a sub-seeder abomasnow?

gives you free time to use leech seed to heal your health and allow yourself to use substitute more often since there is the threat of dual chop running around which breaks subtitutes

if you dont mind running under the DW tier then i find that a good replacement is replacing stallrein with regice

Exact same moveset, same item, same evs, same nature, same ability. The only two differences are these:

Walerin is water/ice where regice is just ice

walrein in this set has 416 hp,306 def, 225 sdef WHERE
Regice in this set has 356 hp, 328 def, 445 sdef

You lose 60 hp to gain 22 def, and 220 sdef. Pretty good deal to me.

I see a couple of problems.

- Abomasnow is missing 4 EVs, probably move them to its Atk. While it's EV spread doesn't make much sense. Try using the standard EV spread of 164 Atk / 116 SAtk / 228 Spd for mixed Abomasnows. And make it HASTY nature.

- Your Mamoswine is lacking an item, and it seems to be a physical attacker. Best give it Life Orb to boost it's power and not get stuck to one move. And make it ADAMANT nature.

- Your Gliscor set is pretty absurd. Try the standard Gliscor set:

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb -- Poison Heal
Nature: Impish - EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Ice Fang

- You Walrein should be BOLD nature.

- Machamp should be ADAMANT nature. Instead of Seismic Toss, give it Ice Punch so Gliscors don't easily wall you. Replace Toxic for Bullet Punch so you have some sort of priority move for fragile sweepers like Gengar, which your team has problems with.

- Jellicent doesn't need all those SpAtk EVs. Its standard set is much more threatening:

Jellicent @ Leftovers -- Water Absorb
Nature: Bold - EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spd
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt
- Scald

Try it out.

Okay, I've made some changes to your team. Changes are in bold.

460.gif

Abomasnow @ Leftovers
Role: Lead
Ability: Snow Warning
252 HP, 4 Def, 252 SpD More bulk; this is standard SubSeed Abomasnow.
Sassy (-Spe, +SpD) Never use natures that don't increase or decrease stats. SubSeed Abomasnow doesn't need speed.
- Leech Seed For SubSeed
- Substitute
- Blizzard You don't need Focus Punch. If you want a SubPuncher, use a fighting type who gets STAB.
- Wood Hammer

473.gif

Mamoswine @ Choice Band If you want a physical sweeper, CB is great.
Role: Physical Sweeper
Ability: Snow Cloak
252 Atk, 4 Def, 252 Spe More attack, and more speed.
Jolly (+Spe, -SpA) Mamoswine has a pathetic base 70 SpA, and a decent-ish 80 Base Speed that can be utilized. With this EV Spread and nature, you outspeed threats like Adamant Lucario (though it's not too big this metagame).
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard Brings priority, which helps overcome Mamoswine's middling speed. Note that though Blizzard has 3 times more base power than Ice Shard, a Blizzard from the Mamoswine you had before is only 1.02 times more powerful than an Ice Shard from this Mamoswine, and Ice Shard has priority.
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

472.gif

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb Activates Poison Heal: it heals more than leftovers, and protects from status. Also, most people disapprove of hax items like Quick Claw.
Ability: Poison Heal Why are you using Sand Veil on a Hail team?
252 HP, 236 Def, 20 Spe Even if you invest in SpD, Gliscor won't be taking any Water/Ice attacks anytime soon. This is the Iconicscor: it Taunts, boosts with SD, and does nice damage to the opposing team. It is a great check for powerful physical threats like Conkeldurr, who destroys your team otherwise.
Impish
- Swords Dance
- Taunt
- Earthquake
- Facade/Ice Fang

365.gif

Walrein @ Leftovers
Ice Body
220 HP/252 Def/36 SpD
Bold (+Def, -Atk) LOL bolded Bold. Bold nature because you need defense, and you don't need attack.
- Protect
- Substitute
- Blizzard
- Toxic

068.gif

Machamp @ Leftovers For healing.
No Guard
128 HP/252 Atk/128 Spe Speed EVs to outspeed 4 Spe Skarmorys.
Adamant (+Atk, -SpA) You don't need SpA on a Machamp.
- DynamicPunch
- Substitute Toxic won't be helping Machamp, honestly. Substitute eases prediction, helps against faster opponents, and blocks status.
- Stone Edge
- Payback Payback is there to hit ghosts hard as they break your sub. Seismic Toss is absolutely useless on Machamp; your other moves will hit much harder.

593f.gif

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Water Absorb Not Cursed Body. Water Absorb is more useful, especially since you have Gliscor.
248 HP, 216 Def, 44 Spe Don't try to sweep with Jellicent. This spread gives more bulk, and a faster Taunt in case Gliscor goes down.
Bold (+Def, -Atk) Why were you using Impish? It decreases Special Attack.
- Recover You NEED recovery. Psychic is absolutely useless on Jellicent. Don't try to sweep with it: if you want an offensive bulky water, you're better off using Suicune.
- Scald To burn physical attackers. Jellicent has better special bulk than physical.
- Blizzard
- Taunt

Good luck with your team!
