Media Yu-Gi-Oh discussion

Tour Guide/Reborn Tengu won't be hit by the banlist because they're TCG exclusives.

Yea, probably not, but I was mainly talking about hitting the cards that make the deck so good, like Mind Control, Dandylion, Monster Reborn, and even MST/Heavy.

And lol I've been seeing many of the top ranked players on DN using wind-ups and inzecters in the same deck. It's really really stupid...

mst and heavy storm are healthy for the game

one-for-ones like bottomless and solemn make the game boring tbh

IMO, constantly getting OTK'd after your backrow gets destroyed by MST and Heavy is even more "boring" than having to deal with one-for-one traps like Bottomless and D-prison. Besides, you could always defend your monsters with cards like Royal Decree, Trap Stun, and Seven Tools of the Bandit, and Dust Tornado if these traps are that bothersome.

The ideal numbers are probably 1 MST, 1 Heavy Storm OR 0 Heavy Storm, 3 MST

Nah, it's unlimited lol. I haven't seen many people run more than two though.

So what do you guys think of the format so far? I like it for the most part, but Tour Guide Tengu Plants are way too good and hard to counter at the moment. Konami probably needs to hit that deck as well as spell/trap destruction by the time the next list comes around...too many constant pushes for game for my liking.

My mistake. I'm in the same boat as you, I never see anyone run more than two so I just assumed it was semi-limited.

I've been using Disaster Dragon, Dino Rabbit, and Hyperion lately.

It is called Agents, not Hyperion, I get pissed off every time I see the deck called Hyperion in coverage, the same with Tengu Plants being called Synchro Summon

Dicking around with Gemini XYZ + Utlimate Offering

Responses like this make the deck fun

i'd rather lose to the occasional massive plant push than deal with anything remotely close to what the previous format was.

you shouldn't be able to win by summoning thunderking and setting 4 turn 1. that is so boring and annoying it isn't even funny.

So, I just started playing Chain Burn. I made my deck after looking at various other Chain Burn decks that have been posted on the Internet, but it's not flowing especially well. I almost just lose to a Disaster Dragon deck because of Light and Darkness Dragon.
Monsters
3 Battle Fader
2 Des Koala
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
2 Lava Golem
1 Marshmallon
1 Morphing Jar
3 Swift Scarecrow

Spells

2 Chain Strike
2 Dark Room of Nightmare
2 One Day of Peace
3 Poison of the Old Man
3 Pot of Duality

Traps

3 Accumulated Fortune
1 Ceasefire
3 Dimension Wall
1 Jar of Greed
3 Just Desserts
1 Legacy of Yata-Garasu
2 Magic Cylinder
2 Ojama Trio
3 Secret Barrel
Any suggestions on what I should remove and replace?

Done and done.

Also, I fucking hate Inzektor decks. I swear, all they need Inzektor Dragonfly and Inzektor Hornet, use Dragonfly's effect to remove Hornet to destroy a monster, then summon Centipede, then do resummon Hornet, it's just infuriating. Every time I see an Inzektor, I quit immediately. And, seeing as this is DN where it's one match (unless your opponent offers a rematch), I can't side in my Thunder Kings, Debunk, Skill Drain, absolutely nothing.

Help me tweak my deck cause I suck at this game. The goal was to be Anti-Everything. Testing has shown its effective but I need a few more tweaks.

Monsters:

3x Banisher of Radiance
3x Cyber Dragon
3x D.d. Crow
3x Effect Veiler
3x Fossil Dyno Pachycephalo
3x Saber X-AirBellum

Spells:

1x Bait Doll
1x Book of Moon
1x Dark Hole
3x Enemy Controller
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mind Control
1x Monster Reborn
1x MST
1x One for One
3x Pot of Duality
3x Shrink

Traps:

1x Mirror Force
1x Solemn Judgement
2x Solemn Warning
1x Torrential Tribute

Extra:

"Standard Synchro's"
Formula Synchron
Number 17: Levi Dragon

Needs Thunder King Rai-Oh somewhere. You've got Dyna, but personally, I'd prefer to guard even more against Special Summons, especially with Tengu Plants on the loose.

I agree, but can't we find some sort of balance? This format, Konami tried to go to the opposite extreme of last format by unlimiting MST and putting Heavy at 1, and because of that, control-based decks can hardly defend themselves from constant monster swarms. The only control decks I've seen that topped this format were T.G. stun and Herald of Perfection (the latter of which used 0 traps), but other than that, they're pretty much put aside for monster-heavy or swam decks (Karakuri, Plants, Agents, etc.). I think the most obvious way to diversify the game would be to hit spell/trap destruction.

Or maybe Konami can get their heads out of their asses and hit the dumb monster swarms to begin with. Glow-Up needs to go. Dandy needs to go. Hyper Librarian needs to go. BLS needs to go. The Karakuri Shoguns should be monitored atm. Venus needs a hit. And to hell with the OCG, Tengu needs a hit.

That's probably just the tip of the iceberg tbh.

So Premium Pack 14 has been announced with a bunch of 5D's and GX manga goodies just for Christmas... in the OCG.
http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/55773990/

The big hitters are Masked HERO Acid (pretty much the HFD counterpart to Absolute Zero) and Masked HERO Daian (has an effect similar to Jurrac Guaiba, but can fetch a Lv 4 or lower, it could be nerfed to just fetch a HERO monster or something) for the HERO players like myself.

Infernities get a sexy 3k Shi En in the form of Purgatory Dragon.

Some of the GX manga fans will have Ma'at, but it went the way of Neos Wiseman, so don't hold your breathe on something spectacular.

Gravity Warrior comes out for something that could be a cute little OTK maneuver with Ojama Trio and Battle Mania.

These effects are unconfirmed at the time (it doesn't show on shriek, but I checked the wiki) so some will get nerfed, but at the time being it looks like a solid set for the OCG. It's too bad that we'll wait for forever to get any of those cards :/

Purgatory Dragon looks pretty awesome. It might give Infernities the boost they need to jump a tier. As for Slifer, fuck Slifer. http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/55773984/

The Creator God of Light, Horakhty. Summon it and you win. Period. End of story. Only downside is that you need to tribute Slifer, Obelisk, and Ra to summon it, and it looks like Phantom of Chaos will work in summoning it.

I'm still waiting for Dark Tour Bus. I really, really want to know what it does.

P.S: Chain Burn is awesome and, if it wasn't so easy to Side against (just use Royal Decree), I'd bet it would be more popular in tournaments.
