Dark:While trapped, Im pretty sure no one can use contact moves. Also it sounds like the whirlpool must be used again before it fades to keep up.

Can we rename the Tournament tag to Gyms and apply it to all current Gym Leader matches and future ones? I don't see there being another tourney for a long time and it will make finding Gym matches to spy on much easier for me.

I seem to be unable to find this anywhere. Is it possible for me to stop evolution of a pokemon at full ECs for the purpose of being able to participate in a lower tier in battle hall? So for example, I have a mime jr. that is going to get full ECs when it gets out of a battle. Can I prevent evolution and just keep it as mime jr to get into tier 1 battle hall? Also if I can, would I be able to get 3 MCs from future battles as Mime Jr?

This is written when I'm feeling very groggy from writing a paper so just give me a heads up if above doesn't make sense.

Yes, you may. =]

Any other 'mons that you wish to get a changed nature can be bought, and cost an easy 7 CC. Same with a Hidden Power Change, if you feel the need for it.

In one of my matches, Riolu dodges a 75% accurate Sleep Powder with a 56% chance to avoid. However in the same match, Gravity is in effect.

Do you calculate Gravity on the attack itself before dodge (the resulting hit would be (75*1.67)-56=69%)? Or do you calculate Gravity after the dodge chance (So the resulting hit would be (75-56)*1.67 = ~19%)?

Thanks.

13:34 Objection although i think you could still hit a digging mon with aura sphere if you said "aim down the hole"
13:34 Engineer and the DAT doesn't say anything either
13:34 Objection it just wouldn't hit by default
13:34 Lou http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3955394&postcount=15
13:34 Lou in deck's list:
13:34 Lou "moves that don't have an accuracy check"
13:35 Lou as a way to get through bounce/fly/dig
13:35 Objection perhaps we should make sure he knows that it doesn't work like that in-game
13:35 Engineer yeah I want to make sure
13:35 Lou uh
13:35 Objection that way we can tell whether it's an asb change or a mistake
13:35 Lou I am pretty sure DECK KNIGHT knows this
13:35 Lou just sayin'
13:35 Objection i'm not so sure lou
13:35 Objection deck's been wrong before

Can we get final word on this? Aura Sphere and crew hits through Fly/Dig/etc. Y/N?

If I have a Rhyperior and a Geodude in play, can I combine Rhy's Rock Blast with Geodude's Double-Edge? How would such a combination even work?

Lou, I'd PM the ref and ask their opinion. With a complicated combo like that (Rhyperior launches Geodude?) it's probably best to run it by the ref beforehand, so you don't wind up Struggling.

If I were to ref it, I'd probably allow it if you described what you were doing well enough.
I'd RNG the number of hits for Rock Blast, subtract one, as Rhy is launching Geodude, then ref the remaining hits normally.
For the Double Edge, I'd...have to factor for Geodude's increased velocity, maybe using Rhyperior's attack in combination with Geodude's?

I'm tired, maybe I'm over-complicating things...

Rhyperior is using Rock Blast, AKA throwing rocks at the foe.
Geodude is a rock.
Assuming Geodude weighs roughly the same as a single rock, I'd take the damage of a single hit of Rock Blast and add it to Geodude's Double-Edge.
This is all the hypothetical ramblings of the very tired.

EDIT: You don't even have a Rhyperior or a Geodude.

I'm not doing any matches where I have such a combo available, either. I was asking so we'd finally know the answer over in IRC.

I do know that it is possible for two pokemon to synchronise their Earthquakes so that they don't hit each other, but only if they are consecutive in the turn order. As such, I personally would allow two pokemon to make a combo together provided the combo still made logical sense.

Admitteddy, I'm one of the most tolerant of this, but if it makes sense I would allow it. +3Damage or BAP for one or both moves is usually a solid way of doing it.
