BLUE Team

hi, i wanted to use something famous from the anime series and build a team around it. Recently i came into liking Wobbuffet, he is team rockets second famous, right after Meowth. And since Meowth is not very strong, here we go with wobbuffet...

btw, this team will be kind of unique, i want use only blue colored pokemons to match with Wobbuffet, but still stay competetive. And please dont suggest Latios, i dont like him.

note: the team has tendency to win, but there might be better blue pokes that can take the team in a different direction (e.g. add shiny politoed >>> blue drizzle team)

TEAM IN DETAIL

Shiny Gengar / Levitate @ Black Sludge
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spe / 4 SDef
- Substitute
- Disable / Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
Most of the time my lead, but not always. With the combination of Substite and Disable he can shut down many pokes. He is here to avoid ground and fighting attacks and absorbing Toxic when i predict right. I used to run Destiny Bond instead of Disable, but its a 50/50 deal. trading one poke for another might put me in a disadvange or let me get rid of something nasty. Its a great move and should not be overlooked. As item i choose Black Sludge in case opponent is running a Trick poke.

Shiny Starmie / Natural Cure @ Leftovers
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin

Starmie helps me spin away unwanted entry hazards, plus is a great status absorber. Surf is here for STAB, Ice Beam and Thunderbolt for coveridge. I gave Starmie Leftovers instead of the classic Life Orb so she can live longer. Not much to add here, we all know her, we all love her.
Possible blue pokes with Rapid Spin as a replacement are: Blastoise, Donphan, Hitmontop, Tentacruel, Shiny Cloyster.

Wobbuffet / Shadow Tag @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Def / 228 SDef / 28 HP
- Encore
- Safeguard / Destiny Bond / Tickle / Charm
- Counter
- Mirror Coat

My star, my hero. This thing is a beast if you know how to use it. He can easily revenge kill choiced revenge killers. This poke can really sharpen your prediction skills. Whether to use Encore on a boosting move or go straight for the kill is many times hard to predict. Safeguard is probably a better option here, although I never have the chance to use the fourth move. I was thinking changing his nature to Calm and use Charm. This way I wont be threatened by physical pokes and he will take special hits better. What do you think?

373.gif

Salamence / Moxie @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Brick Break

I wanted a dragon in my team so i added Salamence. He is a great revenge killer. If am lucky enough, he can take out 3 intead of 2 pokes with Outrage. With Moxie boost, he just keeps getting stronger. He is very important in the team. After all, or most counters are gone, he just swoops in and take the cake. Outrage is his most powerfull move. Dragon Claw is a weaker version of Outrage without the drawback, which i almost never use. Earthquake and Brick Break is for steel types that manage to get past Wobbuffet.

Kingdra / Swift Swim @ Chesto Berry
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 168 HP / 164 Atk / 172 Spe / 4 SDef
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Waterfall
- Rest

I added Kingdra simply because I didnt find anything better. Well, I didnt look very thoroughly. As i said before, there might be better ways to take this team, but adding Kingra made me realize that all i need now is Magnezone. So i guess this is one way to build a blue team around Wobbuffet. Also Gliscor paired up with a special wall was giving my Starmie trouble, and i think Kingdra is a good counter for it. I choose here the Chesto/Rest set cos a bulky poke was needed. With Swift Swim I can abuse opponents rain. Since Salamence is tend to be for late game, Kingdra is used early and mid game to bring out opponents steel types, which I can then trap and kill with Magnezone or try to destroy with Salamences Earthquake.

Magnezone / Magnet Pull @ Air Balloon
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SAtk / 220 Spe / 36 HP
- Substitute
- Charge Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Since Kingdra entered the team, there was no other choice than Magnezone. Thank god they made him blue colored, right? :) Anyway, Air Baloon is chosen to survive potential Earthquake. With Substitute and Charge Beam Combo I can boost his special attack. Thunderbolt is a great STAB and destroys water types that carry Ice Beams and HP [Fire] is needed to destroy steel types. I need an advice wheather i should use a more bulky set on him to tank hits from Ferrothorn much better...

thx for reading and pls rate!

Gengar isnt blue. Maybe an Azelf lead instead of the Gengar? Maybe change Brick Break on Salamence to Fire Blast. Then change the 4 hp evs into special att.

are you sure? shiny gengar looks little bit blue, but not the classic blue of course. i can change him no problem. but Azelf doesnt seem right, i already have 2 psychic types.

you can nitpick over Gengar's color, but I don't see that it matters. It still fits the general motif. If you feel it's necessary to keep the blue-ness, you might try rotom-w for the levitate, or maybe shiny Nidoking if you want the poison immunity. right now I see your team having issues with something like Gastrosdon or rotom-w, you might want to consider hidden power grass for Starmie or someone else. altogether a pretty solid team though.

Also just a bit of trolling here too since everyone else is. Magnezone isn't really blue either it's more of a metalic silvery type color. ;D

@Dietcoke101:
yes, thank you for link, even though its not showing shinies...
am checking out blue pokes at this page

@Pokemasta77:
i tried that shiny gliscor btw, but i got the feeling he didnt fit in at all.

and I thought the same thing about Magnezone, and i was hesitating whether i should use him, so no hard feelings. Nothing is perfect. i will try to correct myself, I want the team to be all blue, or atleast close to blue like gengar and mangezone (as you guys pointed out)

p.s. pls dont troll, i know its not your everyday team and you think its stupid to make something like this, but if you have the time, try the team for yourself and let me know what you think and what weakneses i should patch.
