You don't think the Ravens will make the playoffs without Suggs (whos scheduled to return in 4-6 months by the way) and with an offseason for Torrey Smith to develop? Lol.
A timeline set by Suggs, who last I checked wasn't a doctor. Actual Doctors have said that players don't fully recover from his injury until 11 months later, and putting him on beforehand is a gamble. Further, even if you're right, and Suggs comes back in November like he says, and is fully ready, he still missed that first stretch of games where they play the Bengals, Eagles, Patriots, Chiefs, Cowboys, and Texans. I see all those games as easily loseable for the Ravens, which would put them at an realistic 3-4 going into double Steelers, Chargers, Bengals, Broncos Giants games later in the season.
Further an offseason for Torrey Smith to develop as what? I'd be cautious in calling him a passable deep threat (no pun intended) last season and an average regular wide out. If he develops into even a solid receiving option, I'd be impressed. He's a speed demon, no doubt, but definitely lackluster. He certainly didn't show any flash towards having a Gronkowski-esque second season.
Honestly, I'd be really worried if I was a Ravens fan, rather than gung ho. And since I actually am a large AFC North fan, I am worried for them.

No, I don't. The reason behind this is that I'm convinced this will be Lewis' last year. I also think age will catch him and his production will slow this year. Without Suggs (who will not be 100% until after the season is over anyway), the defense will lack a serious pass rusher period. Upshaw has high potential but he's still a rookie. Couple that with a new DC coming in and Ed Reed missing part of the season due to injury (hunch, hasn't happened yet obviously), Ravens D will be a mere shadow of its former self.
On the offensive side, their QB is still Joe Flacco, who is not a high caliber QB. Throw as many stats at me as you want, I've been watching him since he was a rookie and I would rank him about the same as Alex Smith. This team has been taken to the playoffs by their defense and Ray Rice, and without the defense Rice will not be able to shoulder the load by himself. Incidentally, due to the increased load on Rice, he will have a down year (by his standards) as the Ravens miss the playoffs at 9-7.
Please bear in mind that these predictions I made were largely intuitive, so I could very easily be proven wrong. I, however, stand by them and can't wait to see how they turn out.
Suggs is arguably our best player, but what a lot of you don't realise is that Kruger had 6 sacks in limited time, and Courtney Upshaw will be an upgrade over Jarrett Johnson. Neither of them are Suggs, but they're pretty talented - I wouldn't be surprise to see our defense be top 5 again this season. It's a tough stretch of schedule but I very very much doubt that we go 3-4 over it when we lost four games all of last season. We have 3 players over 30 I think out of our main starters, Flacco is still improving (I hope) and our cornerbacks haven't even entered their primes yet. LaDarius Webb conceded ZERO touchdowns in his first complete season since his injury, Jimmy Smith is a sophomore and looks like he could be an absolute stud and Cary Williams is a fine nickel who could start as a number two CB for many teams. I'm also going to have to respectfully disagree with you about Torrey Smith. Almost 1000 yards receiving (841 when he wasnt getting regular snaps to start) at 17 yards per catch isn't a passable deep threat? He's a rookie....you've got to be kidding me if you dont think he has a chance to crack 1000 yards in his second year. I know you were just making predictions for fun and I know you don't follow the Ravens like I do, but I think you're completely wrong about us making the playoffs. We have a similar number (if not fewer) issues then teams like the Patriots (amazing aerial offense with dominant tight ends but a suspect running game and especially defense, although the draft may help with that) and a few of the other teams WaterBomb put ahead of us. This could sound like homer speak, but I'm also the person who said that the Lakers aren't gonna get out of the second round without a non DFish point guard (and even then we still might struggle if we make it past Denver). I'm as realistic as a sports fan gets, and assuming that Ngata, Flacco or another integral player doesn't have a catastrophic injury, I'm comfortable in saying that the Ravens have a very high shot at a wild card at minimum.
