what's your biggest pet peeve?
i've never given much thought to this but i'm gonna go with body odour
btw it's also extremely unpleasant when people smell like they showered themselves with a gallon of perfume/cologne/deodorant, subtlety is key folks
what do you find to be the most important quality in a person?
sense of humor
if i can't share a laugh with you, chances are we'll have very little to talk about
(this sounds like i ripped it off a dating proFUCK)
do you plan to live on a tiny pacific island for the rest of your life? where do you want to go
I don't plan on staying in New Zealand all my life and I'd love to end up working either in the U.S., Canada, or England. Given the rapid progress it's making, heading back home to China is not a bad option either.
i know new zealand is pretty small, do you think there would be enough room on it for jimbo.
whale rider gg
rhetoric? i thought you were describing norway
yeah i knew it was one of the those northern european countries, couldn't decide whether it was iceland, norway, or sweden
would you mind posting a voice recording of yourself! that would be neat for every well actually
i've posted karaoke entries isn't that enough?
Would you consider your ethnicity a blessing or a curse?
A blessing. I get away with ignoring strangers if I pretend I don't speak English. Strangers always get a pleasantly surprised look on their faces when they realise I speak perfect English. Plus I'm bilingual, that's a major fucking plus right there, considering Chinese and English are the two languages that dominate most of the world and are widely believed to be the two hardest languages to learn.
What part of China are you/your family from?
hunan province, which is central-southern china
I am not a hipster
:c
word on the street says otherwise
Is this a business decision, or is it personal? 'Cause if it's business I'll go away happily. But if it's personal, I'll go away... but I won't be happy.
It's personal...
what is your daily routine in life?
a mixture of waking up, showering, the three daily meals, class, study, smogon shit, drawing, watching tv episodes online, games, sleeping, naps
pretty boring right
how are the females
still trapped under the glass ceiling
and lastly, what are your opinions on everyone making highly decorated RMTs
i don't go to the RMT forum at all so good for them i guess?
Did you answer any of Rolan's questions?
Also, what happened to TIK's well thread? It was going well (no pun intended) One day it was here, the next, it was gone...
TO THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!! DUH Duh DAAAAA!!!
Is there a specific philosophy or philosophical value that you attempt to live your life by? If so, what is it, and what is it that makes you hold it in such esteem?
What gives you a sense of meaning and/or hope in life?
the pursuit of happiness is an adequate answer to both questions, after all, isn't that everybody's goal really? be honest...
(not talking about the boring ass will smith movie)
Culturally, how much do your Asian heritage and New Zealand environment influence you, and further, what is more important to you and why?
The laidback Kiwi attitude has definitely taken over my sense of humor and my outlook on life, which is to be expected as I spent most of my formative years here, and even my parents have little influence over this; I feel like the only connection I have with my Asian heritage anymore is the food. But it's because that I'm immersed in the New Zealand environment that I must strive to never lose touch with my roots, and that's why I'd place my Asian heritage higher on the order of importance. I plan to go back and visit China much more regularly, so things on that front are looking up.
What are your feelings about war (when is it justified etc.?)
I don't think war is ever justified, and even if you say it is, it doesn't make it right. Even when there's claims of self defense it usually comes to light later that the main motivation was geopolitical gains. The collateral damage that war causes to a nation is simply abhorrent, and I would encourage countries to always always seek the peaceful option before using war as a last resort. With heavy emphasis on last resort.
And what is your stance on the state of the Chinese Government?
the chinese government is kicking ass and taking names, and showing the rest of the world just how brutally efficient a one party government can be when they have their shit together, especially when you compare it to the paralytic democracy that's going on in the US. to be honest i'd much rather have the government owning chunks of big businesses than to have businesses sending over lobbyists to bribe the government. the chinese government has realised that as long as the people are wealthy and well-fed, there's zero chance of a revolution, and i approve. it's a crying shame that there's still blatant propaganda and censorship in the media though, which is something that pisses me off to no end. ugh you guys are so close...
happy days was also based in wisconsin.... think about how great the fonz is
if you had access to a button that gave you a 99% chance to obtain 200,000 dollars each time you pressed it, with a 1% chance of instant death how many times would you press it?
5 times, I'd be plenty happy with a million dollars.
Anyway, you said you're close to the beach? If you are, you're a lucky bastard, and what's your favorite thing to do there?
I love walking along the pier and the beachfront to clear my head.
