If you're using Specs then all you need to do is multiply your Sp. Atk stats by 1.5 before putting it in the calc, because that's all they do.

Yes, I'm aware of this. Although it's not entirely possible to do that if, say, your pokemon would have received a baton-passed Sp. Atk boost first, or gained a boost from Charge Beam, because you can't put in a 2.25x boost (a 1.5x boost is easy, because that's just a stage 1 boost to Sp. Atk).

The inaccurate move details are the more annoying part - for instance, if you have Ninjask use X-scissor on Alakazam, it does only 1-2 damage, according to Metalkid, but if you override it with the exact same details (Bug, power 80, physical), it says it does 299 - 352 damage (which certainly sounds more reasonable).

Obviously, for Cresselia, you save before it flees to get the Nature, IVs, etc reset if it's bad. But my question is this; does the Synchronize trick work with Cresselia if you have the Pokemon in your first slot when you get it to flee? Thanks.

This is gonna be hard for me to explain, but maybe someone might be able to understand what I'm saying, hopefully. Anyways, how do you guys know what the max number of points are on a pokemon? Lets say you have Azelf and it has 25 IVs in speed. How would you know what the max speed stat will be? Including 252 EVs by the way. Also, on some of the analyses, there are some descriptions of pokemon that say, you need at 100 evs for this stat. Yada, yada, yada. How do you know how much EVs to exactly put in a stat? Do you just addthe base stats plus the EVs? Or is there something else to it?

Easy. Take the max stat with beneficial nature (Speed) and subtract 6 from it, and that's your stat.

Team edge: why do you think that when I post a team, I refuse to disclose EV spreads? I am confident and competent enough to know what EVs are optimal; so why should I share that information and jettison my edge? This is arguably comparable to breeding for IVs. However, everyone knows what IVs are best. To know what EVs are optimal requires an understanding of the mechanics through learning and experience; much like battling skill. In my Pokemon analyses, I give ballpark recommendations for EVs, but it is up to the individual to improve upon them.

About the EV question

Sadly not. Synchronise will not work against Mespirit or Cresselia at any stage.

what is needed to OHKO min def/hp garchomp with weavile's ice shard?
367 is the minimum attack needed to always OHKO (only 312 attack and above is needed to OHKO some of the time - i.e for use with Stealth Rock) Mence with Ice Shard. This is obtained by using Adamant with max attack, or simply Jolly with Life Orb/Choice Band.

What would be a good defenseive wall moveset for Dusknoir?
I think all Dusknoir sets are 'defensive wall sets', and they usually consist of Will-O-Wisp, Pain Split, and then two attacking moves. They could be Shadow Punch, Earthquake, Ice Punch, Thunderpunch etc.

What's a good moveset for Registeel? I'm looking for one that will wall/counter Specsmence.
Firstly you will need Ice Punch from the Emerald move tutor. I think you would also need something like Rest, in order to ensure you could repeatedly switch in/recover off a wrong prediction. As far as the rest of the moveset goes, it could either be any number of support moves, or an attacking move such as Earthquake (good type coverage), Explosion (boom) or Thunderbolt to hurt a Gyarados switch-in. The support moves mentioned could be Stealth Rock, Thunderwave or Toxic.

Another useful thing is that Registeel doesn't need any attack EV's to always 2HKO both Salamence/Garchomp (with no real defence EV's) with Ice Punch.

1. Is there a offline version of Metalkid's IV calculator? (yes another question involving breeding and/or team building, sue me okay)

2. At what level range does Pickup get the most rare candies?

3. Who carrys Black Sludge and where can I find that pokey?

Just wondering, but how would you know exactly how many EVs and all that stuff to put onto a certain Pokemon? I asked this earlier, but the answer I got back was I had to think about myself or something like that?
