Weather Man
Reuniclus
Nature: quiet
Evs:252 spatk/190hp/66def
Item: life orb
Trait: magic guard
Moveset:
Psyshock
Focus blast
Shadow ball
Trick room
The metagame is full of speedy mons especially with the discovery of jolly terrakion and choice scarf being thrown around. Reuniclus came to mind because he is both something new as well as the beginning to my thought process. The team I've designed needed to tackle both opposing weather teams and abuse slower pokes. Trick room allows me to do just that and worry less about having speed evs. Psyshock is intriguing to me because it deals physical damage. The current metagame has been gearing up with sp def to deal with rain teams hydro pumps and thunders. Being able to catch folks off guard with a physical psychic attack is a sound tactic to me. Shadow ball is for opposing psychic types and especially good if either of the lati twins are around. Focus blast may be standar but I keep it around because I want to knock out ttar and steels that I am really tired of seeing. Reuniclus IMO is eventually going to become the next anti metagame all star, trick room may be the anti metagame move but with psyshock reuniclus has all the tricks to catch teams off guard, including his magic guard ability which does not take allow damage from my hail or his life orb. A pokemon that doesn't take recoil from life orb or my weather counter is a must have to deal with the current metagame.
Abomasnow
Nature: quiet
Evs: 252 spatk/ 184 hp/ 54 atk/ 18 spe
Trait: snow warning
Item: leftovers
Moveset:
Ice shard
Giga drain
Substitute
Blizzard
Now a lot of folks might be a little confused. This isn't a stall team, not a hail team what's he doing here? Well I have looked over a few weather counter mons and for my personal preference I chose abomasnow. My reasoning is abomasnow has terrible speed, and I needed to abuse speed and priority. With trick room operating plus ice shard abomasnow can start fighting back and overcome is faults. With trick room going I can set up substitute and fight against speedy dangers like salamence, haxorus, gliscor, and the like. Blizzard is an instant, auto hail blizzard is too powerful to consider against anything else. Giga drain is the best recovery with leftovers to allow me more subsititutes. I know that with weather wars going on I need to safely end them. Abomasnow is here to disrupt weather and quickly dispatch any dragons, bulky waters, and such that could threaten my sweeps.
Rotom w
Nature: modest
Trait: levitate
Evs: 4 hp/ 252 satk / 252 spd
Item: choice specs
Moveset:
Hydro pump
Voltswitch
Hidden power fire
Trick
Rotom w the washing machine we all know and love. He also is not the fastest mon so I got a little lax with his speed and added more hp. Hydro pump is more than usual but required to take advantge of drizzle teams as well as check ground types and other heatrans just to name a few. I've pondered back and forth between Tbolt and voltswitch but Now I've chosen VS for uturn capability. Hp fire was chosen against ferrothorn who I respect but simply will not allow to touch my team. Trick has now been added along with choice specs to catch bulky mons and sweeper types off guard.
Gliscor:
Nature: impish
Evs: 252 hp/ 180 def/ 76 spe
Trait: poison heal
Item: toxic orb
Moveset:
Taunt
Ice fang
Earthquake
Swords dance
I've added gliscor to have a better excadrill counter. I may mess around with the moveset although he will function great as late game clean up and being able to hold off a lot of tough attacks.
Threats:
Gengar: reuniclus fights mono a mono with this ghost, don't want his speed hitting so trick room first obviously.
Deoxys: depending on it's form it can be pretty dangerous. Good thing dnit and reuniclus will hit hard.
Ferrothorn: heatran burns it.
Excadrill: gliscor can wall it and throw taunt to stop it from setting up.
Dragonite: mixnites seem popular so heatran or abomasnows ice shard can handle some damage.
Scizor: heatran can deal with the bug.
Tyranitar: reuniclus can handle it after trick room.
Magnezone: heatran can come in and not worry about being trapped.
Rotom w: abomasnow can tangle here since it's main attacks don't do much.
Politoed: rotom can zap it or abuse it's drizzle for stab hydro pumps.
Gastrodon: abomasnow works well with giga drain.
Quagsire: same as gastro.
Breloom: with trick room going reuniclus will smack it.
Jirachi: heatran can burn the star.
Starmie: rotom works wonders here.
Ninetales: not much of a threat but it is a weather maker so rotom can drown it.
Terrakion: trick room reuniclus will be my preferred method since they pride themselves on high speed and focus blast will be hilarious.
Gliscor: abomasnow and rotom can trick this bat well.
Blissey/ chansey: could be difficult but Dnites attack mix will leave a dent then reuniclus can finish.
Latios/ latias: dangerous twins but can be shut down since they do run a lot of speed. Reuncilus can shadowball and with sub up abomasnow can blizzard. Won't take on these two without trick room first though.
Zapdos: abomasnow can take electric and hit it's flying type with ice.
Heatran: rotom can wash it away.
Thundurus: dangeros and fast, so trick room and blizzard obviously.*
Volcarona: now gliscor is here and can use ice fang and has the typing to deal with it's attacks.
Conkledurr: reuniclus handles it no problem.
Mienshao: it can try to slip me up with fake out but it's speed won't matter under trick room.
So there's the new team hope you like and will rate! Thanks for reading!
You probably clicked this thread thinking of another weather team, on the contrary however. I've seen nothing but politoed rain, ttar sandbox, ninetails sun. Well I am not one for following the crowd so I present to you my new team to battle the weather wars. Now the team is a little odd but I've done a bit of testing and normally I might have breloom in here but I like being creative as much as I can. The team is meant to not be trick room per say but to take advantage of all the speed from excadrills and terrakions that are changing the game. I also wanted something that could throw weather teams off and showcase reuniclus for the powerhouse he is.

Heatran
Nature: calm
Evs: 252 hp/ 252 sp def/ 4 def
Item: leftovers
Trait: flash fire
Moveset:
Lava plume
Wil o wisp
Stealth rock
Roar
I've gone through many heatran sets and from experience and friendly advice heatran draws out ttar and with earth power I can end him or switch to reuniclus for trick room and focus blast*and halt sandstorm teams. Earth power is for opposing steels like magnezone who would try to trap and fire blast is for ferro the one steel I wouldn't waste earth power on. I use to run hp ice but with abomasnow around dragon pulse is here to fight off the Latis and beat them at their own game. Hp ice is for gliscor who I know inside and out and he has too many new set variations. Heatran is also a target for waters and probably even choice scarf terrakion, being able to lure out threats and beating them just gets me closer to a full sweep.*
Dragonite
Nature: rash
Evs: 42hp/ 252 atk/ 218 spe
Trait: multiscale
Item: leftovers
Moveset:
Dragon dance
dragon claw
Roost
Fire punch
Now updated to be a physical Dnite and be able to break through weather makers and fight sun teams. Having fire punch to help against steels is also welcome.
