Hey there. This is my second rmt for the corps, The noble light force. This is the assault squad. The main team for this corps. The following pokemon are used and most are open for removal from this squad if you guys suggest something better. So without further ado let's get goin on this. Thanks to thunder blunder for suggesting landorus.
Team at a glance
In depth
Murckrow @ Eviolite
Trait: prankster
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP, 128 def, 128 spdef
Moves:
Perish song
taunt
roost
mean look
Perish trapper murckrow. A middle finger to all walls ever. This can destroy a blissey who doesn't pack seismic toss and even then it can just roost stall. This murckrow is simple. Bring in on a wall, trap it then taunt to stop it from wear down, then perish song if needed. This team had problems against blisseys and ferrothorns that murckrow will make suffer.
Cresselia @ leftovers
trait: levitate
Nature: bold
evs: 252 HP, 60 def, 196 spdef
Moves:
Rest
reflect
ice beam
thunder wave
Cresselia, the poor thing got booted thanks to ferrothorn and the like from it's rightful throne in OU. Now it wants pay back on the very things that kicked it out of it's prime. However it can't do it alone. With the help of lucario. She has an ally for her sword. She helps it with reflect support for the whole team as well as spread paralysis. Ice beam for dragon slayer. Rest over moonlight to prevent weather crippling her. The evs are different to that of the standard to prevent it from being shut down against special attackers.
Pikachu @ Light ball
Trait: Static
Nature: jolly
Evs: 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 spd
Moves:
Endure
reversal
volt tackle
fake out
I am going to say this. This is one of those sets that are unusual for a pikachu to run. Here me out. This thing is a suicide sweeper. It is a all or nothing pokemon. Static was the more superior choice over lightning rod for this as it made pikachu a chance to cripple any speedster. Paired with fake out, and this thing will put a dent on teams. This pikachu was necessary for me to use thanks to the blaziken ban as it does the same a gen 4 blaziken could do a little better.
Lucario @ Life orb
trait: inner focus
Nature: adamant
Evs: 4 HP, 252 atk, 252 Spd
moves:
drain punch
extreme speed
ice punch
crunch
Lucario was the pokemon that got me to use fighting types and is one of my favorite fighting types. So naturally, I wanted this pokemon to be the honorary set up physical sweeper/revenge killer of the team. The life orb drain punch combo is a nice duo and this lucario wants in on that. As traditional for lucarios. Extreme speed is the best priority for the physical side due to good coverage across the board and has a little more power over STAB mach punch. Ice punch and crunch are on this one instead of some other priority move so I gets alot of coverage. I will keep it on the team.
Landorus @ choice scarf
Trait: Sand force
Nature: Adamant
Evs: 252 atk, 4 def, 252 spd
Moves:
hammer arm
Earthquake
rock slide
U-turn
This landorus is a standard choice scarf user. However I will eventually make it some way to break out of the standard set. (Just not anytime soon) It is to check terrakions and fire types in general. Not much else to say here.
Galvantula @ Expert belt
Trait: compound eyes
Nature: timid
Evs: 4 HP, 252 spatk, 252 spd
Moves:
Thunder
Energy ball
Bug Buzz
Volt switch
Galvantula was a valued member in my single player run of black and white and ultimately was what made me use bug types more. So this is the honorary special attacker of the team. Two electric types in one team is odd, but considering galvantula doesn't share weaknessess with other electric type weaknesses thanks to it's typing. It allows it to run with other electric type pokemon. This set is made to cover as much ground as possible for this thing. This was a challenge to set up since of how shallow it's move pool in coverage is more situational if anything. Volt switch serves as its scout move against rock types. Yes rock types. It is to switch out to something that can take a hit from it's weaknessess. Galvantulas objective is to hurt hard or sucker switch on an attacker.
I await to here from all you about this squad. I really look forward to hearing from you guys.
