Data Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer (ASB Version)

In all honesty, you won't. Assuming (just a shot in the dark here) that Round 2 will be around a month and a half, two months from now, you'd have to ref about as much as Flora to even stand a chance.

unless it's for Grass or Dragon, as far as I know, no one is going for either of those ones yet

I think that Round 2 will yield quite a few of those other types that people haven't picked yet (Why is Bug so popular?!?!?), although I got dips on Normal.

And so that I'm not just wasting space, are we allowed to simply release pokemon that we just don't want anymore?

I don't think so, but there's no point to doing so; you can just let it sit in your profile if you don't want it, or put it up for trade. It's not as if its existence in your registration tower post will break the character limit.

SimonSays, Bug is very hipster popular. I've been training since before Chamander was around, then suddenly three people want in...I'm happy there's interest, to be honest, but now I actually have to fight for it...

Hey I have two questions here if someone can help.

#1: In a multi pokemon battle, can a pokemon with protect use protect on another pokemon in it's team?

#2: if bide is encored while still building up then will the pokemon keep using it again and again until the encore finishes and then release it?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I won't try encoring the bide then. Thanks DF44!

#1: Protect: The Pokemon erects a barrier that protects them from the damage and effects of attacks that would otherwise strike it. Attacks do not fail when used on the Pokemon, and attacks targeting the arena will succeed as normal. This move fails if used on successive actions. In a multi-battle, Protect may be shifted to an ally, but it then has zero (0) priority and uses the target's typing, defenses, and stage boosts for purposes of calculating extra energy cost.

#2 - Bide is used until released, then the move is repeated (So I might be ready to release bide in 1 action when I'm encored. I'd release the bide next action, then the next action I'd restart the bide).

Okay, this is a question because I cannot seem to find it, but...

Where can a newbie go to get a decent fight without being pummeled into the dirt?

Okay, followup question, because I am so far new to the forums here.

Where do I ask for an NFE fight?

Sincerest apologies if this is getting annoying...

sorry noob question here.
ok, with signing up for CAPASB, do i just go to the registration tower and pick a poke or two then wait for the registration to be approved?
if not, how?
its really confusing.

Yeah this place can definitely be a little daunting when first signing up, I know it was for me.

Basically its as you said, you pick how you want to spend your starting 6 TC and make a post in the Registration Tower with your profile and the Pokemon you want. Then once an approver checks it over and gives you the OK you are free to start issuing and accepting challenges in the Battle Tower.

Yes. As deadfox mentioned, you start with 6 TC and you spend those to get your starting pokemon. One thing to note is that single-stage pokemon cost an extra 3 TC if you do not pick them as a starter (so, for example, Heracross would cost 4 TC as a starter and 7 TC as a non-starter).

Of course, you can decide not to spend all 6 TC at once.

About U-turn + Perish Song:

"If the attack hits, the attack resets all of the Pokemon's stat changes and snaps it out of temporary status as well as other effects like Disable, Taunt, and Torment."

Would Perish Song's effect be included in "other effects"?

yes, every effect that would be restet on switching out is (stat resets, sub going down, confusion, etc...), even if the user doesn't actually switches

Heh, okay, another question.

Would a Bullet Punch + Zen Headbutt combo be Psychic- or Steel-type?
