Reuniclus @ Flame Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Trick
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Recover / HP Fire

Lets Reuniclus cripple physical attacker switch-ins such as Scizor and Tyranitar whilst also protecting it from Sleep status. It can also make pretty good use of any item it gets, with Leftovers and Life Orb providing obvious benefits. Eviolite users like Chansey are severely punished, and even if Reuniclus gets a Choice Band, a burned itemless Scizor will likely U-Turn out, letting you Trick the Choice Band onto something else on their team, crippling two pokémon at once.

How about...
Donphan @ ???
Level 25 + Sturdy + whatever nature
No EVs needed, preferable 0 IVs in everything
Endeavor
Ice Shard

Simple, bring in with Lv. 50, let the other Poke go first, and then Endeavor, then Ice Shard 'em. Note that priority and multi-hit moves doom Donphan.

And any form of entry hazards as well. Probopass and Aron do this far better though the priority thing is good. Does phanphy get sturdy?

When I initially saw Reuniclus's movepool this was the set that came to my mind. So much so that I went and painstakingly bred it in-game (back on my Japanese version, before analyses and all that jazz).

The obvious problem is that the both the CM set and the LO set are able to do so much damage faster. And while I adore the Trick Orb business, the real weakness of it is that you can only do it once. So when Ttar switches in and gets the Burn, it leaves you wide open to Scizor. Or some similar situation.

I want this set to work, don't get me wrong, I just feel it's not really suitable for full-on stallish tactics and lacks the power of the typical sweeper Reuniclus.

Dusknoir @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/ 44 Atk/ 104 Def/ 108 SpD
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)

-Shadow Sneak
-Will-O-Wisp
-Pain Split
-Trick

WTF!! Choice Band Dusknoir!! Yes, indeed Choice Band Dusknoir. This set takes advantage of Dusknoir's usable Attack stat coupled with it's massive defenses. Here's the Trick (sorry bad pun..).
With its attack stat, Choice Band and Shadow Sneak Dusknoir can inflict some serious damage on many common threats (Latios, Reuniclus, Jellicent, Gengar, and to a lesser extent Latias) who really don't expect a stong move from this Ghost.

But the crux on the set lies on Trick. Dusknoir with its massive defenses can withstand powerful special moves like LO Latios Draco Meteor, Reuniclus Psychic, Gengar Shadow Ball and then take their precious items away leaving them with an useless Choice Band. And this also goes for Jellicent, Skarmory, Ferrothorn, Blissey and Chansey who are severely crippled to do their jobs as walls.
Also like most Ghosts Dusknoir Will-O-Wisps everything in sight crippling things like Excadrill, Salamence, Haxorus, Tyranitar and Scizor and even Ferrothorn if it gets the Choice Band.
As a bonus he is given Pain Split that with his low HP stat nets him a lot of recovery (Especially against things like Blissey and Chansey).

Suicune@Life Orb
-Calm Mind
-Tailwind
-Surf/Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam
32hp/252spa/224spe
Modest(+SpA, -Atk)
Pressure

I've used this to demolish entire OU offensive teams before. First off is the surprise of a +1 speed Suicune. Then there's the power of a Modest Life Orb +1 Sp.Atk stat with STAB Surf/Hydro Pump. But perhaps the best part is the team support. For a few turns every pokemon on your team gets +1 speed and could easily set up and kill. Just an idea.

alternatively you can use.....

245.png

Suicune@Leftovers
-Tailwind
-Scald
-Ice Beam
-Rest
252hp/252def/4spd
Bold(+Def, -Atk)
Pressure

Use this to solely support the team, turn the tables in battle and win! Get as many sweepers as possible that have a decent or below average speed stat and tear stuff up with your speed. ex: Choice Band t-tar ex: Swords Dance Rhyperior ex: Heatran

Dusknoir @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/ 44 Atk/ 104 Def/ 108 SpD
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)

-Shadow Sneak
-Will-O-Wisp
-Pain Split
-Trick

This looks really unexpected and effective. Only flaw I see is that you have a lot of motivation to Trick the Band away as soon as possible or else be locked into something tough. Also, some Dusknoir switch-ins could enjoy a Band. But it still seems pretty great, especially against walls that think they can beat you.

I suppose a partly offensive-minded set could work with Shadow Punch, EQ/elemental punches, but this might be better.

373.png

Salamence @ Leftovers/Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Att/4 Def/ 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage/Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Substitute

Now that garchomp is banned, Salamence can step into his shoes. Very surprising, and allows him to set up on jirachi, blissey, rotom, and much more. really cool with mag support. If using Jolly, use it with LO and wish support, while with Adamant you can use either item.

Abomasnow (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Blizzard
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Giga Drain

perhaps not the most efficient spread for its purpose but it gets the job done when paired with scarfkyru, and hits jellicents, skarms and those types of teams very hard.

this abomasnow makes a mockery of ttar switch-ins, which means you can proceed to set up hail once again and control the weather. this is especially important given hails anti-meta like effects that it has on the current metagame.

i feel that with what this set can offer being taken into consideration, it wouldnt fall off the radar too quickly and is worth using.

Does life orb help scoring some important OHKOs? I mean, Aboma is already defensively weak, taking 25% from SR and having a terrible defensive typing. If you add LO and substitute then you're probably just going be able to switch in once.

its simply a case of damage output with hail in tact. giga drain hits bulky waters switching into blizzards, which you can predict and substitute instead; from there, its game on. yeah its best used with spin support to prevent sr, but thats a different entity altogether that abomasnow cannot help avoid by itself.

C/P from my Fraxure thread:

I've been using Fraxure for a while on the RU tier on PO, and I think it's actually pretty decent in spite of its NFE status!

611.gif

Fraxure @ Eviolite / Nature - Jolly (+Spe -Sp.Atk), Ability - Rivalry
EVs - 4HP / 252Atk / 252 Spe

~ Outrage
~ Dragon Dance
~ Protect
~ Taunt

Righty, Male Fraxure with Rivalry to give a 25% boost considering barely anyone changes the gender on PO and Jolly nature to give it needed speed considering it doesn't exactly need more attack after a Dragon Dance, for example:

After one DD (Positive speed) = 499 Atk, 384 Spe
After one DD (Positive attack) = 549 Atk, 349 Spe

With speed like that, even after a DD, you're likely to get KO'ed, so I went with Jolly. Eviolite because it shouldn't be here without it, 252 Attack because that's why it's here, to strike hard and fast and 252 Speed to actually outspeed before you're KOed.

Outrage is Fraxure's main move, backed up by STAB and Rivalry (if the opponent's Pokemon is male) becomes a 225 (If my calculations are correct, most likely not.) base power move, Dragon Dance to boost its mediocre Speed and bolster its attack, Protect to scout for dangerous moves and Taunt to stop Support Pokemon and various walls.

So, what do you guys think? Accepting constructive criticism.

There is one thing I'd like to note though, it can't switch into everything and anything, but is VERY powerful when it has set up.

I started using this in OU a few days ago, after using the LC version on Gligar for a while. This basically functions as a Rotom-W lure that has the potential to sweep unprepared teams, but obviously Gliscor is pretty slow to sweep most teams. It also makes a great sweeping partner with Excadrill, removing some threats that cause Excadrill some headaches. Copy/Pasted from the post on Gliscor's analysis:

[SET]
name: AcroBat
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Acrobatics
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Substitute
item: Flight Gem
ability: Sand Veil
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Why this set deserves to be on-site:
  • This is a bait and lure set with the potential to sweep, although Gliscor is obviously a bit slow, that has been discovered through the influence of the same set used by its prevo, Gligar, in LC. Credits to masterful for that invention.
  • This should be on-site because, this is an amazing lure and Sand Veil abuse set, the fact that Gliscor currently doesn't have a purely offensive set, and the fact that set has a certain irremovable surprise value, due to the popularity and slight difference in counters in the other sets.
  • An example of abusing the opponent's assumption of another Gliscor set is that most of the Gliscor sets tend to Protect the first turn, in order to activate Toxic Orb. Well with this set, while they switch out or set up, on the presumed Protect, Gliscor can Substitute, then proceed to Swords Dance the next turn.
  • It also lures in several counters for the other defensive sets and OHKOs them back, such as the Rotom-Appliances with Stealth Rock (mostly Rotom-W). I'm told by somebody that nobody has come up with a Rotom-W lure yet, I guess this is one of the first, and even if Rotom-W finds out its a lure set upon the Substitute, a +4 Gliscor can OHKO nearly everything that doesn't resist Acrobatics, and has EQ/FF for the rest.

Additional Comments:
  • Fire Fang, Taunt, and Roost can all go over either Substitute or Earthquake.
  • Fire Fang is good for hitting Bronzong and Skarmory, but unfortunately a +4 Gliscor FF only 2HKOs 252 HP / 228 Def Skarmory around 50% of the time. However, +2 Gliscor FF always 2HKOs the standard Bronzong, while HP Ice will always fail to OHKO Gliscor, even with SR.
  • Taunt helps you set up over Skarmory who try to Whirlwind you and 2HKO them back with a +4 FG Acrobatics + No Item Acrobatics (not sure, but it could OHKO with FG when adding in the Recoil), but Brave Bird will do 30.24% - 36.08% on Gliscor and Taunt isn't of too much use outside of that.
  • Roost is for longevity and stuff, although often times you'll find yourself rather attacking, Sand Veil induced misses could give you more opportunities to Roost. It could also help to set up on Pokemon with fixed damage, such as Blissey or Chansey.
  • Max speed is recommended for tying with neutral max Speed Darmanitan and Kyurem. However, if that is not of a concern, the lowest recommended speed is 272, which is 184 Spe EVs, in order to always outspeed neutral max Speed Rotom-appliance. You can then locate the extra 72 EVs into HP, which gives you a 309, an odd number for Substitutes.
  • To go in depth on how it lures things stuff like Rotom-W, this is how this set works. Switch into something like a Ferrothorn, Blissey, or Forretress setting up, or basically any slower or defensive Pokemon that Gliscor might scare away, Substitute (Sand Veil hax helps) to block Leech Seed or Swords on a weak enough attack or on their switch to a counter, such as Rotom-W. With a Substitute in tact, you can Swords Dance, then go for the over 70% chance of a OHKO with Flight Gem Acrobatics, assuming you have SR. Now 70ish% might look ugly, but it gets better when you factor in the 40.96% chance Rotom-W to hit with Hydro Pump twice in a row (once to break the Substitute), since Hydro Pump is effectively lowered to 64% accuracy. This translates to effectively 12.2% chance of Rotom-W beating you with Hydro Pump, which can significantly be lowered by simply Substituting again to get a, more often than not, Sand Veil aided miss, allowing you to SD again if you want. This is further aided by Garchomp's recent banning, as it has caused Scarf Rotom-W and HP Ice usage to go down.
Teammates & Counters:
  • Tyranitar or Hippowdon is a must for Sand Veil to be activated. Wobbuffet is appreciated, as well as Pokemon that can take on Pokemon who can take on Skarmory and Bronzong, such as Rotom-W. SR is also a big help to get certain OHKOs, such as the Rotom-appliance one.
  • Skarmory can take it on without Taunt, Bronzong without Fire Fang, Porygon2 with Ice Beam, pretty much anything faster than it that has a STAB or SE move, like Surf or Ice Beam, while Gliscor isn't behind a Substitute. Cloyster also manhandles it with Icicle Spears. Not much else can switch in without taking a smackdown from Acrobatics.

These logs are definitely not the best, but they at least show what it's supposed to, and does accomplish.

Also it's a scorpion AND a bat.

I like the idea and the calcs are promising. It's kinda like a mini subchomp. The problem I see is that if you're using gliscor offensively with no way of healing, then you need to have another counter for excadrill or it's going to sweep and there aren't that many to begin with. Still, luring rotom-W definitely makes this worth trying.

Submence
Salamence @ Leftovers
Intimidate
Jolly Nature
4hp/252atk/252spd
-Substitute
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake/Brick Break

When I came up with this set, I figured that if Kingdra can use its bulk to sub DD, then why can't Salamence. After all, Salamence his more physical bulk than Kingdra if Intimidate is taken into account. The set is pretty self exclamatory. One note however is, while Brick Break has unresisted coverage with Dragon Claw, Earthquake is preffered due to superior damage output.

Salamence @ Leftovers/Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Att/4 Def/ 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage/Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Substitute

Now that garchomp is banned, Salamence can step into his shoes. Very surprising, and allows him to set up on jirachi, blissey, rotom, and much more. really cool with mag support. If using Jolly, use it with LO and wish support, while with Adamant you can use either item.

Dandaman, note that it won't be a base 225 move and at 499 attack at the same time. The 1.5x boost from Rivalry doesn't effect both. Other than that, it looks fairly solid to me.

Victini @Choice Scarf
252 HP 252 Speed 4 SpAtk
Timid Nature (+Spe-Atk)
-Final Gambit
-Will-O-Wisp
-Thunder Wave
-Overheat

This set is meant as a check to just about every threat to your team barring 101 base HP pokes and up. If you see a poke you think you'll have problems with via team preview you sent out Victini to eliminate it. The Scarf and Timid nature almsot guarantees (sorry if I misspelt that) that you can be faster than your target. Will-O-Wisp can burn a physical threat if your HP is too low to KO with Final Gambit. Thunder Wave is for fast threats and Overheat is just for dammage if you don't want to use another move.
The biggest problem for this set though is Stealth Rocks, so having a team member with Rapid Spin is a good idea

Here's a pretty cool one I've been using.

494.gif

Name: Creating Twisted Dimesions
Victini @ Life Orb
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave nature (+Atk, -Spe)
- V-create
- Fusion Bolt
- Brick Break
- Trick Room

For this set, first you use Trick Room then you spam V-Creates. Under Trick Room V-Create's speed drop kind of gets a Contrary effect, essentially making Victini faster after each use (in Trick Room). It's recommended you use this set in sun. V-Creates get the obvious STAB boost, but Victini is also partly sheilded from Aqua Jet (which ruins the point of TR). Victini resist Mach Punch and Bullet Punch, so that's not much of an issue. The 2 other moves are for Pokemon that resist or are immune to V-Create. V-Create is so overkill under the so one can take their chances attacking a Pokemon that resist it. Brave nature and 0 spe EV/IVs for max TR Speed. The newly invested HP EVs partly make up for the deffense drops from using V-Create.

I tried this set in beta server today and it tends to surprise opponents
Dusclops @evolite
Bold 0HPIV
252 Def 252spDef 4speed
Mean look
Night shade/seismic toss
Wilowisp/toxic/icy wind
Pain split
If the opponent has a pokemon that must be removed possibly at the risk of dusclops this set can trap it and kill by using pain split to lower it's health then finishing with night shade/seismic toss. Icy wind can be used to lower speed, as a status can negatively effect pain splits recovery ability. It can also support a team by leaving a team member's would be counter too slow or weak to deal with it.

Would Facade not achieve the same things with a Poison Heal Gliscor?
Facade + Toxic Orb is a better Rotom-W lure and killer, but completely loses out on Pokemon like Gengar, who is immune to both to both moves, while you also lose Sand Veil Substitutes. Flight Gem Acrobatics also has the potential to just decimate anything else, such as Slowbro after SR, if you don't have to use it on Rotom-W or something.
