Well competitively speaking, if these are fire/ice and electric/ice, the Zekrom one will be broke (why are they making two pokemon with STAB bolt/beam?) and the Reshiam one will probably fall due to its bad typing. (No useful resistances other than .25 from Ice, and being 4x weak to SR and weak to Water, Ground, and Fighting.)

Ken...you running out of ideas bro!?!?!?

Or just BW2 because that doesn't require superscript

Pretty sure most people are calling them BW2 at this point.

Am I the only one who really hates how Kyurem-Z and Kyurem-R look?
To paraphrase Yahtzee Croshaw, it's like somebody sat down, started drawing them, and never bloody stopped.

In all seriousness, I'm hoping this game is a sequel, not a rehash of the same things.
White/Black had a real focus on story, which I liked (Even as Ghetsis wrecked my Nuzlocke) and I hope it continues into these new games.

Has anybody thought about the possibility of a triple type? It may be far-fetched but it could happen.

It's been thought of and dismissed. One, the current coding doesn't allow it. Two, it would make the Pokémon completely broken STAB-wise, or at least give it an unfair advantage.

I could see it coming in a later generation, though.

True the Kyurem-Zekrom one would probably be the stongest poke ever with STAB BoltBeam+ Dragon STAB

It hasn't been completely dismissed, as people keep saying "hey this could happen," but yeah, those who take a look into the evidence are extremely against it. I am one of those people who's on the side against it happening, but I'm still not saying it's 100% confirmed not to happen.

Am i the only one who thinks this topic is getting a bit repetitive with ideas like triple typing, no 3ds complaints, and ideas like Hoenn being thrown around every few pages like the idea is new? I mean it's okay for a few people to think and debate that, but everyone who reposts the idea a few pages later just seems like they're trying to increase post count.

If Hoenn was in these games it would be great, if it wasn't oh well.
If there's triple typing it's great (Not gonna happen, but....) as long as this only happens once, but if it doesn't oh well.
If it's enhanced on 3ds great, if not oh well
If they're Ice/Dragon, Dragon/Fire, Dragon/Electric, Ice/Electric, Ice/Fire nothing really matters except only 3 are decent combinations, but people arguing this are fairly annoying.

The best things they can for people who use wifi is fix to penalize dc'ers. And also the same wifi settings on BW2 as the originals helps people with tighter wifi security. I'm just gonna get the game like I always do for the cover mascot, and potentially decent story.

Edit: Like the bost dirrectly below me. The triple typing possibility has been discussed tones already. The post adds no new arguements are reasonings to the siuation. Therefore it seems to be to increase post count.

I'm all for a triple type. I feel GF needs to mix it up a bit if its just going to be a region remake.

Keep in mind that theses games still are intended for children as the primary demographic. Would an average kid be able to think of all effectiveness tables in their head for a 3-type Pokémon? Like how much will Sludge Bomb do to the enemy Poison/Bug/Ghost Pokémon or how much will Bug Bite do to a Fighting/Psychic/Bug type?

If they had triple typing, which will not happen, it would only be good/fair if this new Kyurom/Kyuram obtained it and no other pokemon did. But it wouldn't matter anyway because if GameFreak does something once they are going to do it again....

So those are real? They look so ugly, though the original form of Kyurem was ugly too.

Curious to find out more about their stats, type, etc.

The new forms are better than a "retarded ice chicken."

Wait wait have the typings been confirmed?

I am pondering it's ability(s).

Okay so I previously speculated about Kyurem changing forme with Freeze Shock / Ice Burn (which would be terrible).

But now I think it wouldn't be entirely impossible for Kyurem to hold the Dark Stone / Light Stone. They'd just have to make it a hold item but make it return to the bag in trade rooms like for Giratina and the Griseous Orb.

The God Stone, btw, removed from English Games due to religious reference, will probably still be a key item but renamed the enlightenment stone or similar.

We're pretty sure these are Kyurem's formes because Junichi Masuda said they're called Black Kyurem and White Kyurem so I doubt Resh/Zek holding the Enlightenment Stone will transform them.

I don't really care too much about the new types of Kyurem. I just want to know what's going to be different about these games from BW.

Really really eager to see a tutor move list!
I like Kyurem-Z, but not a fan of the Reshiram form. Just aesthetically speaking.

Several comments on the competitive merit of possible types:

Much as the boltbeam combo is hyped, ice/fire actually is nearly as good offensively, due to hitting so many things for 2x and 4x damage, unfortunately with the prevalence of rain it would really only be viable on sun teams :(

Ice/electric and ice/fire are both such terrible defensive typings that even with 680 bsts the new Forms (if they're those types) might well struggle to find usage in ou, being weak to ground fighting and rock, 3 of the most common attacking types in ou.

Fire dragon and elec dragon would obviously be uber, as there wouldn't be a huge difference between them and reshiram/zekrom.

Ice/dragon would be very interesting. As Kyurem showed, phenomenal bst with a poor defensive typing and mediocre offensive movepool is by no means amazing, as the sheer power is not enough to make up for coverage. 680 Bst ice dragons would likely be ou, yet I don't see them being uber, possibly making them the first cover legends not to be uber I believe.
