RapStream

Smogon's PO server has been home to me and my rappers for quite some time now, and I figured it was time for an RMT of my favorite team: SANDSTORM!

Teambuilding
I started with My lead, T-tar was chosen because I prefere a good offense to defense, and he can come back in late game to try and do a bit of damage:

I then decided on a Good quick poke that has good bulk and can do some damage, as well as functioning well in the sand:

I liked Scizor for a while and decided that he could befit in as a scouter and a revenge killer:

Gliscor, being the magnificent, buttery beast that he is, soon found a spot as my physical wall and bulky sweeper:

ExcaChomp, a perfect double physical core, speed and power, need I say more?:

I needed a special attacker and who better than Latios?:

Chomp's banning left a hole in my heart, which was filled thanks to a magical genie: special Landorus:

I took out Latios for a while, to test out some other pokemon, so after denying Natt a spot, I came upon the beast hydreigon:

That flopped quickly, and Gyarados was running rampant on my whole team, so I decided on a more defensive approach: this heralded jellicent and the return of Latios:

Now for the team:

Dr. Dre (Tyranitar) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 180 SAtk / 76 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Crunch/pursuit

Bulky Mixed Tar was decided to sport the name of Dr. Dre, a very experienced MC who signed some of the best names in the industry.
Mixed set allows him to take down opposing Glisc in one shot with Ice Beam, Fire Blast takes out Natt and Scizor, Crunch for general STAB power, more specifically to Reuniculus, Pursuit to trap, Superpower takes out opposing tars who get in my way.

Changes considered:
-Scarf or Band

Eminem (Scizor) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Swords Dance
- Roost/Superpower

Bulky little powerful beast who carries the name of one of the largest rappers ever seen, I went for a SD set as the Band just wasn't working for me, max HP for bulk, and I forget what the EVs were engineered to outrun and OHKO, but it was rather important to the team.

none ATM

Lil' Wayne (Gliscor) (M) @ Toxic Orb Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 248 HP / 184 Def / 76 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
- Taunt

LIl' Wayne, the annoying little weasel voiced upstart that seems to get stuck in your head no matter what you do, who doesn't recognise that piercing tone? A healthy mixture of bulk and speed, along with hefty stats and good resistances make SD glisc one of the bulkiest sand sweepers known to man, and an absolute must on any sand team.Ice fang and Earthquake are his coverage moves, taunt stops natt/thorn/other gliscs in their tracks.

Changes considered:
-creeping up speed
-Facade(Testing Phase)

Bay Holla (Latias) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Recover

A very unkown and underappreciated female rapper, Bay Holla took the spot of Royce da 5"9', a Latios who ran an Expert belt set, that just wasn't cutting it. So, now I have a bulky CM Latias, as a fighting resist and ground immunity among a few other advantages, she flies over opposing EQs to save Excadrill and my tar, she takes fire for Scizor, and is just an all around bulky poke. I usually bring her in on a ground move, sub the switch and precede to boost, Mono-Attack scares me as ferro and Skarm wreck her, recover keeps her healthy.

Changes Considered:
-More Sp. Attack
-Another attack

Royce Da5'9" (Latios) (M) @ Expert Belt Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Ice Beam

Royce da 5'9", best known for the up -and-coming album, entitled Bad meets 3vil, his blunt words and fakes are quickly letting him rise up the ranks of the Hip-Hop world. False-Specs set allows him to hit hard and switch moves, while his perfectly engineered-to-troll speed stat of 101 allows him to just outspeed some very dangerous threats, Draco Meteor hits like a boot to a babies head, OHKOing, or crippling some very dangerous threats, BoltBeam and hp [fire] gives him near perfect coverage, while maxing offensive capabilities.

Groupie (Slowbro) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Psychic
- Fire Blast
- Slack Off
Every good rapper needs a groupie, and my old one got fired for excessive facial hair, and frankly, this one does the job a bit better, he is a physical tank, rather than the special one I had in this spot, as most fighting moves going Tar and Excas way are physical ones, and he tanks pretty much any hit that is not SE, so he usually comes in on a predicted SE hit, takes it like a man, then runs away like a welshman, set is fairly self explanatory, Scald for the STAB and burn, Psychic for STAB and taking down any fighting types that my poke ran away from, FB for steels whjo would love this guy to be on the field, SO for healing.

Changes Considered:
None ATM

Groupie (Jellicent) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Scald
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Taunt

Every good rapper needs a groupie, and this guy seems like a perfect fit, great bulk allows him to come in on any of my teams weakneses and take little damage, allowing him to WoW a physical attacker, or recover off the damage, and taunt set-up sweepersand Natt/Thorn/Skarm who come in. Scald to prevent being taunt bait, as well as aid in any stall matches.

BiggieSmalls (Excadrill) (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Frustration

When I say Biggie, you say Smalls, Biggie Smalls, Biggie Smalls, unquestionable talent matches up with Exca's unquestionable force, this thing is the god of weasels, I played with a balloon for a while, then tried out LO and never looked back, you'd be shocked at how often an opponent let me SD up while he spiked, or rocked, or danced himself, only to get completely stomped, EdgeQuake for coverage, X-Scissor for Reuniculus/ghosts/darks who come in looking for a FB OHKO, ain't happening pal.

Changes considered:
Jolly @ ORB

Try running Return on Excadrill over X-Scissor so that you can 2HKO Gliscor after rocks. Also, try Recover or Surf over Ice Beam on Latios, as it doesn't give you any other notable KOes

return seems to be good, but leaves me vulnerable to azelf and uxie, not a problem though. I'll test balloon over LO on exca

I'm going to suggest keeping the Life Orb because the extra power is always useful and you already have Gliscor to handle opposing Excadrill.

Backing up Fried Rhys on his suggestions for the reasons mentioned. You can also try a CM Latias with recovery over Latios, since this would give you a more solid switch-in into Rotom-W. SubCM can work well to protect from Pursuit and shield from status ailments.

I also think Slowbro would be a good choice to try over Jellicent. It still resists Fighting, and has Regenerator in addition to recovery in case you don't have time to heal up. A 3 attacks set would give you a nice secondary check to Conkeldurr and Gliscor while also functioning as a lure to Ferrothorn.

Slowbro (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Psychic
- Fire Blast / Thunder Wave
- Slack Off
Fire Blast hits Skarmory and Ferrothorn to limit opposing entry hazards, but Thunder Wave's paralysis can be useful if you can hit an incoming sweeper on the switch. Slowbro also does pretty well against Sub HP Ice Landorus, which could be problematic if played well.

As for a few minor suggestions, I feel that Superpower is worth a try over Roost. The team overall is pretty offensive, and this lets you set up on Ferrothorn and hit Skarmory harder. You might also want to consider adding 4 or 8 more Speed EVs to Gliscor so you can speed creep opposing Gliscor. Adamant Excadrill should also hold an Air Balloon for safety; use LO if you run Jolly.

Hey I love the fact that your using roost scizor! Works
much better as a bulky bug than with superpower. However I think from
noticing ttar you should run pursuit over crunch bc pursuit is much more useful if you bring ttar in on something that wants to immediately switch. I've seen a lot of battles turn into a game of musical chairs bc no one wants to switch in on a bad situation. But they have no choice if you smack them with stab pursuit!

thanks for the tip on slowbro, It works well, Glisc is getting tested, and works well also, I am now using Adamant w/ balloon, my first set.

Pursuit will be tested, as well as superpower

Oh no no I meant your scizor is fine in my opinion. I mean yes superpower is good for other ttar and ferrothorn but your scizors moveset is solid
