Display elemental resistances and weaknesses in the strategy pokedex

I always find myself going to bulbapedia to look at what elements a pokemon is weak to. I guess people better than me have the type information memorized and can figure out the pokemon's weaknesses from looking at the types, but I'm kind of noob and I can't remember whether dragon resists grass or not so I need to look this sort of thing up a lot.

The top 100 probably wouldn't care either way, but a lot of us more casual smogon users would find this information very useful.

It would probably depend on how much of a hassle it would be. If it wouldn't be much hassle, why not, and if it WOULD be a hassle...why would we? It's one of those things you just learn.

And Dragon resists all three starter types and Electric.

EDIT: Oh, I thought you meant in the individual analyses.

If that is what he meant, every good analysis points out the relevant weaknesses to look out for. Show me an analysis for a part Fire-, Bug-, Ice-, or Flying-type that doesn't mention a Stealth Rock weakness. This sort of information is better left assumed or just on a separate page like the ones I linked to.

To clarify I'm saying that I'd like to see a collapsible box like this (expect more compact ideally) on each individual pokemon's strategic pokedex entry:

I definitely see the benefit of including this type of information on individual analysis pages. Weaknesses and resistances are integral to competitive play. New players can use this information when learning about Pokemon and selecting the best choice for their team.

Is it really that hard to check back with www.smogon.com/bw/types ? Even a caual player should have most of these memorized, and for the more obscure ones, it's not that difficult to hit a tab and check the box. There's a link to the types page at the top of every analysis onsite, as well as a link to each type's page. I think we have this covered.

I don't think it's worth implementing because even the newer players are introduced to the competitive aspect after playing the DS games, where they probably have already learned most of the type matchups. Plus if you need to look this up in-battle you can easily use the pokedex in PO's teambuilder; it's practically the thing as the example you posted.

What's wrong with that?

This is another one of those "This would be useful and I wouldn't oppose it-- now go find someone willing to do it." ordeals. Smogon is going through a lot of tech revamps right now; maybe there'll be an easy chance to implement this data into the strategydex. If not, it's not exactly important...

Pretty much what Chou said. Yes, it would have benefit to add it, but just like adding 0 regular attack iv's to every special attacking set in the strategydex to minimize confusion damage, it'd take to much work and not be worth the result.

whenever I build something, I have the Smogon page up for tactics and ideas, and I have the Serebii page up for mov substitutions, if need be. I also (when making a team) have Marriland up to refrence type resistances/weaknesses so I can see who can punch a hole in my team, and adjust accordingly.

Pokemon is a complex game, and you're gonna have to use a LOT of resources to pwn. when I make a team, I've usually got about 10+ tabs open, and I'm constantly checking and revising everything...including the sets I'm looking up in the first place.

Dual-Types is the big one I think. It's just easier to see things at a glance. It's the same reason our simulators keep track of sleep / fainted / used Pokemon / etc. for us instead of us doing it ourselves.

personally I do find with bulbapedia and veekun's dex is that there is so much information, it takes an annoying number of mouseclicks to get to the information I actually want. I'm not opposed to this being added, but this is definitely something to consider. If it was at the bottom I wouldnt mind.
