The Official "Complain about being beat by Seattle Defense" Thread

Weak at RB. Have nice receivers/TEs. League C ;o.

edit: down by 4. gb defense has 5 points. hail mary. TOUCHDOWN!

*checks score*

82-83 I lose.

Somebody in my money league needed Rodgers to have 10 points, without fractional points. He finished with 9, 2 passing yards shy of a 9th passing point and 3 rushing yards shy of a 2nd rushing point. He lost by less than a point (he had the bench advantage).

Hilarious.

I won in one league when all he needed was Rodgers and Lynch to score 20 points and i won by 1 hahaha.

I did get creamed in the Smogon league though. It didn't make a difference in the result, but I second guessed myself not starting RG3, Lance Moore and Pitta over Cam, Floyd and Finley. 25 points or so left on the table, I gotta trust my gut.

Leagues without fractional points or PPR make me sad =/. It's really frustrating to have your RB rush for 89 yards and your WR get 78 yards and they get 8 and 7 points respectively, and then that's how much you lose by.

Smogon B League got nothing on my autodraft skills.

1. Baltimore Bullets 3-0-0 1.000 460.02 369.72
2. Everest 2-1-0 .667 381.62 341.64

Yeah your autodraft was bs cause it took all the WR's I wanted haha. I have my 2 top RB's (Forte, Spiller) injured and my top WR (Nicks) injured too though, so once I am healthy you are firmly in my crosshairs ^_^.

shit Stafford is questionable.

guess it's time to trust Russel Wilson to have another day like last night.

Julio Jones is still questionable, i'll start Golden Tate over him if he's out.

Julio won't miss the game, I can almost guarantee it. He got hurt early in Sunday's matchup, but came back into the game and played most of it.

Stafford will probably play barring a setback, even if he doesn't practice. If he can walk and jog, they'll probably put him out there.

Shaun Hill is actually a pretty serviceable backup. He played decently in his limited action in previous years, and he'd probably be stupid easy to get off the wire. Just a thought.

I need a bit of trade advice! :toast:

In my money league, I'm currently sitting pretty nicely at 3-0. It's an extremely shallow league with only 4 bench spots, starting 2 RBs and 3 WR/TEs with no flex (plus a QB/K/Def). Here's my team currently:

QB: Brees

RB: Charles, Sproles, D. Brown, B. Tate

WR-TE: White, Harvin, Bowe, Celek, Cobb

I like it, but I see a lot of room improving past my starters. I was hoping to swing a couple trades in order to improve my position on both by trading it to guys in high need.

For the first trade, I wanted to send D. Brown and Bowe over to Team A in return for A. Hawkins and D. Murray. His current team:

RB: AP, Morris, Murray, Bush

WR-TE: T. Smith, A. Gates, D. Thomas, A. Hawkins

He's started Morris since week 2, and Murray has been just sitting on the bench. His WRs need massive help (last week, Thomas, Gates, and Stephen Hill combined for *4* points for him), obviously. Murray's value is at a low point right now, but I'm weary about sending Bowe over when he was targeted an obscene amount last week.

For the second trade, I'd try to send Tate over to the Foster owner. His team:

RB: Foster, Martin, D. Williams

WR-TE: Green, Davis, Pettigrew, Rudolph, Decker

Would it be crazy for me to ask for Vernon Davis in return for Tate? He's currently sitting on this guy's bench in favor of Pettigrew/Rudolph. If I couldn't get him, I'd probably try to trade for Decker instead.

If both trades managed to go through, I'd be looking at this for my team:

RB: Charles, Sproles, Murray

WR-TE: White, Harvin, Davis/Decker, Celek, Hawkins, Cobb

Lose: D. Brown, B. Tate, Bowe

A pretty big improvement over RB #3, with a slight decline in #3 receiver and dropping the #4 RB.

Any thoughts? Should I stick with what I have to avoid rocking the boat? I wasn't sold on Murray coming into the season, and if he got hurt after these trades I'd be in a ton of trouble.

If this situation unfolded I'd probably drop Hawkins for Bennett off waivers and Cobb for a QB, as add prices go up next week and I need a QB for week 6.

All right. I've decided that this is the last week I'm giving Chris Johnson a chance. If he doesn't perform like a Number 1 RB this week, I'm gonna have to put him up for a trade. Can't afford a dead slot in the lineup week after week.

Implying anyone else wants him in the first place :)

I'm at the point where I'm just riding out the storm. I've had a bad streak so far, but I feel my lineups are still solid and I should rebound. 0-3 you can still recover from to make the playoffs, but 0-4...

Officially benching Newton in the two leagues I have him in, starting this week. He needs to perform before I trust him as the starter. I have RGIII and Andy Dalton to back me up right now

This. I was this close to starting RG3 over Cam last week and got burnt, and he doesn't look like he's slowing down so RG3 gets my start this week.

Oh man anyone else start Pitta? And I had Rudolph sitting on my bench. The worst part about Thursday games in fantasy is making a mistake and having to wait three days...

I'd still go Newton just because Schaub tends to score lower. The Texans are super run heavy so you can't expect Schaub to produce every week. Newton will still get rushing carries as well as rebound somewhat from last week, so I'd go that route.

Lol Pitta.

Remember, RGlll is facing the Bucs this week. They play very conservely and managed to completely shutdown Cam Newton and then held off the Cowboys. Don't be surprised if RGlll looks mediocre this game. Though i'm not saying that Cam will do better against the Falcons.. Just wanted to point out how it's unlikely RGlll does anything impressive this game.
