AAAHHHHH!!!! The sun is hot!!!!!

Wassup Smogon community, D-Nite here bringing you an Ubers team for you guys to rate. This team has been floating around the top 140-200 and I can't seem to get it higher. Thus, I need help from the Smogon community to make this an excellent team!

As from the title, you can probably tell that this is a Sun team. These are the members:

I am not going to bore you guys by writing a long script of how I decided to use these 6 since I could explain that while explaining how they work anyway so lets get on to the team right away!

Groudon @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
Whats a Sun team without Groudon?? Everyone knows what Groudon does....set up sun and proceed to destroy! Its EVs are self-explanatory. max HP and Max Def to maximize bulk and 4 Atk EVs so Earthquake and Stone Edge will do a bit more damage. Unless the opponent is using a Rain team, I will usually lead with Groudon. Its strategy is simple. T-Wave the opponent to cripple them and get my rocks up.

Reshiram @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Turboblaze
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Fusion Flare
- Focus Blast
- Blue Flare
Reshiram is a BEAST in the sun. Blue Flare are Fusion Flare's already high base power are boosted even further by the sun. I run Scarf Reshiram to mainly deal with faster threats that Shaymin can't handle well such as other Reshiram. Draco Meteor is there for STAB and Focus Blast is for coverage.

Shaymin-S @ Choice Specs
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Seed Flare
- Earth Power
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power [Ice]
This Pokemon is definetly the best Pokemon on the team! Regular Shaymin is kinda broken in UU, but with improved stats, Skymin is BROKEN in Ubers!
I run Specs mainly for the fact that most threats in Ubers are outsped by Skymin without Scarf, so I used Specs since I felt Life Orb abit too dangerous to use. This is who I turn to against Darkrai leads. The ability to outspeed even Darkrai is incredible, and anyone who used Skymin before knows what I mean. Its moveset, EVs and nature are all standard Skymin so there's not much to explain if you know how Skymin works already.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- Iron Head
- Wish
- U-turn
For anyone who has faced this thing in OU and are thinking to play Ubers to escape HaxRachi, you are dead wrong. Meet SpDef HaxRachi in Ubers! Jirachi has been a huge asset to the team as a special wall and the fact that the most common type in Ubers(Dragon) happens to be resisted by Rachi. Its strategy is obvious. T-Wave and Iron Head your opponent to death. Rachi also serves as the team's wish-passer as NONE of them have recovery and 202 HP Wishes are also nice.

Palkia @ Expert Belt
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Outrage
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Earthquake

You should be wondering by now......this Palkia is missing a Water move! Since this is a Sun team, even if its STAB, running a Water move is pointless. This is a Mixed Palkia that is really easy to use. Draw a Pokemon into the field by pretending Palkia is fully physical/special and when they let their guard down, whack them with whatever move that they will never expect. The EVs are to maximize Palkia's weaker physical attack and the Hasty Nature is to maximize speed while keeping my offenses intact. I also use Hasty since Ubers is mostly special attackers and SpDef is the best stat to have in Ubers for a Pokemon that should be resisting Kyogre's ultimate move: Water Spout.

Mewtwo @ Wise Glasses
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psystrike
- Aura Sphere
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
Meet the Jesus of the Pokemon world, Mewtwo! Mewtwo is just an amazing Pokemon in every way and to make it even more amazing and broken, they gave it a STAB move that renders Blissey useless: Psystrike. Mewtwo's moveset is all-out offensive with Psystrike being the most commonly used move and the other three for coverage. The nature is to maximize speed since many other Mewtwos will be running +Spd natures as well so we can speed tie with them. This Mewtwo is able to eliminate many Pokemon in a go because since the opponent does not notice Life Orb recoil, the opponent assumes that Mewtwo is choiced and switches in a Pokemon that take the move that Mewtwo is "locked" into and Mewtwo just uses another move to surprise and possibly take out multiple Pokemon in 1 shot.

Finally, we have come to the end of the team! Please offer it your best rates and feel free to give suggestions and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Thank you!!!!!!

Woo go Dnite! Love the look of your team but uturn on jirachi! I get the scouting capabilities so I would have suggested body slam but you are running thunderwave. So since this is a sun team is fire punch out of the question? I know this is for ubers but magnezone is still out there with is magnet pull and hidden powe fire so uturn I'm pretty sure can still save rachi but my personal opinion is fire punch to keep the Sun theme going but I like at least that rachi has wish for backup.

Don't know much about Ubers, but I do know that Hidden Power on Resh is pointless. Draco Meteor out damages x2 super effective HP by a lot

really, all Resh need is Blue flare, Draco Meteor, Flamethrower and Dragon Pulse. HP grass is pointless, since it's only 5 BP higher than Dragon Pulse against Kyogre. Not to mention the power of Draco Meteor... Blue Flare is reliable enough, so I honestly wouldnt take it out, since its the best fire move inn the game along with sacred fire

Alright.....tested out the moveset u recommended! Its working pretty well and really destroying opponents much easier and faster. Really using Flamethrower much more unless it won't OHKO and in that case I use Blue Flare.

Still testing out Fire Punch on Rachi.....seems like a good idea so I'll get back to you when I get good/bad results.

Using Shaymin and Jirachi is not good, especially when other opponents can use the sun to increase their damage to your pokemon. No, actually, it will hurt all your pokemon other than Reshiram and Palkia. But Earthquake hurts Reshiram, and Solarbeam does neutral damage to Palkia, unfortunately.

I understand what you mean but Fire moves are barely a problem as long as I play it right. The only Pokemon with Fire STAB are Blaziken and Reshiram, who the team takes really easily. The other Ubers who may carry Flamethrower are easily taken care of by Reshiram and Palkia. Reshiram runs a Scarf to combat these Flamethrower-using Pokemon as well since a Draco Meteor will usually do the job.

You have a huge weakness to Sub/Roost Ho-Oh, he can switch freely into Reshiram and Groudon / Jirachi with some prediction, set up a Substitute from here and tear your team apart.
Extreme Killer Arceus pretty much beats you on his own, your only hope is to Thunder-Wave him with Groudon and pray for multiple parahaxes.

The best way to cover those 2 weaknesses is to use this classic Giratina :

Giratina-A @ Leftovers

248 HP - 248 Def - 8 SDef
Impish

Rest
Sleep Talk
Will-O-Wisp
Dragon Tail

Giratina can outstall Ho-Oh and burn Arceus, it can also block Rapid Spin. I advise you to remove Mewtwo or Skymin (your call).

Please remove Focus Blast from your Scarf Reshiram, the only target is Tyranitar, which is more a free switch to your Impish Groudon than a threat. Instead you can use Hidden Power Rock or Stone Edge to surprise Ho-Oh.

Your Palkia set is wierd. Earthquake has little to no use for Palkia, Heatran is far from being common enough for that, replace it with Spacial Rend or Draco Meteor. Thunder should go over Thunderbolt, even on a Sun team, because your main target is Kyogre and Thunderbolt just doesn't do the job against Lugia and Ho-Oh anyway. I think you should invest in SAtk instead of Atk, but that's up to you.

Good luck with that.

Great team! I would simply suggest putting an item of higher use on Palkia such as a Life Orb or Choice Scarf. (Scarf Palkia is a boss) Life Orb will do wonders on a mix Palkia. I also agree with Koinzell about Palkias EQ. It has plenty of other great moves that work better for it. Also, you may want Thunder in the common event of Kyogre.
