I need a bit of trade advice!
In my money league, I'm currently sitting pretty nicely at 3-0. It's an extremely shallow league with only 4 bench spots, starting 2 RBs and 3 WR/TEs with no flex (plus a QB/K/Def). Here's my team currently:
QB: Brees
RB: Charles, Sproles, D. Brown, B. Tate
WR-TE: White, Harvin, Bowe, Celek, Cobb
I like it, but I see a lot of room improving past my starters. I was hoping to swing a couple trades in order to improve my position on both by trading it to guys in high need.
For the first trade, I wanted to send
D. Brown and Bowe over to Team A in return for A. Hawkins and D. Murray. His current team:
RB: AP, Morris, Murray, Bush
WR-TE: T. Smith, A. Gates, D. Thomas, A. Hawkins
He's started Morris since week 2, and Murray has been just sitting on the bench. His WRs need massive help (last week, Thomas, Gates, and Stephen Hill combined for *4* points for him), obviously. Murray's value is at a low point right now, but I'm weary about sending Bowe over when he was targeted an obscene amount last week.
For the second trade, I'd try to
send Tate over to the Foster owner. His team:
RB: Foster, Martin, D. Williams
WR-TE: Green, Davis, Pettigrew, Rudolph, Decker
Would it be crazy for me to ask for
Vernon Davis in return for Tate? He's currently sitting on this guy's bench in favor of Pettigrew/Rudolph. If I couldn't get him, I'd probably try to trade for
Decker instead.
If both trades managed to go through, I'd be looking at this for my team:
RB: Charles, Sproles, Murray
WR-TE: White, Harvin, Davis/Decker, Celek, Hawkins, Cobb
Lose: D. Brown, B. Tate, Bowe
A pretty big improvement over RB #3, with a slight decline in #3 receiver and dropping the #4 RB.
Any thoughts? Should I stick with what I have to avoid rocking the boat? I wasn't sold on Murray coming into the season, and if he got hurt after these trades I'd be in a ton of trouble.
If this situation unfolded I'd probably drop Hawkins for Bennett off waivers and Cobb for a QB, as add prices go up next week and I need a QB for week 6.
