A slight twist on the standard Scarf Heatran effectively counters that Ho-oh set without compromising it's usual role as a revenge killer. Stone edge was chosen over HP Rock to avoid the potential Light Screen, and 6Att Stone Edge is more than capable of easily 2HKOing Ho-oh (217Att Stone Edge vs 401HP/216Def Ho-oh: 72.8%-85.8%), and OHKOs after Stealth Rock even allowing for three turns of leftovers Recovery. Resistances to Ho-oh's dual STAB provide plentiful opportunities to switch in, with Flash Fire allowing Tran to evade the possible burns too.

Water Arceus resists both of Heatran's STABs, doesn't take much damage from Earth Power or Dragon Pulse, and laughs at Stone Edge. He also packs a super effective STAB in Judgment, scaring Heatran to the hills. Water Arceus can also set up Calm Mind on a choice-locked -2 Heatran, and with a wide coverage in Spacial Rend and Fire Blast, He can wreak havoc in many teams. Arceus gets access to a wide arsenal of attacks; Ice Beam, Thunder, Earth Power, and Focus Blast. Kyogre support is mandatory, as it powers up Judgment's power, and allows Water Arceus to hit as hard as possible. Skarmory and Forretress are excellent partners with Water Arceus, as all of them can provide Spikes support. Both are also excellent answers to Ferrothorn, a threat to this set because rain decreases Fire Blast's damage, as the former can Whirlwind it out to rack up damage or simply nullify any attempts to Spike with Taunt, or in the case of Forretress, Rapid Spin. The EVs give Water Arceus maximum offensive power and momentum.

OK this is your standard Grassceus wall / tank with a bit of a twist to make it more defensive in exchange for losing the ability to instantly annihilate Rayquaza with Ice Beam. Grassceus eats Waterceus's non STAB Ice Beams and Rain-weakened (so long as they are not boosted by Sun) Fire Blasts all day and can retaliate back with a Giga Drain or Judgment or just phaze it out with Perish Song. The EVs allow Grassceus to outspeed standard 252 + natured Chomp so that it can burn it before eating an Outrage. The Special Defense EVs allow Grassceus to stomach Specs Draco Meteors and Recover off the damage, making it a superb mixed tank. The rest of the EVs are thrown into Defense to cushion the impact of DD Ray's Outrage, who is promptly burned and crippled by this monster.

Grassceus not only serves as a counter to Waterceus, it also is a very decent Specs Kyogre switch-in, capable of utilizing Giga Drain or Judgment to lower the damage of a Specs Water Spout so that it will not 2HKO, and can then proceed to recover the damage off on the switch or it can watch as Kyogre tickles it with weakened spouts. Lastly, Grassceus is a superb mixed tank and weather killer, its defensive capablities allow it to easily stomach Fire Punch from Groudon and hurt it hard with Giga Drain / Judgment or go for the WoW to cripple it, and can switch into Tyranitar and do the same. Stall teams love Grassceus as it removes any issues with Sub Claws Zekky, serves as a more "reliable" Specs Ogre counter then the standard Scarf / LO Palkia, while maintaining the ability to kill last mon stallers with Perish Song.

Good old Gen 4, taunt calm mind mewtwo. It can taunt Grassceus and render any attempt at using perish song, Will O wisp and recover useless. From there Mewtwo can use calm mind to weaken grassceus' judgements. Mewtwo can boost up relatively easily, using taunt when it needs to. From then on, Mewtwo can put grassceus down with a powerful Psystrike or Fire Blast/ Ice Beam. The last move is entirely your choice; Fire Blast can put a dent in bulky steels and mons like lugia with sun support, cleanly KOing or 2HKoing them. Ice Beam can be used to deal with the plethora of dragons in the teir, whilst still hitting lugia super effectively. Giratina is also hit for double damage with Ice beam as opposed to Fire Blast. Aura sphere deals with darkrai and to some extent the steels that will bug you. Leftovers is chosen to extend mewtwos' longevity and a Timid nature with full investment will allow it to outspeed darkrai and possibly tie with other mewtwo. the rest is put in Special Attack, to hit as hard as possible.

Victini resists all of Mewtwo's moves, and isn't even 2HKOed by a +1 Psystrike. V-Create, on the other hand, easily OHKOes Mewtwo even without sun being up, and he can Trick Room before that to sweep the team. V-Create is simply incredibly powerful with that 180 base power, STAB, and sun. Get Giratina and Reshiram out of the way, and sweep. You also need to weaken possible Palkia and Rayquaza before you try to sweep.

One of the best Stallbreakers in Ubers is here to counter the most-win Pokemon ever! Not only Giratina-O resists or is immune to everything Victini can throw at it, it also packs priority Shadow Sneak to bypass Trick Room. Dragon Tail is useful for shuffling, thus making Skarmory, Forretress, and Ferrothorn amazing partners, as all can set up Spikes on the opponent's ground. Draco Meteor is just STRONG, and can land a lot of damage on Victini and the likes of Groudon. Hidden Power [Fire] is used against those pesky Steel-types, who resist both of Giratina-O's STABs. The EVs allow Giratina-O survive a +1 Psystrike or Ice Beam from Mewtwo and Spacial Rend from Choice Scarf Palkia, while still 2HKOing Mewtwo with Giratina-O (by trickroom). Heatran and Groudon are useful teammates, as with Heatran you create an amazing Stallbreaking combo. Groudon boosts Hidden Power [Fire]'s power up, and also sets up Stealth Rock - which is great for SHUFFLING.

With this set, Giratina can counter Victini better than any other Giratina set (the only thing that every other Giratina set can do is Dragon Tail, which isn't even affected by TR). Giratina can easily set up on Victini, resisting all of its moves. However, Giratina does suffer from 4 move syndrome, since more offensive coverage could be better. Because of this, Giratina is easily walled by Steels, but if Giratina reaches +6, it can definetely be a potent threat.

This counters both Giratinas in case I was supposed to attack the other one -_-. Ok so this thing is really cool, its hell for stall teams that rely on non Snatch Chansey / Blissey and Ferrothorn to remove this from the game, this thing can then drop their jaws and use Substitute, making it immune to leech seed, status, and Dragon Tail phazing. With Gira-o being unable to break this things Sub in one hit from Dragon Tail and non-sun boosted Hidden Power Fire it turns into set up bait for a quick Darkceus clean. Gira-a's Dragon Pulse tickles and it has no fear Calm Minding and spamming super effective STAB Judgment and Dark Pulses at Gira-a when they both are at +6 (it wins the CM war). Given evs are a bit random but they have their purpose. Since Darkceus gets such good neutral coverage over the tier with Dark-type moves, it doesn't need to invest in Special Attack, so theres a good chunk of evs thrown into speed, enough to outspeed the Lati twins to be precise. The rest is thrown into defense to insure that a non-invested Ferrothorn's Power Whip will break the sub only 33% of the time.

Mono-attacking Dark Arceus can't touch this thing, ever. Just Swords Dance in its face and eat it. Even though SD Scizor is kind of walled by everything in the metagame these days, it is a reasonably good Steel-type with reliable recovery that packs some offensive presence (unlike Skarmory, and if you don't want to use Steel Arceus). With some entry hazards and wallbreakers around, Scizor can even clean up late game with boosted Bullet Punches. Just remember not to take this thing out straight away and expect it to sweep, because you won't.

So this thing basically tanks all of Scizor's moves handily, and can, from there, set up to +2 and retaliate with a powerful Earthquake that has a chance of OHKOing (definite OHKO with SR up). Bulky Excadrill prefers to be on a rain team (although it is not required) and it can act as a check to Zekrom, Palkia, and Dialga. It also beats Giratina-O one on one, allowing it to be the Uber tier's best Rapid Spinner.

Rayquaza @ Life Orb

Mix Quaza is a boss, and it breaks lots walls not named Lugia really easily! Its ability Air Lock allows it to negate the speed boost of special abilities like Swift Swim and Sand Rush, enabling it to take it out annoying mons like Ferrotroll in the rain. It can easily switch in on Excadril on any move barring Rock Slide (which is easier to predict then it looks), outspeed even if it is sand thanks to Air Lock, and proceed to annihilate Excadril with a Fire Blast. Aside from breaking weather threats and walls, Mixquaza is a fantastic Groudon lure, and thanks to the given EV spread, it OHKOes 252 HP Groudon, making it a great player for Sand and Rain teams (who also enjoy Ferrotroll removal) alike!

A variation of bulky Heatran counters MixQuaza quite nicely. Factoring in Stealth Rock and Leftovers, no combination of attacks on that set can 2HKO Heatran, providing ample opportunities to switch in. 152 Special Attack EVs ensure HP Ice OHKOs 100% of the time. Flamethrower for STAB, status move of choice for potentially crippling switch-ins, while Roar stops it from becoming setup bait.

Since Heatran isn't counted, Specially Defensive Cresselia makes a fantastic switch in to Mixed Rayquaza. Draco Meteor only does 48.9% - 57.7%, allowing Cresselia to avoid the 2HKO. Outrage does 38.5% - 45.5%. Air Lock negates weather so Cresselia can use Moonlight to heal 50% which is more than Rayquaza can hit. Icy Wind makes Rayquaza slower than Cresselia after one hit while Reflect softens Outrage. Thunder Wave cripples Rayquaza.

Since a bunch of Pokemon that could have otherwise been used to counter a mono-ice set, such as Kyogre, Heatran, Arceus-Water, Scizor, Manaphy, Victini and probably Ho-oh are apparently not allowed to be used again, Arceus-Ice can take devious advantage of their absence and its ability to effortlessly set up on that Cresselia set by way of Substitute alone. Earth Power is an optional coverage move, since most of the Uber Pokemon that are left to choose from to counter this are weak to ground.

Metagross is a very underrated threat in Ubers. CB Meteor Mash OHKOes Ice Arceus with ease while Judgment doesn't do a whole lot. +1 Earth Power isn't strong enough to OHKO either. Earth Power only has a small chance to 2HKO Metagross due to the Special Defense investment (43.4% - 51.1%). Hammer Arm destroys Steel-types bar Jirachi while Explosion is a very good suicide move, despite the nerf. Explosion also OHKOes some Kyogre and Ho-Oh. Bullet Punch can pick off a weakened Ice Arceus and destroys Deoxys-A.

Giratina's Ghost typing means that neither Explosion nor Hammer Arm can touch it. It's great bulk also means that, unless Metagross has been chaining Meteor Mash boosts, its CB attacks will not be able to break Giratina. Giratina can come in and burn Metagross, outspeeding it with superior base 90 Speed. It can then Rest off any damage. Alternatively, you can try to catch the next Pokemon coming in with another Will-O-Wisp since Metagross will be next to useless, or start Dragon Tailing to rack up some entry hazards damage.

Got this idea from Jibaku in trickroom's classic stall RMT. With multiple layers of hazards, Ho-Oh can outspeed Giratina and phaze it away first, and after doing that a number of times, you just Brave Bird it to death. The EVs allow Ho-Oh to outspeed minimum Speed Lugia as well, allowing you to whisk him away before he can do anything too. Since Giratina is massive Spike fodder (Forretress and Ferrothorn set up on it for free), this is not too hard to achieve.

This is probably the best Ho-Oh counter in the game, even more so now with the absence of Earthquake. Rockceus takes a pitiful 25.67 - 30.4% from Sacred Fire, which is the most Ho-Oh can do. Meanwhile, Rockceus can either use Ho-Oh as set up bait with Calm Mind or just outspeed and kill it with a x4 super effective STAB Judgment. Sacred Fire burns are also not a problem, as Rockceus can just remove them with Refresh and proceed to heal any damage taken with Recover. The EVs are standard and from the analysis; they maintain bulk while keeping the ability to tie with opposing Arceus. Rockceus can also be used to check special threats, such as Reshiram, thanks to its ridiculously high Special Defense under Sandstorm (which is boosted even further by Calm Mind).

Lucario (M) @ Life Orb

Not only Lucario 4x resists Rock Arceus's STAB, it also packs a super effective STAB Close Combat to strike back hard and possibly OHKO it! Lucario also has a way to boost its Attack further by using Swords Dance, which after a single Swords Dance it skyrockets Lucario's Attack to a whooping 700 stat. After a single Swords Dance, even Groudon falls for Lucario, as it takes over 65% from Close Combat. Lucario also gets an amazing priority move in ExtremeSpeed which is very reliable. After a Justified boost, Darkrai takes over 64% from ExtremeSpeed as well, making it a viable switch-in. Lucario can also defeat Dark Arceus with no Focus Blast with that ability. Shadow Claw rounds up the set with coverage, allowing Lucario to hit Lugia and Giratina formes for super effective damage.

Lucario really appreciates entry hazards, especially Spikes. Thus, either Ferrothorn, Forretress, or Skarmory are great partners, as all can lay down Spikes. The EVs give Lucario maximum offensive power, allowing it to hit as hard and as fast as possible. Jolly nature can be used to outspeed more Pokemon, but that's redudant because Lucario really appreciates the extra attack from Adamant. Life Orb grants more power to Lucario by increasing the damage output, while still retaining the ability to change moves, all in the cost of 10% of Lucario's health per attack.

A faster Lugia spread easily outspeeds Lucario, put up a Reflect and Earthquake or phaze it. Reflect softens hits from any physical attacker. Earthquake smashes Lucario to bits. Heatran and Magnezone are also stomped by this Lugia set :) Dragon Tail is an awesome gift for Lugia as it is the ultimate phazer. Dragon + Ground gives good coverage as well.

Despite being weak to Crunch, Lugia is too bulky to fall to unboosted hits. Swords Dance is foiled by a faster Reflect. Speed EVs help to outrun everything up to Jolly Rayquaza, this allows Lugia to take on Swords Dance or Mixed Rayquaza better. Rest are put into Def and HP to maximize bulk. Additional Special bulk isn't needed as Lugia generally has to switch from the two insanely powerful special attackers anyway: Specs Reshiram and Kyogre.

Any Spikes user makes Lugia's phazing attempts much deadlier than usual. Even Lucario itself makes a good Lugia teammate by smashing Dark, Steel Arceus and mono-attacking Darkrai.

Apologies for using Heatran twice, I had assumed using two completely different sets would be allowed given that they would have completely different counters, I must have looked over the mention of it on the first page, however.

Anyways, Lugia Counter;

A good ol' retro Mismagius takes on the above Lugia set quite nicely. Having an immunity to earthquake and not caring a jot about Reflect or Roost, Mismagius can happily float in on 75% of the moveset, at which point it can set up a Sub. 140HP EVs ensure that a Dragon Tail from a 0 Att Lugia will always fail to break the substitute, allowing Maggy to set up at will completely safe from PHazing. Even at +1, Shadow Ball 2HKOs 100% of the time, factoring in Leftovers (441 SpAtt Shadow Ball vs 416HP/344SpDef= 53.4%-63.5%), as well as having great coverage in a psychic-choked tier. Hidden Power Fighting provides perfect neutral coverage whereas Thunder can abuse rain from Kyogre. If Nasty Plot is chosen for the setup move, an EV spread of 140HP/152SpAtt/216Spe can be used to allow for a more aggressive set, sacrificing a small amount of power in exchange for being able to outspeed +natured base 100s, with a further 16 EVs allowing you to outspeed +natured Garchomp.

With running max HP and a huge amount of Special Defense investment, Tyranitar's special bulk will be amazing in the sand. This set is so bulky that it can take 2 Surfs from more defensive Kyogre sets and still live to tell the tale and switch the weather. Mismagius's Shadow Ball will do negligible damage, while an unboosted HP Fighting will only do 30.7% - 36.6%. If Mismagius is running Thunder, it's pretty much dead in the water. Tyranitar can play the Pursuit / Crunch mindgame to score the KO on Missy.

Groudon @ Choice Band

OK CB Groudon is underated, deadly, and it beats most of its usual counters. The massive power of a CB Earthquake with an Adamant nature lets it OHKO plenty of things, like Dialga, Palkia, and even 252 HP Kyogre after Stealth Rock. It forces Tyranitar to switch or be KOed by a CB EQ. Then with proper prediction, you can hit the incoming Pokemon in hard, 2HKOing serveral things like defensive Lugia with a Stone Edge, while Timid fast Lugia face an OHKO after Rocks. Even Giratina-a fears switching in when Stealth Rocks and 2 layers of Spikes are up as it may 2HKO. Or you can be a massive troll and keep the bluff you are a support Groudon by using Dragon Tail, to rack up residual damage and randomize the next thing that comes in.

The moveset is simple. Stone Edge and EQ provide the infamous Edge Quake coverage while Hammer Arm lets you OHKO chansey and dent troublesome Skarmory that may somehow manage to get in your way in the rain, since CB EQ 2HKOes Chansey, and Fire Punch OHKOes Skarmory in the rain, Dragon Tail can be chosen as an alternative, keeping up a bluff and disrupting the opponents team all while stacking residual damage. Fire Punch is for obliterating the likes of Ferrotroll and Forry instantly, and is for Skarmory in the sun ( common due to drought). Lastly, the EVs allow Groudon to survive on average 1 modest Scarf Kyogre Water Spout in the sun, while the rest is pumped into speed to outspeed as many Lugia as possible.
