Data Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer (ASB Version)

Darkaxis:
1. Read the Registration Tower OP
2. Read battles posted in the forum
3. Get on iRC (SynIRC for the server, #capasb for the channel) with any specific questions; we'll answer p. much any genuine question, but I'm p. sure that nobody's going to hold your hand and explain every minute detail all at once. Lurking on #capasb is EXCELLENT for learning the game, though.

And don't worry if you don't get it all at once. Even some of our oldest and most influential users still have their mix-ups.

level up moves - 1 MC
gen 5 TMs/HMs and tutors - 2 MC
any other move (gen 1/2/3/4 moves and tutors, egg moves, etc..) - 3 MC

It's in the first post of the Battle Tower under the MC description.

1 MC: Level-Up Moves from any Pokemon at or below the current Evolution stage, Pledge Moves.
2 MC: BW TMs, BW Tutors.
3 MC: Egg Moves, Event Moves, Past Gen TMs, Past Gen Tutors

A few questions here.

1) I run Eviolite Porygon2 on PO and am extremely impressed by it. Is it worth using in ASB, or should I just evolve it?

2) Would Scyther fare better in ASB, or would Scizor?

3) Which is a better name for a Jolly Bisharp: Fischer or Kasparov?

1) Since defenses are more standardized, Eviolite isn't quite as effective as it in in-game. However, if you look at their stats, you see that everything is almost identical bar Speed stats; Porygon-Z has 3/3/5/3/90 and an item slot, while Eviolite Porygon2 has 3/5/4/5/60. If you think that the defense boosts are worth the loss of 1 SpA and an item slot, go for it.

2) It depends on what you like.

3) See 2.

I don't know that there exists a codified answer to this anywhere, but if nothing else I can start some discussion.

Can the same item be used in multiple places simultaneously?

Yes. The same item can be used in multiple places; however, the same item cannot be used more than once in a given RP or battle.

is i ok for you to post your own RP idea (like battle subway) without the approval of decknight or another moderator? because i posted an idea in the RPG approval section, and i havnt had an approval yet.

i have a question.
When we post our beggining pokemons, can we post a sprite of them that we recolored?
for ex:
a swinub with white fur but with the same brown stripes?

I also have a question regarding recoloring - Does this include shiny pokemon, or is there a procedure for that? My apologies if this is getting redundant.

@The_Wanderer, sprite modification of any sort, including shinies and even scratched sprites, is permissible as long as A) it isn't a pain in the ass to use for some reason, and B) it's clearly recognizable as the original Pokemon.

No they don't. Deck has some list of ordering somewhere, let me have a look around.

EDIT: Or that, deadfox

Does this help at all?

It does, but I'm looking for what occurs specifically within the ASB rules, since the cartridge and CAPASB rules aren't always alike.

After action:
Poison, Toxic, Leech Seed, Burn, Weather Damage, Partial Trapping Move Damage, Bide Stage, Yawn Stage, Taunt Stage, Disable Stage, Encore Stage, Magnet Rise Stage, Reflect Stage, Light Screen Stage, Telekinesis Stage.

After action effects occur after both Pokemon have completed their actions.

Curse isn't mentioned at all in the above, so I'm wondering which priority it takes in the after action segment.
