I have a level 90 Ampharos in Emerald with HP Ice. I fed it EV reducing berries and it has no more EVs. Should I EV train it in Emerald with the Macho Brace or transfer it to Diamond and EV train it here with the Power Band items?

I don't want to mess this one up... Could you finish EV training it in one level and will its stats raise properly because its already at a high level?

Where do you get the Choice Specs? It's the item that acts similar to the Choice Band, but works with special attacks instead. I heard you could only get it in the morning, but I don't know which city to find it in.

Its in the top left house in umm... Celestic Town.

I got it right now!~ ^.^

And would someone answer my question? ;)

Yes, the power items are better than the Macho Brace. And yes, EV training will still work at a high level. I think it even works at level 100, since putting your Pokemon in the PC and taking them back out causes the game to reconfigure your stats, which means your EVs will be applied.

In the daytime, I got Wiseglasses, and in the morning I got Choice Specs. Maybe nighttime will give Blackglasses? =P

And I thought that level 100 EV thing was proven to be wrong.

1). I'll be transferring my tyranitar from emerald over today (adamant perfect attack DV, lv100 :D . Can't remember exact EPs, but i know Attack is maxed and there is some in HP)

It knows Rock Slide, EQ, DD and Crunch. If i want to use it for the BT in DP, is this its best moveset? If not, what should I change?

2). Does anyone know locations of trainers that have pokemon that give great EXP? (i'm assuming they'd be around the Battle Park area.) Or locations of great EXP wild pokemon?

3)Is there a place to get the new macho braces (or whatever they're called) before Battle Park? A.k.a., get them for free instead of spending all of your BP.

4). I really like Mamoswine. Can you recomend a good BT set/spread?

Thanks a lot muchachos.

But if I started Ev training my Ampharos at level 90 and got all of its Ev points at level 90, would the stats all add up when it levels? Or will it take 5-6 levels?

To my understanding, it will gain the stats for all of the EPs you fought, but of course it will keep them consistant with your level. You won't magically get 100 lvl stats when you're at 91. But with getting max EPs at level 90, you will level up and have max stats for a lvl 91 EP trained ampharos.

It doesn't matter what level you EV train at, only that you do it before Lv100. As long as your EVs at what you want them to be at Lv100, you'll have the stats you expect at Lv100.

Most people suggest you EV training as soon as you get the Pokemon because that way you won't collect unwanted Effort Points from leveling up the Pokemon and have to use EV reducing berries.

Is this assumption true?

I sent in a Duskull that carries the Power Weight (Plus 4 EVs after every battle). I decide to switch my Duskull and send out another Pokemon. Will my Duskull still gain the EVs given from the Power Weight after the battle?

Is it possible to get all three of the glass items (Choice Specs, Wise Glasses, Blackglasses) or is it one per game?

You can get all three glasses items in one game. Just stop by the house in northwest Celestic Town in the morning, day, and night.

I just caught the Pokerus, which is still kinda useless since Im still playing ingame. I immediately infected 5 random Pokemon from my boxes and placed them in a whole seperate box by themselves. Will they keep it forever if I keep them in there?

From what I have heard, I can withdraw one and battle with it to infect a Pokemon I want to EV train. Does this really work? Will the Pokerus really not wear off when I withdraw the infected Pokemon a few months from now?

Hello I have a couple of questions.

If I teach a TM to a female pokemon and I want to breed that tm move onto a different pokemon, is that possible? I know that you can do it with a male, but i think i read that if you breed a female and a ditto, the offspring will get the tm moves, is this true?

Also when you breed a male and female together and the female has an everstone, does this give a 50% chance to pass down the nature of the female? Or a 50% chance to pass down either the male or female's nature?

Sorry if this has been answerer in a previous page, but is it possible to get ice punch and pursuit on sneasel without the aid of emerald. I've been trying for 4 hours to get ice punch and pursuit on smeargle but I dont know how.

just the female's nature, i believe.

EDIT: Beaten to it

Only males can past down TMs. Everstone gives you a 50% chance of getting the female's nature.

You have engage in a double battle. In DP, Abomasnow knows Ice Punch (needs move relearner) and Flotzel knows Pursuit for examples.

Thanks very much, also if a male pokemon learns a TM move by leveling up, can you breed that move to an offspring? Or can you only breed moves that you actually use the TM?
