After making a OU team, quite successful thaks to the help I received here, I'm aiming now to a UU team. I'm still not used to this metagame, but I built a team that is doing fine, but I'm not good in finding weakness in others teams, so I as you help in it.
Building process
In a format crowded with fire mons Stealth Rock seems as an awesome entry hazard, and Deoxys-D is one of the best because of its speed and bulky.
I wanted a physical swepper, and Medicham was my pick because if it was already a boss in OU, in UU it could make big damages to the opponent.
There is a reason for fire pokemon being so popular in UU, and I noticed it in the forms of Darmanitan, Victini, Chandelure and Moltres. After few tests I decided running Chandelure (amazing late game) and Victini.
With three great sweppers I needed some pokemon to take hits and attack, since Deoxys-D is mainly a support poke. So I took Cradily and Togekiss to do this job.
Cradily wasn't doing so well because, as I stated before, fire pokemon are really common, and even being rock type his Storm Drain wasn't being as useful as it is in OU. So I exchanged the ancient plant for Gligar, giving me a physical and special wall with Togekiss and Gligar.
After some plays, the only remnants of the previous team are these two. Gligar can stall even a statused Heracross thanks to Eviolite, and Chandelure showed really useful with Flash Fire and nice coverage.
I was really missing Rotom in my team. And I wasn't fine with running a second fire type, so I ended up with Rotom-C. Good typing and having its weakness backed up by Chandelure made it stay in the team.
I wanted to make an all-around team, and to achieve this I needed a Rapid Spinner. And ended with Blastoise for this spot. Even not being a real tank or a huge cannon, Torrent can be useful sometimes.
Unfortunately most Scarfers in the tier are fire types, making Stealth Rock quite common. To avoid more weakness to hazards I decided to run Heracross, making my team less vulnerable to status.
With a physical wall, a special wall, a physical swepper, a special swepper and a somewhat revenge killer I'm only missing a cleric. And between Lickilicky and Alomomola I ended with the tongue guy thanks to its type, avoiding many common weakness in the team.
The Team
Lickilicky (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Protect
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Body Slam
This is the closest thing I found to a cleric Blissey. And she do this job quite well. Body Slam is here for the random paralysis it can get, while the others moves are more as a support: Heal Bell because my team is quite vulnerable to status, specially paralysis and burn, while Protect and Wish is the standard recovery Lickilicky has access, both to her or to her teamates. Also, Own Tempo can be really useful sometimes.
Rotom-C @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Trick
Rotom is present in almost every tier of the game, and for a good reason: its versatility is awesome. Even the Heat form is dominant in UU I opted for the mower because of his typing. Rotom-C can take many hits really well, and Leaf Storm covers many of this team weakness, like Rhyperior and other bulky water, even more common in UU. Basically this is the classic Rotom-W Scarfed, but with Leaf Storm isntead of Hydro Pump.
Chandelure (F) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
CSpecs Chandelure is a real monster. Reaching 582 SAtk and having a decent 283 Spd it can kill many pokemon before getting down. After having Flash Fire activated (something not hard thanks to the popularity of fire pokemon in the tier) Fire Blast can 2HKO almost everything it faces, making it a real threat to switch in. The others moves are more for coverage: Energy Ball is to punish water pokes commonly used to counter it; Shadow Ball is a second STAB move but with perfect accuracy; HP Fighting can hit hard Snorlax, that, thanks to Thick Fat, can take Fire Blast better than others pokemon.
Blastoise (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Roar
- Toxic
This little turtle is ok. Even Rapid Spin not being really necessary in this team, it can be useful sometimes. It seems I'm using this guy the wrong way, since most times she enters to take damage enough to activate Torrent and revenge kill with Scald. Even not being always useful I'm not sure about taking her away yet. Maybe a Hitmontop can do a better job.
Heracross (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Megahorn
- Close Combat
My physical swepper. Having one of the best offensive typing in the game, combined with two great STABs and a nice ability makes Heracross a big threat, losing only for Victini and Medicham in my opinion. Hitting like a truck and with Pursuit and Choice Scarf, it is a great revenge killer, job she shares with Rotom.
Gligar (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Toxic
- Roost
- Substitute
- Earthquake
Eviolite caused a huge revolution in the game. Many NFE pokemon now are better than their evolutions thanks to this. Unfortunately this isn't real for Gligar since it lacks offensive power. But in UU both Gliscor and Skarmory are unavailable, making this little flying scorpion one of the best physical tanks available. Toxic, Roost and Substitute make this purlplish guy a great stall pokemon, and Earthquke is here in case of it being taunted, and ground weakness is quite common around UU too, and a 100 base power STAB is still a huge threat even with its small Atk.

In a format crowded with fire mons Stealth Rock seems as an awesome entry hazard, and Deoxys-D is one of the best because of its speed and bulky.
