Whic is a better attacking move for Gastrodon? Scald + Earth Power? Scald + Ice Beam? or Earth Power + Ice Beam?

I just can't pass up the Scald, great burn rate. Earth Power is a good STAB move and allows me to hit other things harder. Ice Beam on the other hand is also a good choice, allowing me to hit Grass type switch-ins.

Depends on the team. If your team has Pokemon like Magnezone, Heatran et cetra countered Earth Power's a waste of your time. If Celebi, Tangrowth and friends are taken care of, what's the use of Ice Beam?
I hope this made sense.

Well, thanks for your advice. I have to admit, that was really stupid of me. How embarrassing. Good point, looks like I'm going for Scald and Ice Beam. Thanks for the help.

In my opinion, there really are no "standard" teams for Rain, Sun, Sand, etc. Each type of team has many options to choose from, although each type does include a particular sweeper, usually things with Sand Rush, Swift Swim, and Chlorophyll. And then you have the Pokemon with the auto-weather abilities, but that's usually as standard as it gets.

Can the effects of the ability CompoundEyes (+30% accuracy) stack with the effects of Wide Lens (+10% accuracy) or Zoom Lens (+20% accuracy, conditional)? If they can stack, then what is the formula for how their effects are calculated? For quick reference, what is the lowest possible accuracy percentage that can be boosted to 100% by employing CompoundEyes and one of these items?

AFAIK yes, they can. Formula is *1.3 and *1.1 or *1.2
Ideally it would be Compoundeyes with Zoom Lens: 1.3*1.2= 1.56 boost, turning 70 accuracy moves into 100 acc (109.2 to be exact) and 50 acc moves into 78 acc. Compoundeyes with Wide Lens provides *1.43 boost, just enough to make 70 acc moves into 100 acc (100.1)
It's such a shame that only usable attacks significantly boosted by this ability are Galvantula's Thunder and Butterfree's Sleep Powder...

I have made a rain team that consistanly loses to other rain teams. Can you help me?
Politoad @ Scarf
MixNite @ Leftovers
Starmie @ LO
Tornadus @ LO
Dugtrio @ Expert Belt
Sawsbuck @ LO

Any suggestions?

What is Sawsbuck doing for your team? You can easily replace it with a scarf-Rotom-w and gain a solid counter to opposing rain teams.

You probably know that half of your team consists of Life Orb user and that you'll get walled by Ferrothorn hard.
Expert Belt on Dugtrio doesn't do a good job, because it's too weak. Usually they have a Focus Sash, in order to get a buffed Reserval, or Choice Band to aquire a bit more power.
Grass moves aren't common in OU so Sawsbuck can go. Rotom-W for more offensive pressure or Ferrothorn for entry hazards can be used.

Otherwise I don't know enough about how your way to play. How exactly you loose to other rain teams?

Ok, I'll try a Scarfed Rotom-W in place of Sawsbuck on that team. Duggie is there in order to take out other weather-starters. The main rain teams that I lose to are the ones that set up their own.

Should I also go down that path with this team?
Tornadus @ Damp Rock
Kingdra @ Specs
Kabutops @ CB
Bronzong @ Damp Rock
Starmie @ LO
MixNite @ Damp rock

Help............

So I have a team that's doing decently well in the simulators, but it has some serious problems that I'd like some help fixing.

Am I correct that making an RMT for it is not the way to go?

Sorry, Gen Emp and Haunter:(. Did not mean to clog up the thread.

On to a serious note: what is the best choice for a Machamp in OU? CB, LO, Lefties, or a Scarf for a surprise kill?

I'd go with Leftovers because a Pokemon with only the decent bulk that Machamp has won't want to be losing HP whenever it attacks. Furthermore, not being locked into a move lets you take advantage of the switches forced by confusion.

Standard set is as such and generally used as an anti-lead:

Machamp @ Lum Berry
Trait: No Guard
EVs: 240 HP / 248 Atk / 16 SpD / 4 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dynamicpunch
- Bullet Punch
- Payback
- Ice Punch / Stone Edge

A Substitute set is also viable.

Machamp @ Leftovers
Trait: No Guard
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Atk / 128 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Dynamicpunch
- Payback
- Stone Edge / Ice Punch

As for the most effective Gliscor set, that depends on how your team is and all. It's hard to say what set is the most effective since that differs from team to team. Look at your team up to now and then look at a set of Gliscor.
Then ask yourself: "Does this set increase the efficiency of my team?"
Or just try them all out, then you should get the one you need eventually.
You might want to search if your question wasn't already answered next time.
Expect maybe if the thread is 50 or so pages.

What's going on I logged into Smogon at my friends house and alot of pokemon had there tiers changed, then I loggged in just now and nothings changed. Any idea what's happening?

Apparently yes, there's a tier shift. Probably something wrong with your computer.

Assuming that my Virizion only purpose is to sweep would a Work Up set with Naive nature, Giga Drain, Close Combat and HP Ice be viable? Any suggested ev spread?
